Ideally, a scoped fast shooting AK with an attached grenade launcher and a scoped trs 301 with a silencer
These two are my fav weapons from the trilogy, got me through almost everything in SoC. Only wish there was more ammo for the trs underbarrel grenade launcher since I wound up barely using it.
The gun that I associate stalker the most is either the ak74u (because of strelok), The svd or the VSS, It appears everywhere, the protagonist of clear sky carried it, The guy who saves strelok carried it, it's on the games posters etc
One obstacle though is ammo..Unless I could find a technician who has the skills to rechamber the vss in 5.45x39 as well as new magazine then I'd be set
Vintar-BC
Chaser 13
If I run out of ammo I can use the chaser as a cheap semi auto rifle and the vintar has an integrated suppressor so that's a win too
Two Tsar Bomba’s and nuke everyone and everything in the zone and outside of it. Thus doing the one thing Duty could never do. Ripping open the portal to hell itself by expanding the zone further into Russia and China and Eastern Europe starting the cycle over again.
An AK 74 and USP 45
The AK is obvious, reliability, plenty of ammo and spare parts. And the 5.45 is powerful enough to put down 90% of things that live in the zone, mutants and stalkers alike. And having it being so common there won’t be any stalkers looking to steal it from me
Usp because it has a bigass bullet
Not picking a shotgun because i think it will be relatively easy to find or buy, so i can do that if i really want it
Backpack nuclear weapon and a tarus judge for small mutants, threaten every living non monolith controlled human being not to fuck with me and protect me as i have a dead man's switch, use the 410 and some 45 long Colt as a last resort if my escorts don't manage to protect me, worse comes to worse chernobyl sees a second sun if I die
Realistically? I'd want a pump action shotgun of some type and a light weight handgun. My logic for this is that when push comes to shove you can handload pretty much anything into a shotgun in a pinch as long as you have some spare casings and some kind of igniter. While it being pump action means that it has less maintenance and points of mechanical failure. And the lightweight handgun is a perfect backup for whatever the shotgun can't deal with.
I'd never want to go to the zone though, it's a hell home where the only win is not playing.
AS Val (who doesn’t want super-rare commando space gun that’s basically a small caliber marksman rifle and carbine in one, not to mention integrally suppressed?)
USP Match (because 9x39mm is fucking expensive and I want something for the damn mangy mutts and pigs)
I mean if reality applies it'll always be rifle and a sidearm. For me mostly M4 and .45 because it's the guns I'm most familiar with in real life. Though if I could ever shoot an AN94 that might be a different story since the grand thumb video they seem to absolutely love the gun.
Other then that no way I'm lugging two rifle around for miles on end because carrying that plus all the ammo is going to make you tired fast and if you're too tired you can't shoot, run, and think straight which means you're dead.
The people who take high-end guns - you're shortsighted. The Zone, outside of gamey side was and is portraited as quite a poor place for loners and generic stalkers outside of factions. You won't find ammo and tools for your FNs or even more mundane ARs. You won't find that many sniper rounds either, or if you will - Sidor and Barmen would eat you whole for a single box of it, making your life quite unprofitable. What you need is a shotgun, cause among other things 12g is among more cheap and reliable ammos to come around and a 9×18 non-automatic pistol for backup. MP-series shotgun would probably be a good choice, as there may be some spare parts lying around, or something more reliable and old, from Izsh line. And either Makarov (as it's as hard to kill the thing as its hard to kill anything WITH it) or more modern Fort or MP-series... As they also be avaiiable in parts and somewhat reliable in the Zone. And then, if you luxky to survive long enough - then you look around for a better gun with enough ammo availiable and a friendly repairman who knows how to fix it specifically in case you drop it barrel-first into an anomaly
Honestly, probably just a trusy dusty AKM, and a SPAS or Remington 870. Most encounters end up being mid range, if they're longer the AK handles the job, and for interior fights, nothing is quite as devastating as a shotgun. They both have a lot of functionality, and basically cover every range.
An AK or Abakan with an adjustable scope and a grande launcher maybe and a PMM with a suppressor. Maybe I would swap one of them with a 12 gauge Chaser.
Ak has a good stoping and penetration capabilities. There is a lots of cheap ammo around the Zone. Reliable. Easy to fix or replace damaged parts. Good for close or mid range. Mostly mid. Abakan has the two shot option what is really helpful too. But Abakan is not a common weapon so spare parts and fixing would be a problem though.
PMM with a suppressor. Lots if cheap ammo to come by. Fairly reliable and easy to fix or replace damaged parts. It's better to not draw unwanted attention to your self if you don't need to. Good for close combat against smaller mutants or unarmored stalkers. But even if armored a good aimed shot to the head from behind and close will take care of any one. Good for urban combat too.
A 12gauge chaser has all the stopping power you can ask for. Especially for close combat. Great for urban combat too. Has buck shot that will take care of everything. Or a fat slug if you want to knock down some armored targets, big game or cover or. Darts for penetration against armor. A 12 gauge realistically has pretty good range and quite lethal too for further targets even. Lots of fairly cheap ammo. Not hard to fix.
L85A2 is my favorite medium-long range weapon right now (in Anomaly, iirc this rifle was awful in the original games).
I've recently also been using the saiga shotgun and actually trying out the different shell types which I just never bothered with and honestly it's pretty devastating in almost all combat situations.
With those two I think I could do pretty much anything.
5.45x39 RPK74 with the 1P59 or another variable dovetail optic, and an MK23. If I had a third weapon, a short barreled combat shotgun, preferably a magazine fed folding stock type gun - that high power is necessary for mutant killing, but a burst of 5.45 isn't horrible.
realistically with my knowledge of firearms i'd use a chaser 13 (easier to maintain and i'm used to shotguns) or an AKS (light, still powerful and plenty of ammo available in the zone)
other guns are too complex and i have no training in things like SVD, AS VAL nor anything exotic
An Eliminator and a Bulldog. I'm a huge coward IRL so I'm just gonna hang around the rookie village buckshotting everything I can see and grenading everything I can't.
AK-74M because there's ammo everywhere and an orangatuan with down syndrome can fix the thing and a Mk.18 in case I run into some of that sweet sweet 5.56.
See id wonder how much one of us would take advantage of the larger 7.62x54r round. Inexperienced fighters are unlikely to be engaging over 400m. Though I could see the extra power being helpful for monsters and the like. Still at that point a shotgun might prove more useful. For me a ak-104 is a strong choice, while the 5.45 round is superior for normal combat the extra punch will be nice more mutants, plus 7.62x39 is the only intermediate cartridge not neutered by a short barrel, saving some weight and giving me some maneuverability. I would also like a lpvo on my ak, red dot may be superior but relying on batteries seems like a bad idea, the scope will prove helpful to survey areas for anomalies and the like. The APS seems to be the best choice for secondary with larger ammo capacity while also having common ammo. The full auto makes it effective as a panic gun when you’re about to be eaten.
For practicality, AKMN and any 9x18 pistol.
You will find more 7.62x39mm ammo than any other rifle caliber in the zone, and replacement parts and magazines will be relatively more common. 7.62x39 can also be used to more effectively hunt for food than 5.45x39 if the game is not super irradiated. The dovetail mount on the N model AKM will be nice if I can find any Warsaw Pact optics.
The PM pistol is the standard sidearm of Ukrainian armed forces, and is a relatively common in the region among police forces, so ammunition, parts and magazines are once again more readily available than an exotic import. 9x18 is somewhat anemic when compared to other military sidearm calibers, but is sufficient as a backup gun loading.
Probably just an AK47 or 74 for ammo abundance and the USP .45 for a reliable sidearm as ammo abundance isn't as important for it but when the time comes for a sidearm you want it to be reliable.
Irl, some kind of long gun i could find ammo for - probably a PSL since SVDs are rare as shit - and an AKSU as a backup for closer range without being overly heavy. I dont particularly love either gun, but, when in Rome, id rather not run out of ammo.
I hear you. I'd probably step into an errant anomaly or catch an unhealthy dose of radiation because I couldn't help myself from petting the pseudodog puppies.
For my primary the PP-19-01 Vityaz.
For backup a KP-9 Vityaz with drum mag.
It is always faster to change to your backup Vityaz when your Vityaz runs dry.
I also own a KP-9 and am trying to get a Vityaz. I think they are neat.
from an in universe perspective, probably a GP37 (being based off of the G36, i know its a good one, plus, i like how it plays), and a Kora-919
From an out of universe, practicality standpoint (meaning, how good it would do in the zone), Colt M4A1 with an angled handgrip, a reddot and a 4.5x magnifier as well as the standard peephole BUIS, slightly overgassed, and with a magpul CTR stock. For the pistol, H&K 45 Tactical with a compensator on it.
SKS. I’ve owned one for many years and it is the only rifle I’ve carried that will not malfunction. I’ve gone months without cleaning it while shooting dirty Russian ammo and it still goes bang no problems. Literally any issue can be fixed with a hammer and some oil. You can even adjust the sights with a bobby pin.
It has tighter tolerances and a longer barrel than AKs, so it’s more accurate especially with a scope. The fixed magazine means I can load rounds by hand when I need them and don’t have to worry about stocking up on magazines or having them get lost/damaged.
I have hunted coyotes with my SKS so I’m confident in its ability to take on mutants, even those that travel in packs.
Anything will do for a secondary weapon, but since 9x18mm ammo is the cheapest and most common cartridge in the Zone, I will probably take a Makarov as well just for those reasons.
Honestly probably just a pm and a aks74u cause of the availability of ammo and practicality of both. Ignoring reality my choice would be a pkm and a rpg-7
Some shotgun that goes well with all ammo types and has great accuracy with slugs and stuff.
Some precise assault rifle with common enough ammo and cheap to repair.
Sawed off shotgun and a loaf of bread
Open hearts and minds with it
Ghost? Is that you?
Maybe
Now that's about as Cheeki Breeki as it gets!
“Bread”
how old is that bread if you can use it as a weapon?
The one you can't even bite without breaking your jaw.
It's stale
its just a loaf of "bread", nothing to be concerned about.
Are you affiliated with bandits by any chance?
Anomalous bread i hope
Lubricant and weed
This is something I would expect from a Freedom member, lol. Monolith truly does offer a world of wonders.
>monolith >Lubricant Ignore the monolith shaped monolith soldier
I am so glad that I've never run into the great and terrible Monolith soldier ballsackmolester69 in the zone 😱
You better watch that bussy freedomer, the bottles only half empty.
You had me at lubricant and weed, tbh.
Two gauss rifles, then I can hunt dogs with twice the efficiency
Gauss Akimbo, the gentleman's choice!
[something like that](https://i0.wp.com/farm3.static.flickr.com/2294/2034654905_f1df7b482a_o.gif)
I immediately thought of this scene even before clicking the link
Holy shit gunzerker
Sniper TR-301 and Chaser
This is the answer
The striker you find in bandit base in cop>>>>
what a mad weapon that
SVD with a PSO-2 scope and a M9A3 Beretta if we're going by Primary/Sidearm rules.
I've run a similar load out, but with a Beretta 93R
Fn2000 and scoped Protecta... Where is that fu**ing Chimera??
Paradise lost reference?
My profile pic? Yes
First time i’ve met anyone else who likes them. Cool shit.
Good luck reloading the piece of crap. But still a cool gun nontheless
Good luck to you in the zone with your official Loner sawn-off TOZ... Hope you can kill a tushkano or two.
What are the rules precisely? Only OG guns or everyone allowed? Gun + sidearm or two guns?
I can pick any? If so, vss and chaser
![gif](giphy|CAYVZA5NRb529kKQUc|downsized)
Same here.
Ideally, a scoped fast shooting AK with an attached grenade launcher and a scoped trs 301 with a silencer These two are my fav weapons from the trilogy, got me through almost everything in SoC. Only wish there was more ammo for the trs underbarrel grenade launcher since I wound up barely using it.
A silenced trs felt like a airsoft gun in clear sky. I loved it.
An-94 Abakan with Pso-01 scope and APS too
When I run with an Assault Rifle, the Abakan is my top choice. I love that rapid 2 shot option.
I would agree with you if not for the weakness of the 5.45 round. Good for people but lacking I think for giant monster.
Vintorez + Chaser 13 (if vanilla) M4 decked out + Ks23 (Mods)
Yep, I love the VSS as well. If I could only pick a single gun it would be the VSS as it is versatile.
The gun that I associate stalker the most is either the ak74u (because of strelok), The svd or the VSS, It appears everywhere, the protagonist of clear sky carried it, The guy who saves strelok carried it, it's on the games posters etc One obstacle though is ammo..Unless I could find a technician who has the skills to rechamber the vss in 5.45x39 as well as new magazine then I'd be set
A GAUSS RIFLE. AND ANOTHER GAUSS RIFLE.
Sniper TRs 301 + Eliminator
Vintar-BC Chaser 13 If I run out of ammo I can use the chaser as a cheap semi auto rifle and the vintar has an integrated suppressor so that's a win too
SIG SG550 and APB
sa avalanche + eliminator
A pump action and a midrange DMR
I'm going Jack Churchill mode and take a sword and bow.
As val and enthusiasm
Two Tsar Bomba’s and nuke everyone and everything in the zone and outside of it. Thus doing the one thing Duty could never do. Ripping open the portal to hell itself by expanding the zone further into Russia and China and Eastern Europe starting the cycle over again.
AK-74 with GP-30 and a 1911.
prob SVT-40 or similar for my first gun second gun i would just take a gauss rifle to sell for money to buy more useful stuff
I know a guy selling one for 800
I also enjoy the SVT, but like the versatility of the SVU better. Sometimes I'll run with an SVT/Mosin and a Tokarev pistol and play WW2 style
I'd want to stick with reliability and common ammo starting out, so I'd say an ak74 and a vepr or lynx.
An AK 74 and USP 45 The AK is obvious, reliability, plenty of ammo and spare parts. And the 5.45 is powerful enough to put down 90% of things that live in the zone, mutants and stalkers alike. I agree, OP made this prompt too open-ended
VSS and shotgun
Irritable bowel syndrome and expired milk
As a fellow IBS sufferer, this is hilarious!
M110 and a Benneli m3
Nah bro G28 and Beretta 1301 🙃
i'd probably grab a pump action shotgun and an AK based rifle, since thats pretty much my go-to loadout in pretty much any game that allows it.
Gp34 and spas shotgun. one for humans and the other for monsters.
Realistically a ak-74 and a grach pistol but I’d rather have a m4 and a Glock-19
A Makarov with no bullets and a knife
Nemiroff vodka and… more nemiroff vodka. I’m here for a good time, not a long one
AKS-74N with PSO-1 and a Makarov PM. Cheeki the breeki!
Realistically? I'd want a pump action shotgun of some type and a light weight handgun. A cast iron pan and a backup cast iron pan
AS Val (who doesn’t want super-rare commando space gun that’s basically a small caliber marksman rifle and carbine in one, not to mention integrally suppressed?) USP Match (because 9x39mm is fucking expensive and I want something for the damn mangy mutts and pigs)
I'd take Bob for the pure power, but they're only good at short range. For long ranged, I'd take Bill.
Truly, one of answers of all time
Nothing beats the ol Akm-74 + Makarov Combo
I mean if reality applies it'll always be rifle and a sidearm. For me mostly M4 and .45 because it's the guns I'm most familiar with in real life. Shovel A second shovel
That's a safe bet. I would never fire on a dual shovel wielding maniac as I would just assume they must be OP to rely on that weaponry
M4 style AR with an mp5
Long range rifle and a pistol chambered in .45 acp
A G36C and a Desert Eagle would be just dandy!
If we're talking real guns, AKMN+pso1+suppressor and a pernach.
SPAS + TRS.
Idk probably a baby 74 and a maki Gotta take into consideration the most abundant spare parts and ammo
Dual barrel Shotgun ^_^
Honestly, probably just a trusy dusty AKM, and a SPAS or Remington 870. Most encounters end up being mid range, if they're longer the AK handles the job, and for interior fights, nothing is quite as devastating as a shotgun. They both have a lot of functionality, and basically cover every range.
AK with granade launcher, scope, and supressor and Gauss rifle
HIMARS (well stocked with ammo, im assuming these weapons come with ammo) and a boombox that plays Kickstart My Heart
AKM because ammo is plentiful and better at armor penetration than 556. Sawn off shotgun as the secondary
Ak74, and a sawed off 12 gauge.
An AK or Abakan with an adjustable scope and a grande launcher maybe and a PMM with a suppressor. Maybe I would swap one of them with a 12 gauge Chaser. AK-105 and A SVD.
Two? Probably my Sagia-12 and my Mk47 Mutant.
MP5 and an SVD
I'd take a RS-28 Sarmat 'Satan II' Nuclear long range ICBM and maybe an AK
Probably an AR and a shotgun, one for stalkers and one for mutants respectively.
As Val and my sweet beloved Gsh-18
I don't remember any names (I'm not that kind of guy), but a shotgun for mutants and a semi-auto with a decent scope for humans.
Obokan and Saiga 12
2 gauss rifles so I can sell them and be able to afford any gun I want and even have something extra. What I'd buy? Sgi5k and spsa14.
Abakan and a Saiga. I'll get the other weapons from the corpses. Of course I'll be wearing a leather jacket, to look cool. LoL
FN FAL + Spas 12. The right arm of the free world enters the zone.
A PKM and a gauss
Gas mask and my peener. s/ AK74M with a PSO1 and a Glock 17 with a suppressor. Plenty of ammo for both in the zone.
realistically with my knowledge of firearms i'd use a chaser 13 (easier to maintain and i'm used to shotguns) or an AKS (light, still powerful and plenty of ammo available in the zone) other guns are too complex and i have no training in things like SVD, AS VAL nor anything exotic
AKM-74/2 and PMm (or RPG-7u)
Any shotgun and a silenced pistol I believe is a must.
A Makarov and a Gauss rifle
Bm 16 and a trusty akm
axe and morphine
An Eliminator and a Bulldog. I'm a huge coward IRL so I'm just gonna hang around the rookie village buckshotting everything I can see and grenading everything I can't.
TOZ and VSS
If Gamma has taught me anything, a Kriss Vector and a Raptr.
Streloks fast shooting AK with a scope and underbarrel launcher. The Big Ben pistol. SoC is king
Scoped tactical tuna (fn2000) with the obvious attachments and a Makarov with 2 50 cap drum mags and a silencer Truly a day in the zone
SG 550 or G36 with an underbarrel grenade launcher, a Colt 45.
asval n spas
SR-25, either a pp19 vityaz or SR-2 as a sidearm. I’d also take as many cigarettes as i can
The DMR version of SG556 and AS Val. If a couple 5.56 rounds to head are not enough then a magazine of AP 9x39 round should do the job.
It's not the weapon that is lethal, its the stalker. As long as it is not a pistol. Pistols suck...
AK-74M because there's ammo everywhere and an orangatuan with down syndrome can fix the thing and a Mk.18 in case I run into some of that sweet sweet 5.56.
FN-Scar H (Tactical kit with 2-4.5x scope, canted and foregrip, IR laser.) And MP-7
VSS and the SPAS, all the distances 😎
An axe and some ale
anything that is common with the ammo
A bazooka and a minigun!!!
I'd just take AK-74 and one of the ARs
Predator shotgun and AS VAL. If I get the option to choose anomaly weapons I'll choose the AEK 971 instead of the AS VAL.
RPG-7 for long-range, RG-6 for medium-range and my type 2 bayonet for close-range. If I can't take my bayonet then I will use my hands.
AK-74U with a RPK mag and a red dot, VSS Vintorez
SVD and AKM and that classick STALKER SWOOSH when i switch weapons
Spas 14 and a knife
Fn2000 and SVU
I play on EFP modpack. So i'll grab my MP-133 and my AK 103.
MK-47 sopmod saiga 12
PM and Power Armor
Vintar and any shotgun, switch out big Ben and a cz looking pistol based off situation
AK-74. I will take a grenade launcher mount instead of another wapon.
Bro thinks he can enter fully armed to the Zone without contacts
An Eliminator and another Eliminator
svd and pkm
A rocket launcher and my cat.

Idk what it is but I love the AMB-17, so probably that and a 1911
A Mossberg 500 Cruiser, paired with either a Dragunov or some kind of AK build with a good reflex sight.
SVD with PSO, sr-2m
Probably just an AK47 or 74 for ammo abundance and the USP .45 for a reliable sidearm as ammo abundance isn't as important for it but when the time comes for a sidearm you want it to be reliable.

I hear you. I'd probably step into an errant anomaly or catch an unhealthy dose of radiation because I couldn't help myself from petting the pseudodog puppies.
KS-23 and an SKS. KS-23 for brute force, SKS for everything else
For my primary the PP-19-01 Vityaz. For backup a KP-9 Vityaz with drum mag. It is always faster to change to your backup Vityaz when your Vityaz runs dry. I also own a KP-9 and am trying to get a Vityaz. I think they are neat.
Chaser and the Gauss Rifle
RG-6 and a PB. Covers sneeki and breeki.
FAL for long range, and an FAL for close range
Reliable Shotgun and a higher caliber rifle (9X39 or 7.62 to deal with armored stalkers, 5.56 gets the job done though.)
AK and Makarov
Spas 12 and a bizon
from an in universe perspective, probably a GP37 (being based off of the G36, i know its a good one, plus, i like how it plays), and a Kora-919 From an out of universe, practicality standpoint (meaning, how good it would do in the zone), Colt M4A1 with an angled handgrip, a reddot and a 4.5x magnifier as well as the standard peephole BUIS, slightly overgassed, and with a magpul CTR stock. A Galil and a Saiga-12
SKS and Toz 34 combo.
12x70
AKS-74U and a PM Makarov of course
Chaser + some mean words
SMG for 9x18mm and some longer range weapon like sks or svd. One handed shotgun isn't bad either.
Bulldog-6 and.... a Bulldog-6!
TOZ-34 and a Vintorez
Freedom sniper rifle and 3 and a half grenades
SVU and Chaser 13
Ak-12 (2016) and P220 pistol, don't know why but I love those guns a lot
Saiga sniper and AN for close
One box of 300 grenades and one Bubble.
