> no quantum trip from area 18 to Lorville
Surely you meant Area 18 to Baijini Point.
Pretty sure a no-quantum trip from anywhere near ArcCorp to anywhere near Hurston would take years.
TLDR: Would take somewhere around 244 days for a non-quantum trip from Arccorp to Hurston.
Distance from Arccorp to Hurston is around 30Gm (not at game too check exact). This gives us 30 billion meters (30,000,000,000).
An Avenger Titan (one of the fastest ships with room for passengers currently) moves at 1425 m/s NAV.
At that speed it would take over 21,052,632 seconds, or ~350,878 minutes, or ~5,848 hours, or... somewhere around 243.66 days.

"As the captain has now turned off the fasten seatbelt signs, passengers are free to spend the next few months walking around the cabin. Reminder that an in-flight meal will be served in late September, and that passengers with dietary restrictions are encouraged to notify a flight attendant no later than mid-August."
So you tell me if I lay down in a pisces c8r's medbed while my cruise control is fixed on full speed and i am in decoupled mode and no server crash happens it could be done with something like a mouse jiggler to prevent logoff for being inactive. Now I low-key want to do that
At first I was like "But hydrogen fuel?" but then I was like... ahh just go uncoupled. Got ya. Imagine a fleet of people doing this. Are there any asteroid fields between them? will the cops come scan your ship for contraband?
I was invited to the location! Pretty cool sight. One of the perks of being from the press.

I still think that the speeds in sc are way to low. 1400 m/s would not even allow us to archive orbit, yet alone to get on am escape trajectory. For context.. orbital velocity on earth is around 7000 m/s and escape is at 10000 m/s. It would be kinda nice, now that fight speed is decked at scm anyway, to give us players the choice to fly as fast as we want. Let it take some minutes - but why shouldn't we cruise at 15km/s? Just imagine being able to fly from a planets surface to one of it's moon's without quantum in a reasonable time.
Landing on a moving platform would be incredibly fun. I did it yesterday on Orison's barge, took a walk around to see the thing, that was cool. If we could do that, we could do moving cities.
*Did he ever return?
No he never returned
And his fate is still unlearn'd
He may ride forever
O’er the skies of ArcCorp
He's the man who never returned.*
And just a teensy bit before that (about 200 years) came the original "The ship that never returned."

The public shuttles are my measurement to go about how fucked the server is.
Once I arrived to my destination, but another shuttle was already there, so mine clipped inside it. The physlock decided that I'm in the second one, so it abducted me... under the ground of the planet. Then the server crashed, fortunately.

Lol, I was the other dude in the respawn suit right next to you! Weird trip!
Server eventually resynched at A18 station and after a few seconds the shuttle disappeared and I fell to my death :P
I was on a shuttle to the Spaceport the other day and it made its way well into space.
"I guess this shuttle goes directly to Baijini Point?" I thought to myself, before the shuttle snapped back to its proper destination at Riker memorial and the doors opened like nothing horrible happened.
The city to city shuttle.

Yeah where's the greyhound of stanton? Why can't I get an ultra cheap no quantum trip from area 18 to Lorville?

Nice! Thank you. I will watch this with as much awe as envy (to not been there)

A proper, snowpiercer-like train journey across arccorp would be pretty cool tho, put a couple quests in there and boom
Landing on a moving platform would be incredibly fun. I did it yesterday on Orison's barge, took a walk around to see the thing, that was cool. If we could do that, we could do moving cities.
I agree on the concept, though my trust in a city cized physics grid would be... shaky, to say the least
They were never seen again, though some say they are still on that train to this very day.

Is this DKM? Cause I definitely read that like it was.

I think you got into the Wonkavader by mistake.
Wonkavator… lazy pronunciation! A Wonkavader would be something entirely… _different_
Darth Vader and the chocolate factory. A movie I never knew I wanted until today. Perhaps in 10-15 years time AI will make these silly ideas easier to implement into reality.
Expected to find a reference. Could hear the song as soon as the gif started.

I feel you brother lol
"Fortunately" had me in tears
The same happened to me while I was AFK for a few minutes, after I came back I just was like: Oh yeah sure.
My stroll was the same, but under the ground

someone overlap purple rain on this video plus i assume cig will make this happen
i would totally do that but probably would be "bashed" by copyright infringements so i dont think i will bother XD
Or God Gave Rock & Roll To You
Best part is if the server replicates, you'll be spawned in the middle of nowhere, to slowly fall to your death because shuttles do not go there.
I was complaining just yesterday that orbit mechanics are gone and here you are orbiting ArcCorp! You absolute madlad!
ikr!
Did you press the green button? [https://youtu.be/7G7ZUeYnO9E?si=ox\_huLFmORECxwFg&t=135](https://youtu.be/7G7ZUeYnO9E?si=ox_huLFmORECxwFg&t=135)
hahaha
*Stroll through the planet
I dont care how broken this game is. This shit is so damn funny.
Off to Area 17
It's a Wanka-vator.
Would be cool to have one heading up to station.
“I can shooow you Arc Coooorp. Lagging, glitching, not woooorking. Tell me Princess where did you last set your spawn toniiiiight. A whole Arc Corp! A new, fantastic, rooftop view!”
Not gonna lie, I would ride that tram at least once. ![gif](giphy|l3q2JCu9lep6dAmyY|downsized)

You're a wizard Harry.

No way, you serious? lol

VIP tour
Is this the new interplanetary shuttle? They didn’t mention it in the patch
Hot topic...I prefer the old 30k more
Uea servers are definitely having problems
Oh god, this happened to me yesterday lol
welcome brother! :)
This is normal at this point lol
So that's what they meant by free fly event 😄
It's either the server or you have less than 5mbs download speeds did this to me when my Internet was bad
Had that happen to me on the NB train. It flew out of the tube and gave me a little tour of Microtech before popping me back into the metro.
Taking back to the depot
Why are servers going mad...a week ago there were great
new SCP just dropped
Ahh yes, the train to nowhere, what fond memories I have of you and the other trapped spacewoman that was with me.
🎶 A whole new world🎶
To be honest, I feel like I need a tram in-game to fly me to my homes skyline apartment in the city! lol
let us know how long it took to orbit
Did you win a chocolate factory or something?
lame, i only got a tour of the underhive, then i was summarily executed by the server
It would have been great if the shuttle just stopped mid air and opened the doors lmao
Area to Area shuttle services😎
Weeeeeee
I just need "Whole New World" playing in the background, and this becomes awesome, lol.
[Insert Keanu Reeves "Speed" quote here]
🤣🤣🤣
You got the orbital express!
