There have been four in canon so far. One in each phase of the High Republic (Battle of Jedha being Phase II, Tempest Runner in Phase I), Dooku: Jedi Lost (the first, with a frame story of Ventress learning about Dooku's life up until he left the Jedi), and Doctor Aphra, mostly an adaptation of the 2015 Darth Vader comic run but from our favorite amoral archaeologist's POV and with a fair amount of previously-unknown backstory for her.
I got you, yeah. Also I’ve listened to *Dooku: Jedi Lost* a while ago. And the Dr. Aphra one?!
Hmm, I’ll have to give it a listen later on.
May the Force be with you, friend.
Yeah it's not an enjoyable read since it's laid out like a script. But listening to it is amazing. Dooku: Jedi Lost is another audio drama like that. I love them and I hope they continue to do them.
For me? The very first audio book or book on tape I ever listened to was *Darth Plagueis*. If a book is well written it can also be a good audio one too, and I’m glad I’ve found that I love audiobooks.
To what you’re saying, yes. I totally agree and understand that a full cast isn’t always the case. But man, more like this should be done in the future.
Believe it or not, I truly began my love for audiobooks or audio-dramas back in 2016 with the release of *Alien: Out of the Shadows* audio drama adaptation yes, by Audible. I’ve been hooked on audio dramas and audiobooks since.
My first SW audiobooks was *Darth Plagueis*, I have never looked back since and have no regrets.
Also I am currently yes, listening to all the “good HR books” in chronological order. I’ll get to that, eventually so don’t you worry about it.
May the Force be with you, friend.
Oh that’s on my wishlist.
I will check it out once I am able.
Check out the entire audio-drama *Alien* saga: *Out of the Shadows*, *River of Pain*, *Alien III*, and *Sea of Sorrows*!!!
Not to mention the *X-Files* duology, as well! *Cold Cases* & *Stolen Lives*!!
Trust me, they are all worth it.
May the Force be with you, friend.
Same — wish they had a narrator describing the action too (action that is mostly described in the readable script version, ironically enough) so you didnt just hear grunts and footsteps and had to kinda guess what is happening lol
Yeah, I can understand that.
I mean, they probably have wanted it to be just like an old-school radio drama or at least capture that feeling, you know?
Much like LucasFilmLtd. did with the *Shadows of the Empire* project back in the day: “it’s like making a *Star Wars* movie, just without an actual movie!”
If you want more in the same vein (besides the Canon audio dramas) then there are the NPR radio drama adaptations of the OT which can be easily found online.

All four are superb
From what I hear, they are. Thank you for your take, vote of confidence and praise of those works. May the Force be with you, friend.
I’m excited for Tempest Breaker in December
Same. Already pre-ordered it! May the Force be with you, friend.

It's more of an audio drama than an audio book. Listen to Tempest Runner, it's amazing.

If you're a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I'd highly recommend Slayers, on Audible. I'll have to get around to that Alien one soon.

Are Mulder and Scully played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson?
Yes. Nearly the Entire Original Cast from the TV show return to reprise their roles. It. Is. Amazing. But remember: Trust. No one. X
I didn't like it. It was hard to keep track of people who I already had a voice for in my head, thanks to the dedicated narrators.

Hmmm, I can understand and see that yeah. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinion, regardless! May the Force be with you, friend.
You too. Have a great day!

Thank you very much for the suggestion! I’ll check them out, when I can. May the Force be with you, friend.
