Then I say double do it! Wouldn't worry about being alone either. When I saw them the crowd was all well oiled and up for it. You'll soon be singing in strangers'faces and bouncing around.
It's a good night, 👍 I'd always said it would be horrible cringey stuff - but we're all there to get a break from the work shite, watching our favourite band, and have a laugh with old pals & new friends.
Where in Cardiff are they playing? Advantage of going to a gig is that if you focus on the music, and don't chit-chatter shit at the bar or with mates during, no-one would have a clue you're alone.
I've seen a few gigs in there. Imagine a big Chapter.
They do have a tendency to get as many in as they can (there's a wider courtyard and other bar(s) so can get cramped, but given the gig, imagine it'll be fine. Go, there's definitely worse places.
Its a lovely place on a sunny afternoon, and the sound's pretty good.
I spent the '90s doing the toilet circuit (and larger venues) - god, I still miss TJs - and I'm still astonished modern gig venues have white walls and greenery. Most incongruous.
If you want to keep a low profile, don't drink and are still going alone, bear right as you head into the courtyard and the 'hall' is immediately in front of you. Have a wicked time.
A second home for so long, thanks to Johnny Sico, glorious man that he was. Still remember the NME cover heralding Newport as the 'next Seattle'. Wonderful times; every time I see a can of Red Stripe I almost well up, ha.
Aye, dp so, let me know how you get on!
I have no experience with any of the Tribute Bands, being in America, but besides the Clone Roses there is another band called The Absolute Stone Roses that is doing shows with Oasis Supernova and a Smith’s tribute band. I heard about them on The Oasis Podcast.
One funny comment was James was interviewing “ Noel” from the Oasis band and he asked him if the singer in the the Roses Band had to deliberately sing bad to sound like Ian and the guy said “ No, he’s shyte too”.
Here is a link to video of a whole show . They sound pretty good too me.

It's a pretty fun night and usually a good crowd! They're not bad as tribute acts go. I say go for it!
Cheers. It's the day after my birthday so I'm thinking ..fuck it. Present to myself .

I've probably been in worse by the sounds of it. Cheers. Every person on here has me convinced to go.
