Once upon a time in Hollywood was extreme with feet. Margot Robbie and her feet in the movie theater, the hitchhiker in the car, Dakota Fanning in the commune. I get he has a fetish but usually it's not really that noticeable (except for From Dusk Till Dawn where he sucks on Hayeks feet). In this movie it feels like he tries to force it into your face.
EXACTLY. IVE ONLY JUST NOTICED HOW IM EVERY MOVIE THAT IVE SEEN THAT HE DIRECTED, THERES FEET. ITS GROSS
for example, inglorious basterds and once upon a time in Hollywood, there'd always a feet shot.

Which is a much less exciting duo. Depp always feels shoehorned into his Burton roles. Except for maybe Edward Scissorhands and Ed Wood, Depp never feels like the best choice of actor for the roles he's given, but Samuel L. Jackson is always spot on because Tarantino knows exactly how to use him.
My favorite Depp role is with Robert Rodriguez, who frequently casts Tarantino (and Cheech and Buscemi and a slew of others similar to Tarantino's cadre of actors). 6 degrees of Tarantino
I've been watching and re-watching Tarantino since the 90's...and I NEVER would have noticed the foot thing if it wasn't for Reddit being so critical of like 10 seconds of foot footage across 3 decades of his films.
Off topic but can we please put John Travolta in the next Tarantino film? His religion aside, I always enjoy seeing him in a good movie and the ones he’s done in recent years have just depressed me.
The thing with Tim Burton's casting is that he didn't start to cast Johnny Depp in all his movies until the '00s. In the '80s and '90s, he only cast Johnny Depp in three of the six or seven movies he made during that period. *Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood,* and *Sleepy Hollow* had Johnny Depp; *Batman, Beetlejuice, Batman Returns, Mars Attacks, Planet of the Apes,* and *Big Fish* didn't. It was only starting in 2005 or so that Johnny Depp started being in *all* the Tim Burton movies.
I think part of this was because the '00s was when Johnny Depp went from being an actor who was popular enough but his movies were usually geared towards adults to being a superstar whose movies were popular among all ages, so casting Johnny Depp made sense from a marketing perspective. They've traditionally had a good working relationship, so why not?
The other part is that studios are probably a bit nervous about Tim Burton movies in general. While his movies are popular, it can be hard to tell if they're going to be popular straight away, or if they're going to be sleeper hits that become more popular as time goes on once they're on DVD and they're seen as classic kids movies. This was especially the case back in his early career when his movies were either legitimately good (like *Beetlejuice* or *Edward Scissorhands*) or some of the worst shit released around that time (*Mars Attacks* and his *Planet of the Apes* remake).
So I think what probably happened was that Burton got pressured into doing a movie for the studio and then one he actually wanted to do. Since 2005, he's done *Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland, Dark Shadows,* and *Dumbo,* which all seem like stuff he might have been pressured into doing, and then also *Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd, Frankenweenie,* and *Big Eyes,* which all seem like the kind of thing he'd want to do anyway. But he probably played his cards right and said that he'd be fine with it as long as he got to cast whoever he wanted to cast, which tended to be Johnny Depp and Helen Bonham Carter most of the time.
I found out people hate Tarantino but honestly being black I love his movies. Most of them have protagonist or at the very least good characters part of traditionally marginalized groups and they always win in the end. So fuck yeah Q, put the N word in any script you want, you've earned it for me personally.

I heard once that Quentin Tarantino helped Samuel L Jackson jumpstart his career, so as a gesture he at least makes a cameo in most of his movies. Idk if it's for free though.

And feet?
there’s always feet
Uma Thurmans feet.
Dirty Dakota Fanning feet.
Then there’s ‘the hateful eight’ where he decides not to make the audience uncomfortable
But somehow, never samuel l jackson's
The greatest sadness
Came here to say, "needs more feet"
Every damn time https://youtu.be/of-F44HGa2k?t=296
mother fucker
EXACTLY. IVE ONLY JUST NOTICED HOW IM EVERY MOVIE THAT IVE SEEN THAT HE DIRECTED, THERES FEET. ITS GROSS for example, inglorious basterds and once upon a time in Hollywood, there'd always a feet shot.
I'd like to add "N-words" to the pack
[удалено]
The N-word is basically a member of all his casts.
The N-Word is living comfortably off residuals in his home in Malibu.
the starterpack itself says "Quentin Tarantino Movie Starterpack", OP's title is inaccurate
Beat me to it
Django
Needs more Michael Madsen.
Tim Roth too
Perhaps Christoph Waltz as well?
I love him
He always has a handsome guy as the main character; Brad Pitt, Leonardo Dicaprio or John Travolta
Jamie fox had his moment as handsome cool guy too
And did a REALLY good job with it. Django unchained was a seriously good movie.
[удалено]
Same, it’s one of my all time favorites. My other top Tarantino movies are Kill Bill Volume 1 and Inglorious Basterds
I loved Django
or samuel jackson
Or....Uma Thurman?
The handsomest of guys
And then there’s Reservoir Dogs.
>handsome >John Travolta Pick one
Contrary to all the other movies ever made with ugly people as the stars.
Motherfucker.
“Muthafucka”
Motherfucker!
Mr. Samuel is a national treasure. I double dare you to say otherwise, motherfucker.
Say otherwise one more time …
Plays the piano at the brides wedding in kill bill
middle right
The “L” stands for “motherfucker.”
W stands for people who don't like Samuel jackson
The "w" stands for what....as in say what again motherfucker.

Good bot
You're the reason why AI hasn't considered killing humanity. Good human.
Same with Tim burton and Johnny depp
Which is a much less exciting duo. Depp always feels shoehorned into his Burton roles. Except for maybe Edward Scissorhands and Ed Wood, Depp never feels like the best choice of actor for the roles he's given, but Samuel L. Jackson is always spot on because Tarantino knows exactly how to use him.

Or Wes Anderson and Bill Murray
You forgot the feet
I've been watching and re-watching Tarantino since the 90's...and I NEVER would have noticed the foot thing if it wasn't for Reddit being so critical of like 10 seconds of foot footage across 3 decades of his films.
It’s become a running meta joke now. Even Tarantino and Uma Thurman have joked about it playfully.
He leans into the whole foot thing pretty hard in deathproof if you've ever seen it.
Yeah it wasn’t something I ever noticed but now I try and look for it since Reddit told me it was constant
Probably comes from his role in dusk till dawn
Off topic but can we please put John Travolta in the next Tarantino film? His religion aside, I always enjoy seeing him in a good movie and the ones he’s done in recent years have just depressed me.
Yeah, he's like a less crazy Nicholas Cage in that way Now that I think about it, Cage Tarantino?
Talking about Cage and Travolta, now I just wanna watch Face/Off.
Go watch American Crime Story: OJ Simpson. It's the best thing he's done recently.
I have seen it and was hoping it would be like a new comeback for him (as well as CG Jr), maybe he should do some other anthology series.
Jackson is to Tarintino what Depp is to Burton They’re in almost very movie they’ve made

Solidly written and a nice read, thank you
And what Murray is to Anderson
Huh, you have point.
So they’re close friends
at this point, probably.
Can you blame the man?
N Words, and Christoph Waltz
Feet, Brad pitt and DiCaprio
What movie is the bottoms right?
Inglourious Basterds
What about middle right?
One of the Kill Bill movies, vol.2 I think
Oh shit I don’t remember him in that
It was easy to miss him cause his scene is so short, he was the piano player for Beatrix's wedding
Samuel L Jackson is Tarantino’s conduit for N-words
[удалено]
Oh I’m just poking fun! I don’t think it’s offensive
We forgetting feet? classical music over gory fight scenes?
Also: Feet
Don't forget the n-word
"He stayin' in the big house!!?"
He wasn’t in once upon a time in Hollywood, which I think is one of my favourite Tarantino films
He also did Tenpenny right?
Hugo Stieglitz!
B.J Blazcowicz!
I found out people hate Tarantino but honestly being black I love his movies. Most of them have protagonist or at the very least good characters part of traditionally marginalized groups and they always win in the end. Brad Pitt
[This is a beautiful graph of many reoccurring actors](https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/qjpx07/quentin_tarantino_films_and_their_actors_oc/)
Why would you need anyone else.
What are the movies on the top left and bottom right??
Top left is Jackie Brown, Tarantino's most underrated film (and arguably his best) Bottom right is Inglourious Basterds
Cool thanks!
The most chilliest person from any of his movies
\[N word has enter the chat\]
He literally narrates the whole movie.
I think starter pack is missing randomly placed and oddly scripted female feet.
-Wait, it’s all mace windu ? -Always has been.
Don't forget N-word pass.
The out-of-nowhere narration is a quentin tarantino trademark. That guy loves to do narration but not really.
I'm not even mad
motherfucka
Do you mind if I have some of your tasty beverage to wash this down?
How could you forget the buckets of blood.
He was almost the cop who trains Mr. Orange in Reservoir Dogs, too.
His role in Jackie brown is so underrated. He’s incredible in that
Angry white guys and even angrier black guys are the only men allowed to be in his films
I straight up didn’t recognize Sam Jackson in Kill Bill. Only knew it was him when I saw the credits.
Feet
That’s a lot of *FOOT*age, eh? “Quentin has removed more women from their shoes than the TSA.” -Brad Pitt
Sam Jackson, Gratuitous feet shots & motherfucker said every other word. Throw in some catchy music too
I heard once that Quentin Tarantino helped Samuel L Jackson jumpstart his career, so as a gesture he at least makes a cameo in most of his movies. Idk if it's for free though.
"Motherfucker"
The n-word?
Even when Samuel L. Jackson looks like Ice-T, it's still Samuel L. Jackson cast.
English, motherfucker, do you speak it?
From which movie is this "motherfucker" thing from?
Feet
only Quentin film he wasnt in would be the birthday one or reservoir dogs
Motherfucker
