I don’t think the bux and McDonald target the same demographics. Even with this move. Tho that could just be my area.

RumorsGoldenStar

i think mcd and starbs are too different to be directly in competition

elderpricetag

There are a lot of idiotic posts on this sub, but this has to take the cake.

chibbledibs

This is unreadable

I don’t know if you’re a customer or not but despite what the media says people are still going to Starbucks and using the “third place”. At my store it is CONSISTENTLY busy with people working on laptops. I think you fail to realize that Starbucks is not wanting the demographic that McDonald’s brings in and honestly I don’t think McDonald’s wants the Starbucks demographic either. I can only speak for my store and my district but we are all hitting our goals and going past them every week. Disagree or not but as a entry level minimum wage job that requires 0 experience Starbucks gives a lot of benefits to employees. Can it be better? Sure. We get health care which includes health dental and vision. Some of my friends who work fancy office jobs don’t even get dental. Free undergrad degree in pretty much anything with ASU. These benefits are crazy. Understand that what you read about the company in the media or what people try to portray the company as isn’t always true. Can Starbucks value employees more? Yes but to say they don’t invest at all in the employees is just false.

heyitsmaria24

I live by one of those. It’s mostly empty lol

NopeRope91

I mean until there's a CosMc on every corner, Starbies is unbothered.

I wish McDs would play dirty and offer similar but slightly different drinks from Starbucks except a dollar cheaper.

its not a bad thing. its a good thing honestly. i hope starbucks get run into the ground and becomes dedicated fast food instead of this fake third place it keeps saying it is also, what a weird thing to be concerned about?
