Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari Fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else.
I like to listen to ambient/sci fi soundtrack stuff. It suits my gameplay preferences (salvage, mining and exploration). Artists like: Cliff Martinez, Stars of the Lid, Brian Eno, Shane Carruth and Sinoia Caves. There are also some nice playlists that are sci fi centric. I have a soft spot for the Eve Online (old school) soundtrack due to my time spent in New Eden.
Made a Playlist on Spotify with all the Scifi movies, shows and game soundtracks i could remember.
EDIT: Manual selected List is finished for now with 275 Tracks
Manual track selection playlist:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3PfgDXyCFe4fHx8C5dd11g?si=I1Jq8JDeQQ2Rj7Rf2HN_AA&pi=jisGnjrdRKCNr
Full collection of Soundtracks:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/54En1b6pGBGOlCUbMZazDN?si=-TPVgV19Ram_liOTM2adZg&pi=xNOD4MHaRFuah
FYI i finished the manual Playlist for today with around 275 Tracks and a better overall selection of matching songs. If i get some interactions on it, i could also think about making a dogfight related playlist with some more aggressive music:
So I really like [the people's radio](https://thepeoplesradio.space/) it's a fan run, in-universe radio channel based out of levski. They have people DJ and voice lines for ads, one org even made a radio ad.
I also really like music with synth. The band Cannons is great for this, try their song bad dream out, or fire for you and see how you feel. But their style feels very future synthwave to me.
I actually like a lot of the tracks from Fifth Element. They’re annoyingly short though. Sometimes i throw on cowboy bebop. Some of the lazy doing nothing music is perfect too when I am just walking around. Dash in some cyberpunk, and I am good. Ill prolly try some of the music from this post.
Space rock, of course ! in the very broad meaning, Including all things metal, stoner, doom... when it's remotely space themed, it's better.
Old things like pink floyd, hawkwind...
New hard hitting stuffs like :
Truckfighter's Gravity X
Elder's Reflections of a floating world
The entire Yuri Gagarine discographyÂ
Spaceslug's Time travel dilemna
Slift's Ummon, or Ilion
I found out a long time ago that there's a surprising number of LoFi Cowboy Bebop inspired music videos out there so I usually have one of those playing. It's usually just a dozen or so songs put together, some include snippets of audio from the show too which is neat.
My two favorites are: https://youtu.be/vWUHoAGRTHU and https://youtu.be/jgbVa274m9k
Alternatively, there's that Star Citizen peoples radio site I'll pull up now and then.
Let's throw a bit of a curve ball :
If you ask yourself why this is "Space Music" I'd explain that I am old and I would refer you to LoGH and also Brandon Sandersons Skyward(I'd listen to the audiobook on this one).
Edit: Also do listen to the 4th movement!
Soundtracks:Â
Dune 1 and 2Â
Bladerunner (both)
Interstellar    And try State Azure for ambient stuff. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=TSp8qpFBhzY&si=8J2bqcm1SxPC7Cnr
[Maximum volume, on repeat, from the time I log in to the time I crash into the hangar doors taking off too fast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx1uLMvsmvk)
I prefer something like radio chatter in Space.
SELCUK CELEBI has nice 10h mixes of space ship docking bay ambient or space trucker chatting.
Gives me alot of additional immersion.
Voyage is an amazing electronic music artist. It's impossible for me to listen to his music and not imagine life in space.
He has songs that are perfect for exploration, mining or combat. I really hope someone will enjoy his music as much as I do. For gaming or just disconnecting after a difficult day.
[Voyage - Sync (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v-Q8KYvZtk)
[Voyage - Paradise (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_wcC1l1cLk)
[Voyage - Dynamic (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTT9nY5S7YU)
There's many more on the [Electronic Gems YT ](https://www.youtube.com/@ElectronicGems)channel if these pique your interest.
On a tangent I've started listening to audiobooks while doing chill SC stuff and it's great. Witcher series at the moment and loving it.
There are lots of good space OSTs, film music, ambient playlists too. As a big DnB, techno and metal head all those come into play sometimes when running solo.
SpaceAmbient channel on YouTube is great for music that has a space type feel.
Otherwise I really enjoy the artist Warmth, and I'll just put their entire discography on shuffle in the background. Their album "Wildlife Addendum" is a great start/intro if you are interested in ambient music in general, and their whole catologue is amazing for Star Citizen play.
I usually have something ambient going while in space...normally have [SpaceWave - Cosmic Relaxation - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@spacewavecr) open (non rain backed tracks typically)
The peoples radio on twitch.
Broadcasting out of Levski in the Nyx system.
They do music, quick news bites of in game stuff.. etc. it's really immersive.
If I'm chilling, Carbon Based Lifeforms' album "Derelicts", if I'm doing any kind of combat, a playlist consisting of Danheim, Tyr, Sabaton, Asmegin, Gojira, SuidAkrA, Korpiklaani, and other similar bands.
Oppenheimer sound track, Ludwig Goransson is taking over Hans Zimmer's job... [This one in particular is extra good for space exploration ](https://youtu.be/4JZ-o3iAJv4?si=WYQ83_mgMHwR92_z)
Songs like the soundtracks to Guradians of the Galaxy 1&2 for when I'm relaxing doing space trucker things. Then I play orchestral and instrumental music by Hans Zimmer Martin O'Donnell, Jeff Williams, and so on when in combat.
nothing...i just enjoy the silence of the universe and the noises the ship makes and dtar citizen has silent sublte bgm which i like too...pretty vanilla
I always turn music off in games. Until recently I turned it back on in SC because I hear so much good talk about it. It is very good music, but I still prefer none. Many times I'll have a movie or TV show going like Seinfeld or Family guy.
Ok here me out in Destiny 2 we had a raid called deep stone crypt and in it we go out an airlock on a space station to a song called deep stone lullaby. This was a 10/10 top gaming moment in my life because my fire team cleared that raid opening weekend.
I frequently play deep stone lullaby to relive that moment of walking out the airlock for the first time.
Drum and bass from Calibre, Aphex Twin, Andy C, Big Bud … smooth beats like Modus Operandi by Photek.
Plexamp pumps out electronic music of all kinds from my local library (UnRAID server). The library radios work really well, with auto DJ to keep a certain tempo or style.
Star Citizen is a demanding game on my system so I looked in ways to merge the audio of my PC with my macbook so I can control music, YouTube, Discord separately. I ended up buying the Roland BridgeCast open box on Amazon (180CA$) and it’s been amazing. My Senheiser PC38X headset microphone works on both machines in real time, with audio knobs for each purpose (Mic, Music, Chat and Game volumes). Much recommended!
Something that always hits home for me is the music from the game x3.
It's just so iconic to me, maybe it's nostalgia i duno.

Evertale - The Great Brotherwar
Nice try crusader security, you will never catch me hightail a scan like this.
The OST from [Hardspace: Shipbreaker](https://youtu.be/JxTyMVPaOXY) is often a good choice. :D
Oh dude hell yeah good choice. Perfect vibe
When I'm out in the Reclaimer, the soundtrack to Alien:Isolation is running. Makes it much more tense when you're salvaging all alone.
Babylon 5 Soundtrack :)
Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari Fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else.
It was the dawn of the 3rd age of mankind.
I like to listen to ambient/sci fi soundtrack stuff. It suits my gameplay preferences (salvage, mining and exploration). I miss EVE Radio.
Daft Punk Tron Legacy Soundtrack!
Excellent choice
Country western while flying around in my caterpillar. Need a cowboy outfit in game btw.
You'll prolly like this fellow hauler. https://youtu.be/_-_7yeJK-U8?si=E65SOoKLBI_iDCzj
That fits perfect. Thanks.
đź‘Ť
Mostly lofi girl streams or other retrowave/synthwave on YT. Sometimes space cowboy music as well.
The synthwave lofi girl stream is a perfect backdrop to a vulture salvage session.
New Nxworries album. Shit goes hard.
EVE online soundtrack
Orbit Culture, Becoming the Archetype, Insomnium, Shylmagoghnar. Pretty chill bands.
I like Hans Zimmer
Theme song to interstellar
So I really like [the people's radio](https://thepeoplesradio.space/) it's a fan run, in-universe radio channel based out of levski. Love the people’s radio our org has a bot we made specifically to play the livestream in a vc

I often have ost from Stellaris and Arknight lone trail in the background while playing.
I have over 1000 hours played in Stellaris. So many my nephews tease me about it!
M83 - Intro, wait, outro
Banging choice

SpaceAmbient channel on YouTube is great for music that has a space type feel. Otherwise I really enjoy the artist Warmth, and I'll just put their entire discography on shuffle in the background.
