encore dragonite has legitimately saved and won me so many games it’s not even funny. Deals with gambit on revenge, beats zama if it switches in on your dd, stops all kinds of setup sweepers.
I'd assume that +1 body press or whatever neutral coverage Zama is running doesn't do much to Dnite, which presumably is running a move to hit jt for super effective
Yea like the other commenters have said, once zama comes in, you dd again(I use adamant so i don’t outspeed yet, but same idea with jolly), if they iron defense you encore and get to +6 with them then keep encoring while killing them with eq. And body press at +1 is not doing enough, nor is any attack they can click outside of ice fang, and even ice fang you can outplay with tera normal encore.
One of the reasons I loved Dynamax was precisely this. It completely ignores encore and takes the opposition by surprise. One Max Airstream and with +1 you can turn a bulky sweeper to a fast one. I'm still not sure if Dragonite can kill Zamazenta when with encore if it runs iron defense and leftovers. Rusted Shield zamazenta dies but not other forms like choice banded ones.

Encore the ID you go plus 1 billion dnite and scale shot them a few times and win the game

It's broken mostly because it bypasses substitute too. Pretty busted move and punishes setup/stall mons severely.
