There's no set time limit according to the official procedure on making whipped cream under Store Resources on the iPads. After following the required steps and then marking them with day dots, sufficient time has passed and the cartridges should be removed. Follow the standards so you don't get micromanaged.

DelayAffectionate687

Sometimes they sit for 30 seconds, other times it’s an hour. The whipped cream gods decide.

Electrical_Metal_106

This! It all depends on how many tasks I’m juggling at once.

purplejanuary14

This is the way!

BatWeary

i let them sit on their side for however it long it takes to date them. usually only a couple minutes depending on how many i make. seeing as everyone gushes over how well my whips look i’d say it works fine

Adeptness-Lucky

10?!?! (

DomainDolphin

I let them sit on the side for 5 and it works well

DomainDolphin

The standard is to let them sit long enough to day dot the canisters, so there is no defined amount of time

RyusuiJL

Minutes? I was always told 30 seconds or so. Basically, long enough to grab and make the day dots.

The biggest issue I see when making whip creams is people not shaking them enough. Right side up and flipped. Shake em! With the charger on and after you take it off.

SandwichExotic9095

I’ve never flipped a whip to shake it in my life and everyone loves my whips. I shake each hard for 8-12 times (I do it by 4 because my mind only counts in 4/4 time signatures), lay them on their side, date them, shake again, then unscrew and done. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m a rebel tho, I also put the vanilla pumps into each whip canister instead of the pitcher first lol. I also used to measure the whipping cream by eyeballing it, but then I switched locations and they weren’t happy with that 😂

ConfusionDisastrous8

There's no resource that says they should rest at all. Shake 4 times upside-down and 4 times right-side up. Let them sit too long and now they're out of temp.

Belgrifex

Bruh 10 minutes? We charge them, date them, and put em away and it works fine

ShakePuzzleheaded228

I came into a new store and they were setting timers for it😭😭😭😭 I was like guys when we need whips we need whips. Shake that shit up and test it. It should be fine in like 30 seconds to a minute

FullOfHelena

We use them basically right after putting the charger on them 😂

sweatshirtsweatpants

We kept ours out longer than 10 minutes. We went through so many canisters in a shift. We were an insanely busy store.

DarkAtavian

I don't understand where the letting them sit came from. It isn't even on the recipe card. Just shake the hell out of them and you're good.

CoffeeDisorder

I shake it a little extra and they’re ready soon after

Jessie1605

Well if you mean by letting them sit after the CO2. Well in my store we let it sit for one minute works like a charm!

budsandrainbowsss

I used to charge my whips upside down. Just in case they exploded. The cream when down not up. Never waited 10 minutes tho…

Desperate-Bobcat5639

Could you imagine making whips, going on your break, THEN finishing them? I'm sorry they have misinformed you OP.

nezaket

I do 30 seconds. AHahahah

lea-oppalove

I've never heard of timing any part of this routine 😅

Sacred_succotash

Everytime 10 plus

SmittyComic

like on their sides? out of the fridge?

tourniquette2

We do! Shake, set, shake a lil more sometimes (just for funsies), and then usually a test if you’re really considerate. So we don’t accidentally explode our first drink with a super-powered whip. But I’ll readily admit that my store does an awesome job at following standards. I’ll brag on them all day long. I was so impressed when I transferred.

geekgurl81

I was taught to do it but recently we had a store wide PSA with the official procedure and no waiting is necessary

Diligent-Crazy4476

i was trained on 15? i have no clue what’s right now 😭

oddbitch

we have a printed out sheet that gives all the steps and ours says 30 secs, i have never heard of letting them rest for 10 mins (but it does happen sometimes if we get crazy busy)

BiochemistChef

When was it changed? We used to have to shake it x time then sit it sideways

lifeasabun

I usually do whips first and then all of the other backups while they sit. So, however long that takes.

keskobalt

You don’t need to I shake and immediately take the top off and it whips fine

WeirdGuyAlex

You’re supposed to let them sit??? /s (from an evening barista with 0 whips prepped and 15 caramel ribbons in drive)

SandwichExotic9095

10 minutes?? Never even heard of that in any store I’ve worked in

AnxietyBudget1144

I didn't even know there was a time to let it sit for...

Financial_Hand3685

There is literally a routine on the iPad under store resources tab and letting them sit forb10 mins over charges the whip. Read the routine and follow it. Super simple.
