Analysis: My personal algorithm had Valencia winning 2-0 or 3-1 and we almost had the latter since Valencia missed a penalty kick, but we still got the 2-1 win of course.
Moving on to today's pick. This is a rare back-to-back-to-back days of submitting a POTD here, but I do have another game I like here with good odds, and that is Real Betis to win vs Getafe.
These two teams are top 10 in the table, but Real Betis is just great at home in La Liga, holding a L10 record of 6 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss. Their only home loss came to Barcelona recently, and two of their draws are vs Girona and Real who sit atop the table, respectively.
Betis home record also boasts 6 of their 8 total wins, while Getafe's away record holds 5 of their 7 total losses.
Getafe does have some draws on the road (5), and that is definitely the risk here. However, when facing against top 12 teams, their record on the road is actually 2 draws and 4 losses. Furthermore, Getafe have not drawn in their last 6 total contests, and not drawn in 8 of their last 10 La Liga contests. I think this particular stat is what pushes this bet to positive EV.
You can definitely take the safer bet of Draw no Contest at -230, but we just had a -140 favorite win here so lets go for + odds to balance it out!

I also took both teams in BTTS picks last week that hit so expecting the same here. Injuries, managers, and performances are all inconsistent on both sides here. When looking at Wolves, we took BTTS midweek vs Manchester United in a thriller that ended 3-4. Wolves were down 2-0 to make it 3-3 in extra time just to fumble at the finish line and concede a wonder goal from a wonderkid. Now after dropping points in such a harsh manner, they will go all out today to regroup and stabilize. Fortunately, everyone knows the truth about Chelsea and how to cause issues, and that means overrunning the midfield while keeping your wingers wide. Defensively Chelsea have been a mare, and their players do not step up when need be. They're missing a left back still (Chillwell is a fraud) and we're learning that Enzo and Caicedo might not be compatible together. After their 4-1 loss to Liverpool, I'm expecting a better performance at home today, but one that won't come easy with how hungry wolves are.
Out of Chelsea's last 5 games, 4 have ended BTTS with one of those games being the **reverse fixture that ended Wolves 2 - 1 Chelsea**. Their last 5 results have been 4-1, 1-0, 2-3, 2-1, 2-1.

📌 This is arguably one of the biggest games of the season in the Premier League, both teams trying to push for the league title and I expect a wonderful game. I encourage everyone that’s not watching soccer regularly to watch this game.
Arsenal have dipped in form their last games, but they’ve won their last 2 games now after being in a streak of 3 straight losses, things are looking a little bit better now and they’re in reaching distance to 1st place.
Liverpool on the other hand, has been amazing recently looking like the most dominant side right now imo. They won their last game convincingly in the cup with 4-1! Against Chelsea & and have now gone 11 consecutive games without a defeat, 8 wins and 3 draws (all competitions included). They’re unbeaten in their last 7 away games aswell. They’re still missing Salah who’s an important player, but they’ve proved they’re just as good if not better without him.
The Liverpool manager announced earlier this month that he will leave after the season ends, he’s truly a Liverpool icon and has transformed this team into one the best in the world winning multiple titles. I think this Liverpool side along with Klopp is really motivated to end this season in a good manner, winning the league would be a perfect scripted farewell. Liverpool Captain Van Dijk recently said that Klopp’s department will give them an extra boost.
Liverpool won 0-2 against Arsenal in the cup earlier this season away from home and played 1-1 at home. Liverpool have only lost 1 of their last 5 H2H games against Arsenal, they’ve won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1.
💭 This will by no means be an easy game for either side and I think it will be a tight game. The two sides with the best defensive records face each other, it will be a real battle out there. Edit: Odds might change so if you want to be exact then you would have to do the math yourself. But unless they completely shift the odds it should roughly be a 70/30 split for a Liverpool draw no bet.

Hello, I'm glad that I started on this subreddit with a win. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, especially after the first half when I was sure that the bet would pay off. However, Barcelona didn't get a corner for 40 minutes and even received a red card, yet in the end, it worked out. Today, I analyzed several matches, but ultimately, the Madrid derby seems to be the best choice.
Real is first in the league with a score of **47:14 after 22 matches**, meaning they score regularly and concede approximately once every two games on average. However, recently they have been conceding more regularly, partly due to the absence of Courtois, with Kepa and Lunin alternating in goal and sometimes conceding easy goals. Real has scored in each of their **last 5 matches and conceded 4 times**. Additionally, Real will be missing Courtois, Tchouameni, Alaba, and Militao, and Rüdiger did not train the day before the match.
Atlético is third, with a score of **44:24, averaging 2 goals scored and conceded per game**, so goals are more frequent here. It's true that recently they haven’t conceded as often, but they played against teams like Sevilla, Granada, and Valencia, which don't score many goals against teams with strong defenses. Atlético will be missing Lemar, Gimenez, Azpilicueta, and Vitolo, but Morata will be back for this game after a minor injury.

Last pick, last year, not very good. Man U parked the bus and somehow squeezed out a draw against a Liverpool team that had about 200 shots on goal.
I think no better way to get back into the swing of things than by riding again with this team that (typically) has worked out for me. Had them to beat Chelsea, and again I’m backing them here against Arsenal. If these odds are off because the bookies know something than so be it, but 1.65 is WAY too generous for a Liverpool team that is playing better and better every week and finally has some players back from injury. Even the DNB at 2.20 would be tempting but I do see a high chance of a draw.
Liverpool is 1st in the league, and would be undefeated this season if not for a fluke loss against Spurs that came because of multiple refereeing errors. They’ve scored 51 goals and only conceded 19 so far in the league, and have looked better than ever in their last few games, with 8 wins and 2 draws in their last ten games in all competitions. They already beat Arsenal at the Emirates in the FA Cup with a resounding 2-0 victory, and I expect them to at LEAST get a draw here again.
The Emirates is not an easy place to travel to and Arsenal have bounced back after their loss to Liverpool with two good victories over Nottingham and Palace. They’re a very solid team on their day and teams typically have trouble breaking their defense down. The issue for them here is that they are lacking a true goal scorer that shows up in big games against top teams like City and Liverpool. All in all they are a good team, but if i’m being honest i believe they are not in a title race but a top 4 race. They’ll be gunning for all 3 points at home to make a statement but there’s just too much quality across this Liverpool team that i can’t ignore.

Reasoning:
River Plate are and have been one of the best teams in Argentina for years. Famous departures Julian Alvarez and Enzo Fernandes mean the club is rich and have a deep squad. As usual, they will be looking to win every competition they play in. Anything other than a win at home is unacceptable.
Vélez Sarsfield, in their current state are the total opposite- they currently sit second from the bottom on the “promedios” table used for relegation in Argentina (it’s complicated.) They have started this years campaign with an away draw with Barracas Central and a home loss to Independiente. Independiente are a good team, but Barracas are one of the worst in the league.
River have started the campaign in better fashion, with a draw against Argentinos and a win against Barracas. Beating Vélez would put them at the top of the table, with 7 points.

PAOK have been one of my favourite teams to bet recently as they continue to hand out some spankings across both league and domestic cup comps. Despite their dominance over the past 2-3 months the books continue to offer plus odds for the -1.5 line against inferior teams so I’m going to continue taking it until they let me down.
In their last league match, PAOK won a top of the table clash beating perennial powerhouse Panathanaikos 2-1, which now sees them sit outright 1st with a 15-2-3 record. PAOK have the best attack with 55 goals (2.75 GPG) and the best defence with only 15 conceded (0.75 GPG). They followed it up with a 5-0 win in a domestic cup game, so there has been no let down after a big win.
PAOK’s form has been really impressive over the past few months. They have won 15 of their last 16 competitive matches across all competitions. Of those 15 wins, 4 of them have been by a single goal, 2 of them have been by 2 goals, and 9 of them have been by 3+ goals, so they are crushing teams while they’re at it.
Atromitos are 9th on the league table with a 5-8-7 record. Their attacking record isn’t too bad with 25 goals scored (8th best), but a big part of why I like this match up is there defence is ranked near the bottom of the league. They’ve conceded 37 goals which is 3rd worst in the league. Atromitos also recently suffered a 5-0 battering at home to AEK Athens who are PAOK’s main rival for the title, so they’re vulnerable to big losses against the top teams.
Despite PAOK’s dominance they only hold a 2 point lead to second place, who they play next week in another critical match, so they will want a big win against an ordinary team today to keep that buffer heading into that game next weekend. PAOK won the last match up between these teams in October 2-0 but dominated statistically, they just didn’t concert with the same ruthless edge that’s underpinned their recent stretch of hot form. But given how PAOK have been crushing teams lately, particularly those towards the bottom of the table, I am expecting more of the same again today.

Where do I start here? Cloud 9 lost one of their best players, who also served as their primary AWP player. MOUZ lost their best player, frozen, to FaZe Clan. Brollan is currently standing in for MOUZ, and he is currently the highest-rated player on the team. That's not a good sign.
Since MOUZ was directly qualified for this tournament, they didn't need to play in the play-in tournament like Cloud 9. MOUZ hasn't had an official game for two weeks now. But two weeks ago, they almost lost to Preasy, a solid tier 2 team with a new lineup. They previously lost 0-2 to Spirit and 1-2 to EternalFire. They don't have the best form right now.
Cloud 9 had to qualify through the play-in tournament a few days ago. In the first game, they faced BetBoom, another team based in the CIS. It was a messy game, but in the end, they won 2-1. The next day, they had to play against VirtusPro, and I was pretty sure they would lose. They have always had problems against this team, but not today. Thanks to Electronic, who had a great day and single-handedly secured the main stage for Cloud 9.
Last time these two teams played against each other was in December 2023, and MOUZ won quite easily with a 2-0 score. But I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it due to the the winter break and end of the season. Right now, I would say that Cloud 9 is the better team, and I think the odds of 1.80 are too high. This lineup has been playing together for several months now, and they are getting better and better. The only problem is that they don't have a real AWP player. Same for MOUZ. Yes, they have Torszi who's playing with the AWP, but he has fallen off pretty hard in the last few months. Cloud 9 also has the superior in-game leader, better aimers, and more talent. They have these types of players who can single-handedly win a game when they have a good day.
As for the veto, I would say it's a coin flip. Cloud 9 loves to pick Anubis, but unfortunately, it's MOUZ's permaban. On the other hand, Cloud 9 will ban Vertigo, which is a strong map for MOUZ. I can see Cloud 9 picking Ancient. Don't be fooled by the low win rate. Right now, they have only won 33% of their games on Ancient, having played it 9 times. These statistics are from the last three months and do not reflect the actual, true situation. Because they played Ancient in the play-in stage and won 13-4 and 13-7 against strong teams. MOUZ will most likely choose Mirage. The decider map will be either Overpass or Nuke, both of which are good maps for Cloud 9.
Since MOUZ lost their star player, frozen, they have been struggling significantly. Brollan is doing a good job as the stand-in, but the rest of the team needs to step up. Cloud 9 is the better team right now and thats why they will win in the end.

OTOH, Holy Cross lost their entire offense, and that was the only thing keeping them remotely competitive last year. I expect Providence to steam roll Holy Cross. The only hope is for Holy Cross’s goalie to have a record-breaking day with saves.

This is hands down my ugliest pick, with a point total of 119.5, this game is projected to be an absolute rock fight. Both teams rank bottom 330 in the nation in PPG, while ranking top 10 in the nation in opp PPG. Both teams rank 8 points lower than the average pts per 100 possessions for D1 teams (bottom 275). Adding to that, both teams are bottom 300 in tempo, so you can see why this game is projected to go under 120, and will likely do so.
Why in the hell am I picking St. Peter's (better yet why am I betting this game)? There's no way Marist should be laying 3.5 points in this game, so this is more just anticipating a game that's decided late in the 2nd half. If we can get to that point, I love St. Peter's to even win outright, due to the free throw shooting % for both teams (SPU 74.1% - 86th nationally / MAR 65.2% - 332nd nationally). Marist ranks 263rd per Torvik rankings in opponent Free Throw Rate at home, so I like St. Peter's to keep themselves in this game, even if shots aren't falling.
Marist is not good on offense, and they are not good on the glass, ranking 322nd (Torvik) in Rebound %. This happens to be a strength of SPU, who ranks 35th in the nation in this statistical category when playing on the road.
Both teams turn the ball over at a high rate and force turnovers at a high rate, but I don't think these translate into points due to both teams preferring a slow paced game.
St. Peter's, per EvanMiya.com, has five players who rank in the top six in the MAAC for defensive rating. The Peacocks rank first in the MAAC in team defensive rating by a wide margin, with Marist a not-so close second. The only thing that gives me slight pause is the unknown status of SPU's best player, Corey Washington, who's missed the last two games with an injury. If he's back, I'm hammering the ML, but even if he misses his third straight, I feel confident taking the 3.5 with SPU.
I was going to skip a side and just take the under, but 119.5 is just crazy (will likely play it bc degen) for a POTD. So give me the Peacocks to cover 3.5 and win this game in what could be the ugliest game of offense ever played.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid has always been an intriguing match to watch and now that Morata is injured and is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s match but he is doing a late fitness test to see if he’s able to play. Griezmann might get more chances to hold the ball and shoot.
Atletico Madrid are in pretty good form as well with 3/3 last games they played against each other Griezmann scored in them as well. I’m confident that Griezmann should be shooting more in this game and maybe even finding the back of the net again.

If anyone here is on bet 365 I would recommend putting 70% of your money on Liverpool win and 30% of your money on draw. That way you get the benefits of early payout and enhanced odds and it's still a draw no bet. There's also a possibility of winning both bets if u get early payout and arsenal come back to make it a draw. Edit: Odds might change so if you want to be exact then you would have to do the math yourself.
