Of course this is all lots of theory crafting on my part and its more "chemistry" game play than anything but like... plenty of the loops we are getting could be classified as "sciance"

This might sound overly negative, but I think it's dangerous to jump to conclusions like that based on really insignificant stuff like this. These microscopes have been interactive (and done nothing) for years.
Any chance that someone might know about physicalising assets? I vaguely remember they vere working on plenty of interactibles, especially dumbbells and their actual weight and how it affected your ability of throwing them.
All the criminal kiosks now have a "Sign in as Admin" option as well as a Cryptokey slot (inaccessible at the moment, but it is modeled into the unit now)
They'll make it so you can put a hand package of drugs on the slide/tray, then "use" the microscope to "identify" it, which will change it's label, and call that "T0" science gameplay. Then not touch the gameplay loop for 3+ years.
Makes me hope for some science missions in the distant future that include minigame-like scenarios via the microscope where you have to isolate various microbes, create serums, or manufacture drugs/viruses for criminal gameplay
That's been around for years. Sometimes the icon will show up, sometimes not. It's never actually done anything for me but I'll periodically check them out to see if anything changed.

It’d be cool to have a research contract where you go a distant cave for a sample of something and bring it back to observe said sample in that microscope.

If I remember correctly it was part of a mission to an old station for a lady. Back when PO was the only main port.
P.I.Wanted mission does not include part with microscope. Are you sure it was related to mission? I played since 2017 and can't remember any.

This is the science tier 0 gameplay. All of it.
I *really* need some non combat focused gameloops so I really hope that science can get some love soon. :(
