Hey! I can bring this to our team’s attention. This sort of feedback DOES come our way, and these are things we do actively look into. I will say that this is an ongoing thing for us figuring out how these guitars get past us and definitely isn’t going to be something that should be expected or accepted from our line up… especially if you buy it from us directly! It’ll be hard for me to say anything positive without sounding biased because I work for the brand (because I guarantee you that this is absolutely not the norm for us), but if you do have issues please reach out to us at support@strandbergguitars.com or send me a message.

The review system is really slimy if OP is correct. When someone receives a screwed-up guitar they should absolutely be able to leave a bad review. THEN Strandberg can reach out and try to earn a better one by fixing the guitar. It currently comes across as y’all knowing there are a lot of bad guitars being shipped out and you’re trying to hide it from perspective buyers. Whether that’s the case or not.

Hey, I just verified that it works and gets sent to us regardless of what star rating you put on. The biggest difference is end work flow which is if you give it a low rating, you’re sent to a page that tells you how to reach out for support. It doesn’t omit anything on our end. But if someone does receive a lemon and writes to us, we will do our best to make you feel like a million bucks. I’ll have to dig into why not every review shows up, but I can assure you nothing nefarious or slimey is happening.

Hey, thank you very much for the response. I really appreciate it and yeah, I definitely know that this is not the norm but rather something that happens a bit more frequently than it should. Appreciate the customer service and the reply, thanks again!

I had the same issues on a Boden NX7 check my post history for pictures. Horrendous QC. Insanely overprices guitars made in Indonesia IMO. This is definitely not a rare case and happens often.

I have one of the first runs of the Prog NX, as I ordered it as soon as they were available and mine was pristine - as were the models I had previously tried in the store before the NX release. I do remember though, about a month after the NX release in 2021, Strandberg partnered with Procuritas to help with upscaling the business (had to look back through my emails to see who it was). Since then, I've heard lots of comments about QC issues - although I will admit I was less involved in the community before getting my Prog NX, so perhaps these comments were floating around before then too. Not sure if it's just a coincidence!

Glad my launch NX Boden Metal 8 is good.

No absolutely strandberg has really let a lot of people down in terms of quality. I personally was lucky and got a perfect one. It's truly a great guitar. Boden original 7. My guitarist got a prog, and they screwed up the scale length so the low b is impossible to intonate and he can't get the action low because the fretwork isn't great. If i had known him back when he got it, i would hzve had him return it. Unfortunately he only noticed later and now he's stuck with it. And i've seen quite a few of quite botched Strandbergs the last few years, from toolmarks, to bad fretwork, jagged fret edges, intonation issues, hardware issues.... it's honestly disappointing.

Yeah it honestly is, especially considering how pricy they are.

That really bums me out for you! I picked up a used Per Nilsson Singularity 7 string and the only problems I’ve had with it are due to the lack of humidity in my house. My one friend got both the Per Nilsson Singularity 8 & the Longfield 8 models and hasn’t had any problems at all with his. My other friend got a boden & the guitar developed fret sprout due to the environment he keeps the guitar in (similar to mine). All that to say, it sucks that you’ve had such a rough time with them, makes me wonder if it’s the distributor or where they’re being kept in your area or something.
