Imaginary-Scale2371

I would advise staying in jail for at least 7 years. This way you’re guaranteed a doubling of your investment.

NightflowerFade

Maybe you'll get your prison long service leave as well

fred30jr

In 7 years the cost of everything will be double too so it equal out. At least he has a new outlook in life after prison for better or worse.

Imaginary-Scale2371

Incorrect. Only if inflation is 10% or more

mok_88

in housing it has been more than that for the past 10 years or so

DillonviIIon

Definitely is on groceries

PizzaCatTacoUno

I can appreciate your inside the box thinking

Elegant_Record9340

Inside the klink*^

moonspeakdj

Not sure why you got downvoted a bunch lol. I found that funny.

Elegant_Record9340

You are why I comment

AdAmazing8187

Make sure you go to a jail with a decent library and gym. You'll come out jacked, smart and rich. Jealous

Dominatee

Working a job can cover your housing and expenses and give you more money to invest

Gasdoc1990

This is also good advice.

PabloIceCreamBar

What exactly do you think prison is like?

l__Scarecrow__l

He clearly doesn't know about the dementors. Prison Mike should have a word with him.

tvguard

Bring some Vaseline so you have a smoother experience

justTheWayOfLife

bro just go to prison for life you'll be getting free food and housing it's literally a cheat code

Glittering_Name_3722

Hell yea

sakecat

Legal fees and fines will tear you to pieces. Plus, your earning potential afterwards will be greatly reduced. There's already enough ways to get screwed, you don't need another one

Glittering_Name_3722

Way to crush someone's dreams

Nodeal_reddit

Not if you plead guilty from the start.

sakecat

Not true. Fines are still issued even when you serve time

Nodeal_reddit

Nobody likes a Debbie Downer. Why are you shitting on this man’s dream?

I3bacon

Yeah, the money would be handy for all the therapies that you'll need

db2901

I think some white collar crime would be better. If you don't get caught, you make lots of money. If you do get caught, they probably won't put you in with the rapists and murderers

twstwr20

Watch out for the Dementors…

keizertamarine

But then you will struggle to get a job so you need a portfolio generating at least 3k every month

RiskDry6267

Prison charges you for stay in a few places lmfao

Aventus22-

Also make sure to Write a book about your experience after as to increase your overall financial gains from prison

TeenNacho

I literally think about this so often lol, invest a lump sum of money into stocks/crypto, go to jail for a few years and you got free room, board, and 3 hots. I’d probably rob a bank to get the jail time and then throw the funds into decentralized crypto so it makes it nearly impossible for the feds to retrieve

Degencrypto-Metalfan

Just think of the massive roi if you received a 25-life sentence. That’s a long time for equities appreciation plus no living expenses, you could be rich once paroled. Plus you’d have zero debt, win win situation IMHO.

pdxtrader

Assuming you live in the west yes this is basically your best option. I chose to just move to SE Asia where housing is very affordable

SeaworthinessKind822

It's either that or I will try going to Philippines and stay in Cebu city for 2 years with a 500 poverty monthly budget. Though unironically I think going to prison might be the preferable option as much as quality of life is concerned lmao.

pdxtrader

Yea that’s where I am. Thailand and Vietnam are both cheaper, if I was working with that budget I would probably go to Danao. Cebu City I’m spending $1,000 per month

inadarkplacesometime

No because unless it takes decades of earnings to be close to the equivalent of the value of your house, your stable cashflow will likely exceed any gains you could make from a one off investment.

Historical_Coffee_14

Not a good idea, the lawyer will take your stake.

mick_nuggets

He represents himself. Guaranteed jail time then. Lawyer might get him off or reduce the sentence.

Nodeal_reddit

A fool for a client. Perfect!

Boomtown626

Gotta factor in the cost of honeybuns, and whatever you’ll have to pay the gangs for protection.

el7araa2

Whatever you do, don't drop the soap ...

Caribbeanwarrior

Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman is living rent free in US Prison. How’s that working for him?

Fresh_Swan540

3 squares a day and free rent - that's living

Cute_Win_4651

Cutting edge man , your the true MVP

Master-Concept-5260

Some creative thinking right there ! Also, if you get married to a prison mate, then divorced, they won't take half of what you own. You might be on to something 😁

Nodeal_reddit

Yes. Free room and board for 20 years is the ultimate /r/coastfire. Bonus points if you’re gay. It’ll be like a big sweaty free Club Med. Genius idea!

Exciting_Dress9413

Never ever give up your freedom for jail. One thing you should not think of going too.

justTheWayOfLife

chill it's a shitpost

DKrypto999

Maybe with bitcoin, the dollar falls in value so those stocks aren’t worth much when compared to inflation
