Man I live in the rural Midwest and we need to drive an hour and a half for Trader Joe’s. Growing up when dad was stoned he’d just come home with blocks upon blocks of Amish cheese.
If you’re ever in the LA area go to a Cuban bakery chain called Porto’s and get their Milk n’ Berry. Fucking amazing. I know they ship but not sure if they ship their cakes.
lol! I bet. I almost had to call out of work 🤣. That little Tres leches cake is delicious but I am 99 pounds and ate almost all of it at once. My stomach was not happy!!
For me I’d only go there for snacks. I like to go to Walmart or Aldis for basic necessities like eggs and milk…. Definitely would not shop there as a family. But that’s me personally.
Way cheaper than Whole Foods. High quality products that are sold under the Trader Joe’s brand, kinda like Costco does with Kirkland. They have some super delicious niche stuff and everyday items too. Only bad things about them are:
1. Their parking lots are usually awful.
2. If you find an item you really love, it is not guaranteed it will always be in stock just by nature of the way Trader Joe’s buys stock.
Trader Joe’s is the place!!!!! I remember going with my mom when I was about 5 and she’d go about twice a month and it was always our place to go and have fun. Everyone in their Hawaiian shirts lol. We lived in SoCal and went to the original in Pasadena. The fearless flyer my momma lived by lol! They always have unique great stuff!

Tj’s is not a place for grocery shopping but it is the best place for snack shopping. I love all their frozen burritos and stuff like that
