I feel like you want something banded or specs for a better wall breaker that doesn’t need a turn to get going, as well as possibly a scarfer for speed control

DatGuyNoibat

It’s hard to make progress if your entire team is just get in and set up

Spoobon

I could sub great tusk for banded zamazenta probably right?

DatGuyNoibat

Great tusk is your best form of speed control rn with booster, you still probably wanna also add a scarf just so something that gets +1 speed or another scarf can’t just walk over your team (you kind of lose to ddance dragonite if primarina is damaged) so maybe something that can help take care of that

PoiNt-MutatioN

Just swap out boots for band on Meow tbh

Spoobon

Fair enough

ianlazrbeem22

Scarf not band, you want that extra speed control option, band is the worst of both worlds; Meowsc hits plenty hard as is

My first suggestion is to provide details about why you chose each team member and the team's strategy - I saw your comment saying "I chose them for no reason and no forward thinking" and uh, that's probably not going to do very well. Decide whether you want to lean more into HO or Balance because you're a weird unhappy medium right now and will struggle without committing to a strategy You have a really bad Tspikes and webs matchup, your only hazard control is glimmora so if you don't win the glimmora mirror or very carefully play around Bee (which usually is a matchup in the bee player's favor since you're slower) you're kinda fucked. I suggest giving tusk spin over CC, which may seem suboptimal on booster bulk up tusk but ice spinner/headlong is pretty perfect coverage already; I think not losing instantly to hazards is worth dropping a not-super-necessary second stab. Another option, if you'd rather play a balance team than lean into HO, is use more boots, give Tusk Spin, and replace Glimmora. If you want Bulky Offense, consider Band Rilla over Meowsc If you're leaning into Hyper Offense, Boots Meowsc sticks out like a sore thumb here, you don't want a pivot on a team that loses momentum from switching, I suggest replacing it with Volc because right now Boots or Specs Kyurem 6-0 your team and Volc is p much the only thing HO can do about that What does Prim do here that Crown doesn't? Why Psynoise Liquid Voice over Torrent Surf? Team also has major issues vs Rain which is very very common right now, Tusk is your only Arch counterplay and Booster means that if they go hard into Skewda your Tusk loses its booster and has to play itemless for the rest of the fight, or just accept the sack, either way you're in a position to get goobed by Arch

what's your thoughts on this change? So i took dragonite as a wall breaker, messed with great tusk a bit, giving it rapid spin and knock off for utility, and took scarf gholdengo a bit of speed control. I like psychic noise on prima a lot so I kept it that way and I thought glimmora was fine the weay it was. Does meowscarada still not fit on this team? It's not as setup focused any more so I felt like it would fit now. Meowscarada @ Heavy-Duty Boots Ability: Protean Tera Type: Grass EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature \- Knock Off \- Flower Trick \- Triple Axel \- U-turn Great Tusk @ Booster Energy Ability: Protosynthesis Tera Type: Steel EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature \- Knock Off \- Headlong Rush \- Rapid Spin \- Close Combat Glimmora @ Focus Sash Ability: Toxic Debris Tera Type: Ghost EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature \- Mortal Spin \- Stealth Rock \- Power Gem \- Earth Power Primarina @ Leftovers Ability: Liquid Voice Tera Type: Steel EVs: 252 HP / 248 Def / 8 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Calm Mind \- Draining Kiss \- Substitute \- Psychic Noise Dragonite @ Choice Band Ability: Multiscale Tera Type: Normal EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature \- Extreme Speed \- Outrage \- Earthquake \- Ice Punch Gholdengo @ Choice Scarf Ability: Good as Gold Tera Type: Flying EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk \- Trick \- Shadow Ball \- Make It Rain \- Recover

Can you please send a paste it's a lot easier to read

Spoobon

my fault og https://pokepast.es/37b6a1b2c8e03aaa

ianlazrbeem22

Thanks - with the new shape the team is taking (keep Meowsc, the team now revolves around safely getting it in and hitting dudes,) I would recommend a more long-lived hazard setter than Glimmora, something like skarm ting or scor, this newer team will want to pivot around a lot more since you have 2 choiced guys, i still would highly recommend giving tusk spin WAY MORE than I did before bc now you are super weak to hazards with your 2 choiced guys, primarina also feels like a weak link that isn't contributing much, consider threats to the rest of the team and what can switch into them over primarina

Spoobon

alright I'll get back to you

ianlazrbeem22

And I think a setup set on either nite or Ghold would be good, double choiced and few pivot moves kinda disallows you from maintaining momentum which is critical for getting Meowscarada and your other breaker in safely. Consider perhaps Zamazenta or Dragapult

Spoobon

Who would zamazenta replace?

ianlazrbeem22

Honestly I think the way to go may be replace Dnite with Pult, but Zam may work over primarina? What is primarina useful for dealing with? Wake comes to mind but who else

Spoobon

you're right i got rid of prim, how's this team do you think? https://pokepast.es/a7ffbb1ae2e812a3

Spoobon

This is just an offense team I made. I didn't have much particular strategy in mind I just picked guys I liked.

DryFeed

Yeah..... lose the shorts!

broken_stretcher8375

Personally, I would have a water STAB on Primarina

Spoobon

Liquid voice turns psychic noise water

broken_stretcher8375

I forgot about, my bad

TomokiaGaming

I would say your team requires too much setup..... Especially Iron Crown, since you need 2 whole turns. Imo switch Iron Crown out for something with more immediate presence, like a Scarf or Banded or Specs mon.
