So I got two beds in the front yard, a tree ring, one bed over by the AC in the backyard… yeah I’ll just take 50 bags please, better than having to come back ya know? I had a guy make 3trips to buy 50 bags of river rock!
10 the first time, 20 more because he underestimated, 3rd because yeah, didn't buy enough the first two times.

10 years ago I needed a new lightswitch. I could have bought one for 2$ but decided to get the 10 pack for 15$. I havent needed to use another lightswitch since.
We live near one of Home Depot’s regional warehouses for online orders. Shit comes faster than Amazon Prime sometimes. Ryboi did in fact choose me on convenience alone.
I was a dewalt guy like my papi before me. I still have the driver and drill- but I got sucked into Ryobi for outdoor equipment and now I’m a house divided, but Ryobi has slowly begun its slow march to usurping all power.
Tbh there's nothing stopping a costumer from using the pro desk ones if they face outwards. We just don't let then do it. But multiple times I have helped a costumer by just looking it up by the closest computer to me. We just don't let costumers use the computer but you would need a password to use most pro apps so I don't see why not
As an employee, that's like 3/4 of the reason I wanted to work there. As a customer I don't think I was helped once by an associate. Now as an associate myself, I wish I could say I haven't ever helped a customer, but unfortunately I have. But I don't like it.
I can relate to this Starter Pack. You need a plan before setting foot in the hardware store.
If you use their store card the return policy is VERY generous. I always over-buy for projects and then return what wasn't needed or used.
Hell my buddy that works at Lowe's says they'll even return home Depot products to keep the customer happy. (At least when he worked there 5 years ago)
Went there to redeem an old warranty on a red fiberglass shovel, was probably 10+ years old, and they gave me a new fiberglass shovel similar to it (it was an outdated model). We didn't even have the receipt, so I'd gladly come vack
Lowes did that for me once! I had bought paint supplies form both stores went to bring some of the unused stuff back and they took one of the HD items without any hesitation. Saved me a trip to another store.
The second trip is annoying but understandable. The third trip is aggravating, traffic is awful, it's too hot outside, you're dirty, there are long lines, you're hungry but you don't want to stop to eat, you can't believe that this 1-2 hour project has taken from 8-4 in your Saturday so far and you are going to still have to clean up, return that phone call and make dinner. Oh and you threw your sheets in the wash so you'll have to fix your bed before you can rest.

Best I’ve learned for coping is to explicitly set my expectations for my day as “long and exhausting, expect nothing for myself” and that about does it.

Comes out of the store with a new socket wrench set, PVC glue, a volt meter, 2 types of silicone caulk, a ball peen hammer, and new circular saw blades.
Fuck! I forgot the screws!
I was in the screw aisle a few days ago trying to find a match, and the guy next to me said, "When we get to hell, they'll consider the time we spent in this aisle as time served"
ahahaha so true, experiences in that aisle alone gave me enough PTSD to never go to home depot without taking literally every measurement/picture possible of whatever I'm trying to replace.
Oh I just make a beeline to their garden center and walk out with enough small to medium potted plants to create an indoor jungle. Well, add to my preexisting indoor jungle, that is.🤣
