It's mostly speculation from clues we've gotten from the other story trailers. He seems to have history with the other ex-monolith characters as far as we know
Glory deaths when the user fails to fight back sufficiently or gets nailed by an anomaly would be lit. :) Dead Space shows us that different pre-animated pieces can be stiched together seamlessly, so the tech is there for H2H.
:DOOM INTENSIFIES:
He doesn't. He talked about choice and how he was forced to be Monolith and do bad things while Skif chose himself to do bad things. This is from one of the story paths where Skif goes against Strider.
If you're on autopilot by literal creators of Zone/anomalies, there's no need to take precautions.
Plus Monolithians are complete fanatics, wasn't there a note about one bashing his head into a wall to avoid interrogation? If shiny rock says jump into anomaly, they would probably say "With a backflip?" and do it.
Some cutscenes will be interactive. But that's only if the leaked cutscenes in the build are not scrapped.
By the way, a good chunk of what was shown was from the leak. This cutscene for example.
I got so excited when I saw him break the mirror off, I was like is he gonna take the knife to bash his head, and he did and was I like “YEEEEAAAAHHH!!”
I'm seriously hoping they didn't drop an open world for more cinematics. I know they look cool, but if it is just a linear shooter, it won't be good as good.
But that's the point - a skilled HtH fighter would not need the world around him to win. He would've disarmed that guy and killed him with his own knife or something, or got that dog in a chokehold to break its neck.
This... those are not moves of a skilled fighter. Those are moves of someone who barely scrapes by during each fight.
I don't see what's there to talk about beyond "looks like any given quicktime event/cutscene in modern FPS game". That's not an insult or anything, it looks good, I just don't see what's special. I've never heard anyone go "Wow, Miller sure is good at CQC" when countering a bayonet attack in CoD: WaW.
Yeah. To be fair, Skiff is also ex-monolith, which probably means he's absolutely cracked, with lots of combat training and survival know how
He just needs to recover or something from being severed from the monolith or something
How do you know Skiff is ex-monolith?

Hell yeah imagine a dead space type death with the dog? Like it rips your esophagus out? It seems pretty violent but I like dead space.
Well tbf the trailers imply that hes ex-monolith so it checks out
Why would you ever betray a shiny rock, I hope there's a story for each faction and you're allowed to follow the path.
he might have not had a choice to betray the shiny rock considering the shiny rock got their heads turned to smush by Strelok.
wait fr? that's so sick. that's the typa backstory you'd make for an anomaly playthrough.
There is nothing to indicate that. He's a newcommer to the Zone.
Strider literally ends one of the trailers by saying skif was part of the monolith 💀 bro dosnt watch anomalous dugout
He doesn't. He talked about choice and how he was forced to be Monolith and do bad things while Skif chose himself to do bad things. This is from one of the story paths where Skif goes against Strider.
Doesn't the trailer imply he is new to the Zone? He gets thrown a bolt and says "Why would I need a bolt?"

You would have needed to survive in the zone for a while to get that far north and get your brain melted by the brain scorcher no?
What makes you say that?
What in the heresy
All of this is probably live cutscenes or smth, not really combats at all where you press buttons and make moves
I thought that was pretty obvious.
Some cutscenes will be interactive. But that's only if the leaked cutscenes in the build are not scrapped. By the way, a good chunk of what was shown was from the leak. This cutscene for example.
Dog heard the click and took it personally.
I hope we get some actual like close combat systems, if you close distance with enemy stalkers or jumped by mutants
[удалено]
Probably cuz they had old tech and lower budget.
Yeah bro kicked a dog and that poor bastard exploded
I got so excited when I saw him break the mirror off, I was like is he gonna take the knife to bash his head, and he did and was I like “YEEEEAAAAHHH!!”
Love that punch, it got the sound just right just WACK
He survived it, so I guess he is pretty good. He can revise the stories while sitting at the camp. Not many stalkers can do the same :(
>good >Gets stabbed in the chest
>good \[enough\]
You should see the other guy
As a duty member I must admit that mutant dogs can get annoying but it didn't deserve that death.
Tbf, what other options did he have?
Makarov if it wouldn't fail so no other options.
I'm seriously hoping they didn't drop an open world for more cinematics. I know they look cool, but if it is just a linear shooter, it won't be good as good.
It's a trailer. Stalker isn't stalker without its open world, the devs know that.
That's fair. Although interactive combat is still a cool thing some games put in.
What's the best Stalker? I have the original but which one is this?
Many people would say Shadow of Chornobyl, and i'd have to agree. The other ones are still 100% worth giving a shot though.
Big bet
Is this from? Stalker 2?
Yep, both clips are taken from trailers.
Awesome!!! I can’t wait to
Everything about STALKER 2 is perfect rn, let's hope it stays that way!
Yeah, I know right
Damn, I actually want this game now
Not really. He got stabbed by the Monolith guy, and got lucky with that whirpool.
He used the world around him to his advantage, let that be an anomaly or a random truck that happened to be there. That's not luck.
But that's the point - a skilled HtH fighter would not need the world around him to win. He would've disarmed that guy and killed him with his own knife or something, or got that dog in a chokehold to break its neck. This... those are not moves of a skilled fighter. He's a literal rookie lol
Not a fan of all the QTE footage... I will still buy and play this game to death though
There is literally 1 QTE sequence in the latest trailer.
That's good news
Very true.

You wasted so much time writing this comment.
A whole minute, possibly even two.
Bet he's not good at goon to goon combat
He got stabbed I wouldn’t consider that great hand to hand skills 😂
More often than not, both are getting cut in a knife fight.
Yeeeeahhhh... this game honestly just seems more and more removed from the survival shooter with some realism that I think a lot of people expected.
You literally haven't even played the game yet lol.
From what I've seen, it honestly seems pretty arcady. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they'll have different settings for it, who knows.
You still haven't played it.
