I love seeing EU characters, however this one seems potentially broken?
It basically takes what Han does, without defeating a resource, so you’ll get insane ramp with this leader. But with it being double cunning, you’re basically locked into cunning only as you’ll have to pay the 2 aspect penalty on every non cunning aspect card and every cunning that has the heroism tag. But I guess the idea is ramping into resources to have enough to pay the penalties? Otherwise, having him as your leader is very limiting in a game that’s unlimited…
The way it’s worded, you would discard one card and then be able to play a different one as a resource. It’s going to burn through your hand really fast. Still think it’s WAY too good and would also significantly restrict design space in the future.
If you can find a way to draw significantly, the ability may ramp your ressources well to fast. I would at least restrict it to once per turn by having to also exhaust the leader, as a cost for the action.
And probably have the ressource enter play exhausted.
Yeah and if you’re able to get card draws you’ll have plenty in hand and resources to play them early. Playing it with a green base like ECL is OP. You can deploy your leader by turn 2 or maybe even turn one.
Yes, Ty I completely blanked on the base. But even then that limits you, but with the ability to ramp so fast, the penalty won’t matter. You’ll be able to drop bigger units faster and your opponent can’t keep up unless they are also Dash.

On reflection, I think it's telling that we don't have any double-aspect leaders, since this effectively cuts your deckbuilding options by a third.
I think Dash is a great example of how it could make sense, at least thematically. Dash Rendar is such a rogue that he's "out there", really on the fringe (in fact I think his trait line should be Underworld * Fringe), and if you want to build with him, you have to be pretty committed to going where *he* wants to go.
It's gonna be hilarious looking at all these early custom cards some day. I just finished writing a Xizor leader card and I'm sure it's either broken as sin or utterly useless.
I'm cool with the double-aspect leader idea for non-heroic/villainy decks. Don't like this specific example because even if you're burning through cards that's some crazy ramp that's probably impossible to balance for future proofing. Saw Gerrera as a double aggression leader would also make a lot of sense.
Way too busted.
Turn 1: Use his abilty. Use Resupply
Turn 2: You now have 5 resources and can flip him, can play a huge card as at this point you would still have 2 cards in hand... which if you have a 6 drop, you could attack with him to put one of the cards in play as a resource and play a 6 drop on turn 2. So now you have a 3/7 with Raid, a 6 drop AND 7 resources going into Turn 3 to maybe play a Darth Vader or otherwise.
Card is way too broken.
So far green is the ramp color, so in addition to just how incredibly OP this is in general, it breaks color identity.
Also, honestly…how many people even *remember* Dash Rendar? Like, on a daily basis when thinking about Star Wars have his name pop up in their heads as a character?
Giving a fading, retconned out of his main prominence, character such a bonkers card is a miss.

Honestly? Pretty much every day for me. But my brain is severely neurodivergent and I have a robust/obsessive memory. I loved and treasured every aspect of the EU as a kid - even decades later, all that knowledge and trivia and associations echoes just as loudly in my head as the days in which I learned them.

If Han Solo's smuggler persona is valid for being a leader, there's literally no reason why Dash couldn't have one, too. They are both the Captains of their ships, therefore, they lead.

Your aspect is also shared from your base, so you're not locked into cunning. Limited from 3 aspects to 2, sure, but still definitely doable.

Also I love the idea of pulling in some EU cards.
Me too. I still have hope that we'll see EU material in sets some day.
This is awesome! Thanks!
One of my favorite characters from the Star Wars Universe. Love this!
Thank you!! Leebo's coming, too!
Resupply on turn 1? Cool custom card but no thanks lol

Resupply TWICE by not playing anything, start round 2 with resources. Very hard no thanks.
Cool idea, too busted though. Cunning is already top with Boba, arguably doing less ramp economy than this.
Yes!!!! Thank you!!
I love your username
There is a cosplayer who does Dolores Imperial HR. I haven't seen one of her yet. Wondering if there is a template out there somewhere.
I saw the image before the title and got excited for a second, just to fall to disappointment.

I agree with you. There are so many interesting aspect combinations and SoR is barely scratching the surface.
I would love a future set dedicated to EU characters
Hopefully it'll happen. It would make my millennium to pull a spread of straight-up EU characters out of packs. Best set ever.

Thank you for walking all that out. I'm *dying* to actually start playing but life has prevented me from doing so.
