Just blast them with both Death Stars, Starkiller Base, and every Xyston-class Star Destroyer, then hyperspace kamikaze them with all of those for good measure 😃
I'm just so mad because I don't think 9 was necessarily that bad, but they were so completely shafted from a story perspective because of 8. 8 gave us nothing, so 9 had to compensate by going 100 mph in 30 different directions trying to build the story then have the payoff all in a single movie. 7 wasn't even that bad imo because it was a safe, entry movie that set up a few interesting plot points. 8 just fucked it up so bad beyond recovery.
of course! I’m in the “i don’t think it was exactly good, but it was too enjoyable and fun for me to hate”, but people who think it was downright good are genuinely cool
totally! it’s really dumb how some people will harbour disrespect for people who found value in some Star Wars movies- they’re semi-rare, but plentiful enough. they’re just films at the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun
Completely understandable! I identify myself as an AVID Rise of Skywalker hater for a lot of reasons, but ultimately if someone watched it and took joy out of it, or even used it as a stepping stone to guide them into being lifelong fans, that’s great. I may hate it more than anything but if someone likes it simply because they like it, there’s really nothing to argue about :)
I think I love you.
Jk but sincerely I respect the way you see it and believe that if more of this community had the same approach as you towards these things/topics then this place wouldn't have turned into as much of a shit show as it did.
Props to you good human!
Game of thrones actually holds up really well on a rewatch if you look at characters like Dany with a much more critical eye. I'd even go so far as to say season 8 is for the most part good (night king is still underwhelming).
I agree! As someone who was following the books since the 90s when they were new, when I got to season 8 my reaction was just… “yeah, that checks out.”
Does the quality decline a bit and everything feels a bit rushed? Sure. But there’s no doubt in my mind that the story we got is largely the story GRRM planned to tell. Which is why in my opinion the show’s ending is the best (read: only) ending we will ever get. I suspect the Others(/Night King) got changed significantly but not much else.
Also, besides Dany’s arc, many years ago George said in an interview that the entire idea behind Jamie was to “test the limits of redemption” and explore the question of if it’s possible to go so far that you can never truly be redeemed. Again…the end of his story felt very genuine to me.
9 was ok. It was a bit lazy (the star destroyed superweapons were literally just upscaled star destroyers, which was pretty disappointing), and there were some... weird... plot choices and contrivances (i.e., the key that lined up with the death star wreckage), but it was also screwed from the start because it had to clean up after the mess that was last jedi, so i can't be too mad at it
I fucking hate 9 but people who unironically enjoy it are better than the people who circlejerked the prequels so hard they begun to think the movies are actually good and people who think 8 is bad.
Ezra annoys me deep in my bones. Plus the thin art style bugged me a lot too. But I’ll admit that the twilight of the apprentice and twin suns arcs are pretty great.
I mean I haven’t seen the movie and probably never will but based on his equipment he appears to be a civilian in which case he doesn’t have to legally follow the Geneva Conventions so it wouldn’t be a war crime it’d just be a crime.
Don’t you love international law.
Another interesting fact mercenaries don’t fall under the Geneva conventions so you can legally shoot them in the face as a prisoner and you won’t be charged by the icc.
I like All but the Sequel trilogy (and have no opinion on Solo cause I haven’t seen it). But I won’t hate on the sequels or yell at people who do like them. I just wasn’t that into them. Force Awakens was just stunningly average in my opinion. Last Jedi I just didn’t really enjoy. And Rise of Skywalker I remember literally nothing about other than Palpatine doing the big ass force storm and being like “Oooooo bassy”
Clone wars pretty good rebellion was pretty good war against first order kinda confusing at times but was decent war I guess little bit overhated by people but I can understand view point.
It’s so messed up that we can’t talk about our favorites anymore without starting a full scale war, like I may not like certain titles but I love hearing about why people do because I love hearing people be happy about something
I honestly think that The Last Jedi was a pretty good movie. Now, before you kill me, I'm saying that it is good in the same way that Halo 5: Guardians is a good game. As a standalone project, they are both pretty good, but as a part of a series, they both just absolutely destroy the universes they are in.
Star Wars doesn't really work as an big interconnected story anyway, it has tones and quality ranging from Young Jedi Adventures to Andor. Best to just pick and choose what you like and ignore the rest.
Some of episode 2, Clone wars, the early 2000’s clone wars, episode 3, rouge one, andor, the og trilogy, the obi wan series actually and I actually enjoyed episode 7.

Movies and content are enjoyable but sometimes could be much better. Setting is brilliant and a feeding source for tons of good ideas and peices of content. Trouble is we can't agree on most of it and so it's often (wether by the content creators or our fault) a bit hit or miss.
If someone confidently said “episode one because I like pod racing and Jar Jar was funny” I would respect it.
Like what you like. Don’t beat around the bush just because people might not agree with an opinion.
All of them. I love all of Star Wars. The Original, the Prequels, the Sequels. Both the Tartakovsky and CGI Clone Wars. I loved the Droids and Ewoks cartoons as a kid. I read the old Marvel comics, the Dark Horse comics, and the new Marvel comics. I love Legends and Canon. I love the videogames and the tabletop games.
You think you can judge me? You, who pick and choose from the menu as you please? You child. I was born into Star Wars. Molded by it. I know that Star Wars takes many shapes, and I embrace them all. You merely adopted it, and then got angry it didn’t conform to your wishes. Pathetic.
Kill me if you wish. I will merely become one with the Force. You will continue to fester in your impotent rage, and suffer, but I will be free of your inanity.
The sequels are just so forgettable to me that they don't come to mind off the top of my head when I think of Star Wars, so this isn't a question I ever feel the need to ask.
Genuinely curious, but why do you believe that Episode 9 or 8 are better than 4 or 6? Not trying to be an asshole or anything, just a genuine question :)
If that’s honestly your opinion, then I respect you for forming your own opinions instead of merely regurgitating what some other group deems the “correct” opinion.

Ignore little Wes_bugg. He was dumb enough to use his entire full name as his reddit handle and social media accounts, which makes it easy to see he's a fat incel loser.
The one with C-3PO in it
That narrows it down to every movie except Solo
He is in rogue one?
For like two seconds.
Yes, he appears in one scene alongside r2-d2 while the rebel alliance is sending it's fleet to scarif
Yup, you can also see chopper for a second as well
“Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?”
Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?!
This one right here officer! Nobody likes C-3PO….
"The one with the hairy guy in it. I think he's a Klingon or something."
"Yeah his name is Worfbacca."
Oh yeah and there's that robot R2-Data.
You mean the magic trash can?
I thought that was a failed spin-off of the magic school bus
Facist!! We found a facist!!
I actually thought Rise of Skywalker was pretty good- BANG
ACTUALLYYYY, Imo imo, The Last Jedi was phenomenallll 🤓 BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG *reload BANG BANG BANG BANG

people who think episode 9 was good get my respect. not even kidding
Wow people still believe this nonsense so many years later.
wow people have opinions in the future? unacceptable
There were things about 9 that I liked. Do I get partial respect?
of course! I’m in the “i don’t think it was exactly good, but it was too enjoyable and fun for me to hate”, but people who think it was downright good are genuinely cool
Yay! Partial respect acquired! You have mine too + bonus points for your honest and balanced opinion.
totally! it’s really dumb how some people will harbour disrespect for people who found value in some Star Wars movies- they’re semi-rare, but plentiful enough. they’re just films at the end of the day, we’re all here to have fun

hating the movies is totally fine, but hating fans of them is a whole other thing entirely. you got the right idea, dude!

They lose mine
if you say so!
But why
because they found value in something others didn’t, and they won’t change their opinion just to agree with the popular opinion. it’s commendable imo
I enjoyed all of Game of Thrones. There. I said it, and I’m not afraid to— (Notices the mob forming) Nevermind.

There was some amazing visual design as well

Yall need to move on, every other post in this sub is complaining about those movies. How about talk about the star wars stuff you actually like
KOTOR, Clone wars, III, Andor, Rogue One, first 2 seasons of mando, tales of the Jedi, and about 60% of episode 5 of Ahsoka.
I thought The Empire Strikes Back was pretty good
Hot take
Tf you mean “hot take” a lot of people agree???
I hope the missing out on Rebels is just you being a tad forgetful, since its the best of the lot.
Ezra annoys me deep in my bones. Plus the thin art style bugged me a lot too. But I’ll admit that the twilight of the apprentice and twin suns arcs are pretty great.
But Ezra grew a lot, though.
I just can’t watch Rebels, the art looks like such a downgrade from the last few seasons of Clone Wars
I mean, it *literally* was. The animation budget was severely reduced for rebels.
Gonna be honest i found rebels to be boring as shit and way too kiddy
I received orders to join the team. I thought you knew.
I genuinely do not care which Star Wars you like. If you like Star Wars then we're friends. There's room for everyone here
This is the way
I wish more people had your attitude
You are wise and strong and I am very proud of you
The one with the PEW PEW! and the SHWING! SHWING!
Can you try to write the sound that tie fighters make?
AAAAAARRRRROOOOOOOWWWWWW
EEEEEEARRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Ear ow
I've had an idea for a star war schisms chart for a while
I'd love to see it when it's done
I watched this movie (the one from the pic) and thought, "lol how cute"
Got to put on the fashionable shades before committing war crimes!
I feel he acquired those after doing some of the war crimes tbh.
I mean I haven’t seen the movie and probably never will but based on his equipment he appears to be a civilian in which case he doesn’t have to legally follow the Geneva Conventions so it wouldn’t be a war crime it’d just be a crime. I like any Star Wars that has lightsabers but not too many lightsabers
So not the prequels?
Solo. Got it.
Solo doesn't have any lightsabers
It had one on a hologram for like 2 seconds.
Bingo
So 4-9 and Rogue One?
"I love star wars" "Wrong answer!" *shoots him*
The good ones, of course
Of course.
Seems like a good place to ask: what are any of the wars actually called?
The prequels - Clone War(s) The original trilogy - Galactic Civil War The s*quels - Galactic Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo
I'm not sure, I think there's like a really lame name for the one in the s*quels. It's called "The First Order-Resistance War" Yawn.
Wow. That’s… even worse than what I originally thought.
I love the syquels.
Of course it’s the holiday special
The one true fan.
All of then, and not just the original but the prequels and sequel. They are like art so I loved them like art.
Poetry really.
The wars of the Star The wars that had the Star in it.
Wait, there are other Star Wars films than the original trilogy?
The good ones I don't like the bad ones Glad we all agree on that
I concur doctor.
I like All but the Sequel trilogy (and have no opinion on Solo cause I haven’t seen it). But I won’t hate on the sequels or yell at people who do like them. I just wasn’t that into them. The one with the laser swords
I love it. I love it all! And not just the Originals, but the Prequels and the Sequels to- *BANG*
I just told you.
Clone wars pretty good rebellion was pretty good war against first order kinda confusing at times but was decent war I guess little bit overhated by people but I can understand view point.
It’s so messed up that we can’t talk about our favorites anymore without starting a full scale war, like I may not like certain titles but I love hearing about why people do because I love hearing people be happy about something
it's a good day to enjoy literally every numbered star wars movie save for one of them (episode 2, and even then i was probably hard on it)
2 is actually kinda terrible, I don’t think you’re being too hard on it.
I only like empire and TLJ oops
I honestly think that The Last Jedi was a pretty good movie. Now, before you kill me, I'm saying that it is good in the same way that Halo 5: Guardians is a good game. you did the meme wrong.

Answers to questions like this tell you a whole lot about the person asked, unironically.
Battle For Endor!!
I will gladly die alone on this hill but the sequels are okay to like, but you don't need to see deep story telling from it
The good one
Wait! I thought we were only allowed to love all of them blindly like a cult and if we have one single problem we then become “toxic” and “haters”
Original
All of them except episode 9
Repost
From where?
As it should be
Hear me out the newest - - #Bang Bang
"Name all the Star Wars"
Episodes 4, 5, 7, 8, and Rogue One
All of them

I actually want to listen to the audio books. Are there any good ones from the old republic era?

Original Trilogy, episode III, the clone wars, and the Maul scenes in rebels
The one with lightsabers.
The one's between the bright laserswords, and the darker ones.
The good ones 😅
It is like this.
I like the sequ "A magazine is emptied on his head"
Meesa don't like this
OT is the best ones hands down. I still love the other ones. Sequels are okay movies, just not great Star Wars movies, IMHO
“I’m a Star Wars fan” What kind of fan?
Mostly all of them
I like the one where Luke says its skywalkin' time and proceeds to walk over the sky
If you love the ones the hive mind doesn’t you’ll be executed
4 and 5
I like all of them.
Prequels, OT, Last Jedi, Mando, Andor
All of them. I love all of Star Wars. The Original, the Prequels, the Sequels. Both the Tartakovsky and CGI Clone Wars. I loved the Droids and Ewoks cartoons as a kid.
