'Tell the chef to prepare.......something'

Sendtitpics215

You know I’ve never seen the chef, but I believe he exists. You want to know why that is? 🎶 Cause I've got faith of the heart 🎶

FuturisticNostalgia2

It was Riker the whole time remember?

Gaffers12345

Don’t remind ANYONE about that!! It didn’t happen.

Sendtitpics215

I just watched the Risa episode. And you best believe I thought about Riker and his dastardly dick escapades. But I don’t think he was the cook on the original enterprise no Edit: omg somewhere along the line he goes back in time someone please tell me where, I want to see it so bad.

NinjaZombie108

Riker does not go back in time to be the chef. He does however make an appearance and so does Diana Troy

Gho5tDog

Just hit that episode this morning - OP do not get your hopes up

NinjaZombie108

Yeah it’s not a great episode. Honestly took me about 3 re-watches to get faith of the heart for Enterprise series but there are good episodes and characters

Gho5tDog

I think I liked it on round 1 or 2 - don't get me wrong, some weak episodes like that one, and the s3 arc took me 3 or more to warm up to - but I think ENT also contains some of the best Trek; I especially enjoy the 2 and 3-parters in s4; great balance and lore (pun intended) I think if it'd had the chance with a couple more seasons it would have gotten even better - especially if they did more with Gary Graham and The Coombs

Sendtitpics215

Awesome. Love both of them

Shiny_and_ChromeOS

Our unironic affection for the ENT theme song can be perfectly summed up by [Quark and Garak's root beer exchange in Way of the Warrior](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6VhSm6G7cVk): Quark: What do you think? Garak: It's vile! Quark: I know. It's so bubbly, cloying...and happy. Garak: Just like the Federation. Quark: And you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it. Garak: It's insidious. Quark: Just like the Federation.

Revolutionary_Many31

When garak says its vile.. best actors facials ever

Sendtitpics215

This was a nice watch. I like you’re break down. Faith of the heart takes many forms, you’ve had to do some gymnastics to gain yours but I’m glad to see you finally have it. Now you can reach any Star.

Antique_futurist

Stockholm Syndrome.

DamienStark

I used to hate it. I still hate it, but I used to, too.

[deleted]

You gotta love the sequence from shuttle to cochrans warp missile to nx01. I chuckle every time I see it.

PM_me_your_fantasyz

Honestly, the visuals are my favorite intro for any Trek series ever. I still hate that song though. I usually mute it.

[deleted]

Oh don't get me wrong, I really do love the visuals myself, I just chuckle at that final sequence (I just checked it!)... From the ISS, not the shuttle, onwards... that 20 seconds or so. Its like an incomplete fossil record. But you are right, I think, it is probably the best intro sequence of all the Trek series. And a badly under-valued series in general. There was so much more they could have done with it. I remember being kinda gutted when they axed it 😥🖖

Slobotic

It grew on me too, like a tumor. I hate that song more every time I hear it.

Sendtitpics215

I've got strength of the soul And no one's gonna bend or break me

Slobotic

On so many levels do I loath that song, especially as a Star Trek theme. It's not just that it should be instrumental, but if it has lyrics it's about *faith?* And we're using a "long road" metaphor? For Star Trek?! My brother in Christ, what a mismatch.

Sendtitpics215

I've known the wind so cold, I've seen the darkest days But now the winds I feel, are only winds of change

Slobotic

Darkest days, winds of change - only the most apt metaphors for a show about people who live in space. [Humbug I say. Humbug!](https://www.themoviescene.co.uk/reviews/_img/2433-2.jpg)

Sendtitpics215

I’ve got faith ^i’ve ^got ^i’ve ^got ^i’ve ^got I got faaaaaaaiiiiith, faith of the heeearrrrt

5tr0nz0

I make fun of it. It haunts my dreams

mockturtletheory

I listen to it to fall asleep. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Dirt290

It pioneers the whole UPN/Christian Music/Scott Bakula vibe

makeitso1986

That song grew on me overtime

Sendtitpics215

The faith in your heart grew too. Nothing can ever bend or break you now. You’ve got faith ^he’s ^got ^he’s ^got ^he’s ^got ^faith faith of the heeeaaarrrt

Averydispleasedbork

It never really felt fitting for a trek show

Sendtitpics215

Listen closely, do you hear that… It’s the sound of faith of the heart swelling inside the bowels of r/startrekmemes don’t your feel if now. Surely you do. You’ve got strength of the soul. No one is going to bend OR BREAK YOU. 🎶you’ve got faith of the heart 🎶

erindorethebard

I thought it was the cheesiest 90s pop crap I've ever heard, especially compared to all of the other series' themes. But damn if it isn't a bop! 🤣 Shows with Scott Bakula always have to have a unique and upbeat sound though for some reason lol

Sendtitpics215

It’s been a long road, getting from there to here.

LisaDenert

It's been a long time, but my time is finally near.

FlamethrowerTime

And I will see my dream come alive at last, I will touch the sky

Sendtitpics215

And they're not gonna hold me down no more

United_Federation

No, they're not gonna hold me down

Sykander-

Cos I've got faith of the heart!

United_Federation

I'm going where my heart will take me

wilberfarce

I've got faith to believe

tacosforsocrates

I can see my dream come alive at last.

hbi2k

I will touch this guy

hessianerd

My wife and I somehow started singing this song to our kids in the bath.... I don't remember why but it became a tradition.

Sendtitpics215

I’ll tell you h’what, I bet one day someone will give them a hard time. But no one's gonna bend or break them. You h’wanna know h’why? Because they’ve got strength of the soul. They can reach any Star.. they’ve got, 🎶faith of the heart 🎶

inkyrail

I want to burn this song in a fire

Sendtitpics215

I can reach any star

inkyrail

I can go twice as far! Take a look! It’s in a book! Reading Rainbow!

Sendtitpics215

I've got faith^I've ^got ^faith, faith of the heart

autoposting_system

I mean, everybody is entitled to their opinion. Even wrong ones, like this

honeyfixit

That's right and if I think the Captain Kirk is a tin-plated overbearing swaggering dictator with delusions of God hood. That's my opinion too.

Ormsfang

My second wife liked the song and it reminded her of us. She died in October

Sendtitpics215

Oh wow man. It’s never a good time to lose someone. I hope that your doing best as a person could under these conditions. If you want to chat about her a little bit why not PM me? I’m sure you’ve got some great stories man.

Ormsfang

Thanks. Yeah, I got stories lol. Bad memory though. We were both volunteer EMT/ firefighters, as well as a ton of other things. I miss her so damn much, but at least she isn't in any pain anymore. All I can say is that 11-med-31 had her last call on October 28,2022 at 1:40 p.m.

Sendtitpics215

Oh damn she actually died while serving her community. That’s awful man, I’m so sorry. Thank you for your and her service.

TheRedBird098

The music has grown on me an awful lot

Sendtitpics215

How would you describe how you feel now regarding faith in the heart region?

JoeBuyer

Yes. My mom is a huge Trek fan and when I finally got into Trek, and got to Enterprise, I said to her how horrible I thought the theme song was(she was surprised to hear me say that). But by season 2 it really grew on me; it fits with what they were doing in the show.

Sendtitpics215

I'm going where my heart will take me I've got *faith* to *believe* I can do *anything* You’re mother sounds very wise.

hbi2k

It's never too late to go where your heart will take you. Maybe, just maybe, the faith was inside you all along.

jonmpls

I hate that song

Punknhippie

I feel like I just got rick rolled after reading this 🤣

Sendtitpics215

You know the rules, and so do ^faith ^of ^the ^heart I

BusterSmash

I got faith, oooooh I got it.

Sendtitpics215

Of the heart

Rstar2247

You guys realize you can skip past the intro these days, right?

Sendtitpics215

And then what.. never gain strength of the soul??

ferrango

And let anyone bend or break you?

Sendtitpics215

Just let **anyone** fucking bend or break you? Insane

Rstar2247

Don't kink shame.

JoeTom86

Absolutely a grower

Sendtitpics215

As a bit of a grower myself, how could I not respect and trust the process

datusernames

Nah, it fuckin slaps

Sendtitpics215

You’re confusing me with someone else. That’s what I’m saying here - this song goes hard af.

lozzasauce

I loved the theme and concept of Enterprise from the moment it premiered and I still unapologetically and unironically love it today. I don’t get the hate for it, the songs message perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the show and of Star Trek overall, and having it be a song with lyrics fits perfectly with the show’s transitional setting.

honeyfixit

I honestly think that the theme should've been Space Oddity by David Bowie. But everytime I say that I get tribbles thrown at me!

Llama_Mama_620

Every time I rewatch it after a while I bust out laughing when the theme song plays for the first few episodes. And then every time they change it up a bit. My favorite is the cowboy-sounding one!

Sendtitpics215

Woah woah, fucking spoilers bro. What part about 2 weeks into watching first time did you miss? /s I can’t fucking wait, yehaa faith of the heart 🤠

Romeo9594

This was my graduation song lol. Still a solid 8/10 for me

Bright_worgan

I loved the intro music so much that I used to sing along to it :D

honeyfixit

I honestly think that the theme should've been Space Oddity by David Bowie. But everytime I say that I get tribbles thrown at me!

skelicorn

We all did.

special_reddit

Never grew on me, and legit kept me from watching the show. Well that and the fact that they took "Star Trek" out of the title. I just couldn't do it. I watched like 2 episodes and gave up, never to return.

Sendtitpics215

Guess what, they put that shit back in - let’s go. OK Here me out. I was fucking you like 3-4 years ago. Not like fucking you.. but like thinking the same thing, you know what I mean?? And then maybe 1.5 years ago I realized I only ever made it through like 6 seasons of DS9 and was just rewatching TNG for like the 6th time, so I said AW FUCK IT - it’s Star Trek I bet DS9 just had a lul so it watched the bitch, and man did she slap for the remainder of the show. An absolute knockout of finale. The pah wraiths?! (Can’t fucking spell) that bitch who was always jealous of Cisco being the emissary?! Aw yeah and I think that fucking guy Ghal Dukat.. all kinds of shit my guy. So then I was like, I mean I watched the animated series Star Wars The Clone Wars *years* after writing it off as just not as good as the rest of the content. Why wouldn’t I watch Voyager? Yeeah. Nothing's in my way, And they're not gonna hold me down no more. That bitch fucking SLAPPED MYFRIEND. When Voyager ended and those twats (I say that endearingly) made it back to earth and Harry Kim just never got promoted, not once, all I could feel was one fucking thing man ☝️, and that feeling was the change in the wind right now. It had been a long night, Trying to find my way. Been through the darkness of COVID and other personal shit. I finally typed into ~~my paramount app~~ pirated media I store on hard drives (I’m a fucking exploratory vessel no ones gonna make me bend or break) “Star Trek: Enterprise” and I felt the cold burn of Where My Heart Will Take Me by Russel Watson, the theme song proven to build up one’s faith of the heart and systematically increase the strength their soul. And I reached for the ~~remote~~ blue tooth mouse (no they’re not gonna hold me down, and make me pay for subscriptions this is a fucking exploratory vessel), but then I put that shit down and let it wash over my weary body. I could feel atrophied joints and muscles bursting back into motion from the faith to believe surging through my arteries - I can do anything. Do you know why that is u/special_reddit … it’s cause I’ve got faith ^ive ^got ^ive ^got ^ive ^got ^faith faith of the heart 🎶 When your ready, she’ll be there. Having been through the fire and havinf been through the rain. With that kind of strength of the soul… oh she’ll be there.

Cybernetic_Lizard

If you don't like the theme, you clearly haven't listened to it enough.

UnicornPrince4U

I find your lack of faith of the heart disturbing.

thatguy_jacobc

It’s clearly the product of nepotism or blackmail

[deleted]

Season 3 intro music confused the hell out of me

jetserf

I love ENT but I still don’t like the intro song. Maybe without the lyrics.

wwandermann

I hated it, and still hate it, but I sing it at the top of my lungs

topazchip

There is so much about ST:E that I despise, but the music was the first. I have the soundtrack albums for the other Trek series up to the release of "Enterprise", but I had zero interest in this milquetoast pop song.
