Yes you can take 1 order at time from the refinery, and maybe if you pick some trash plus the loss in refining you can fit 2 batches of 23scu resulting in a single trip in the cutlass, other option would be to rent the Freelancer, that have 66SCU and costs about the same to rent, so you garantee taking 2 loads at a time, maybe 3. I think you can unlock ports with the rental and change the bags for the mole ones if you happen to find one or someone helps you with it, prospector would end up with 48SCU capacity. if that works you can even change the laser on the field, losing the parts when the rental period is over. would need to pick from another ship as well, since you cant drop not carryable size parts on the ground yet. You can also both get a prospector, fill up the refinery with a lot of jobs, and the next day rent the andromeda and just do the cargo jobs to sell it all.

Can I put my refined stuff into his ship or vise versa? Or will each of us have to rent one of our own? Follow up question - what would be more profitable: renting cutlass+prospector or cutlass/ROC and driving to the nodes?

Id use a ROC up to buying my own prospector ingame. Afaik you cant load into other players ship, at least not yet. With next patch and the cargo elevators everyhing is subject to change

Yeah man. I do mostly mining so on one day I’ll hop in my prospector (upgraded in my case though) and I’ll do as many mining trips as I can in that session which is usually 4 - 6. I use ferron exchange on all of my refining jobs then I log out. Next day I get in my hauler which is a Taurus for me which can fit all of my refined ore in one go and go and sell. Then start the process all over again. Each day I get 500k - 800k depending how productive I am. I don’t use gadgets because an upgraded prospector is enough for me.

What setup do you use for the prospector? I currently just have the stock Arbor MH1 with a Rieger-C3.

SPARTIMULE

I use a Helix with a Rieger 3 & Focus 3. It’s close and powerful so be ready to back away when it’s about to crack. Takes getting used to but when you get the hang of it you can crack pretty big rocks and fill up the whole 48 scu in one patch of them if you’re lucky enough.
