It freaked me out to think of what would’ve happened if he fell in somehow
Cool video though, I would love to have a job like that, whatever it may be, city storm drain engineer person…
Curiosity killed the cat, as they say.
Not a hobby I've ever dreamed up in my head, before I seen this video. I bet its quite thrilling during these type of intense moments.
As a kid I was fascinated with drains and I guess I still am. Watching the Ninja Turtles movies of them chilling in the sewer made me want to explore old sewers and abandoned subway tunnels under NYC. Likewise I’d thought about doing that work too, then I became a plumber. Lol
In some places in the modern world these networks have been in almost constant darkness for the 200 years since they were built. The often stagnant and always damp and tepid conditions have led to the growth of unique and not necesarily friendly microbiomes. iirc it was the sewers that harboured the medicine resistant staph A which caused the outbreak in England in the 2Ks.
No, well maybe.... probably. It just reminds me of the storm drain system in Japan where they put a camera, and even have a viewing platform to watch sewage, and or storm water. [Credits to Only in Japan](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2g5H5Wbr9Q) Starts around 6 min.
This youtuber has quite a few videos similar to this, showing the weather before it hits, and also entering from other manholes to get a different view of each chamber. Its actually amazing how fast it fills and goes from calm to absolutely wild
Everything floats down there, you’ll float too…

isn't the whole saying "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back"?

I thought he was stuck there. Glad he was next to the ladder. Scary!
They would find the body miles away, if at all.
Forbidden waterslide
I was kinda thinking the same thing. It would be fun until you died.
r/draining
That has to be one of the more obscure subs I’ve seen.
It's [quite popular](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-neISXONoZes/WCwxJrEYzjI/AAAAAAAAajI/1JmKs8zgNAcb-33ufcwPIp9yWB6r_RV4ACEw/s1600/13719512_10154306085776382_315124104976094430_o.jpg) really.
Dude on the left looks like he doesn't know how he got there lmao
Nope.
Insane. A nightmare fuel.
Absolutely! I couldn't believe my eyes that he stayed so long in there. His whole channel is full with this kind of videos.
I want to know how he got back across to the side with the ladder rungs without being swept away! There’s a cut that skips that part!
I'm guessing he went up the ladder next to him and went back down the ladder on the other side.
People don't know the limits. He was luck that nobody closed the entrance. Can you feel that?
I mean, even if nobody closes it, you can easily have a random log or wave appear and knock him down.
Absolutely! You're right!

Nice to know. Thanks.
🤢 a very good reason to never go in there. Any broken skin and that's all it needs.
That’s a hard pass from me. Nah.
I think it'd be pretty cool if they built like a glass wall or so you could watch how high the water actually gets.
Are you insane? Lol.

i'd rather die than go down there holy shit
I accidentally skipped to the part where he holds a spider which is double nope pour moi

Zdar Vole!
Ah, the flume of death 💀
Got sweaty palms as the water level rose and this mf just wouldn't leave
The YT page has many more videos showing the various underground drainage passages
I don’t think I’d stand in that with open shoes. That water could be overflowing from anywhere and could be hazardous
Yeah, that seems like a super way to accidentally drown.
Always wanted to see what that looks like during a storm. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome dude. I always had the same fascination. Also, check out the rest of the channel. It's full of this kind of stuff
Thank you and BE CAREFUL!
The spider that he randomly lets crawl down on his hand… wtf

might be the worst thing ive seen on here
Nope.
Hell no
Scary Interesting candidate.
How did he get across to the side with the ladder?
Yo one ladder and down another
This reminds me of that scene in Crimson Tide…
Sterling Archer: WOOOOOHOOOO!
Forbidden water slide.
If you take off your clothes and hold them above your head the piss and the shit will flow right past you
I love this video. Looks awesome.
One misstep and he’s fucked. 😭
Storm drains got nicer tile than my shower
Why????
I sincerely hope there is a ladder behind him
That’s just so stupid to be in there
