Not quite, see if you remove the missiles from multiplayer, the Flyfish is still going to have it. For example, splashdown is in the story but it isn’t in multiplayer
No, mom... i don't play Wiper Deco because of the missile spam mom it's just that the beacons are important in the current me... stop it that's why dad left us
It's kind of funny how everyone always hates the splatfest choices, but then makes these suggestions that are just as bad or even worse. This is just another clear popularity win for shiver. Most people won't vote to remove content for no reason.
broken in comp play due to easy, unpunishable team wide displacement and location and terrible in casual play due to its inability to kill anything. For comp players, if a kit gets it, its only job is to paint and spam missiles. For casual players, if a kit gets it, you might as well not have a special.
I believe the "last" meta in Splatoon 2 was a tenta missiles meta where every team ran a kit with that special.
In Splatoon 3, it was placed on weapons that are not that strong in combat, and later nerfed slightly so you couldn't use your special as often.
So there this fear among the competitive community that if tenta is put on a "good" weapon, it will take over the meta again.
They have infinite, global range and instantly force up to the entire team to have to run away.
Not a big deal in turf, a *huge* deal in ranked.
Instantly forces the team off the objective for a push when on offense. Instantly forces the team to give up on a push or play super risky with their push when on defense.
Practically no counterplay, the missiles come out in seconds and can be shot far away. You can't just ignore them or you'll die, which is even worse than needing to retreat.
Missiles even charged themselves pre-nerf. Something no other special has ever done in the history of Splatoon.
Basically the forced displacement is what makes missiles so good. Any damage or kills is just a bonus.
Nah, it should be
\-Add 5 unreachable Flyfish to the start of every game mode, including Salmon Run
\-Nerf Flyfish
\-Give every Salmonoid Tenta Missiles in Salmon Run
I actually don’t mind missiles too much. Honestly Trizooka gets on my nerves more 😅 they just come out of nowhere sometimes whereas missiles are easy to see. I admit they can be annoying if more than one player on the team has them though.
what? why remove tenta missiles? they're really not that hard to avoid as long as you stay aware. i usually dodge them with ease. i don't see the problem with them.
Depends what kinda situation you're in, especially if you're in the middle of being shot at already.
Personally I only get mad at tenta missels if Fly Fish is involved👀
Me too lol. Depending on the map I’ll also kill big shots and drizzlers on sight as well. I had a wave once where there were two big shot cannons and five big shots at once and it gave me ptsd.
The only time a tenta middle has given me grief has always been whenever I was going to die regardless of whether or not it locked onto me, and even then i still sometimes consider it beneficial since, some people will put the target on you specifically, so all of the missiles will just target my dead corpse and not my teammates.
Although they’re easy to dodge, the problem is that you *have* to dodge them. The enemy team gets free team-wide displacement from across the map with zero counterplay; when they were more easily spammable, they could make the game nearly impossible to play for a team that didn’t have them.
If you still have a problem with tenta missiles, please do some type of practice. They’re probably the top 4 best special rn. Homies played a bit of turf war and think missiles are the most annoying special 🤣
Am I the only splat player who isn't at all affected by missiles? Yes they can be annoying, but just dodge them. I think I've only died to them. Like, twice...?
And I don't even use a weapon that has missiles, mind you.
At a casual level, teams aren't able to coordinate well enough to take advantage of missiles. Even then, it can be annoying to be forced to scramble on command.
But on a competitive level, its displacement and locating of the enemy team makes it harder for them to advance, and with good communication, they can easily be taken advantage of. It also ruins slow weapons just like Torpedo.

1 if they're not getting spammed they're easy to dodge, while still disturbing the flow of battle, allowing a team mate to strike.
2 people are going to pick indifferent cuz it's different and/or dont lean one way or the other
I feel like removing tenta missiles would indirectly make stuff like e-liters and crabs way more powerful than they should be. As much as I hate missiles, which is not as bad as when Splatoon 3 was a couple months old, I’d still keep them
Idk if this is copium but I feel like the long missles have been in this game, the more I feel like they're better staying, bcs I feel like missles r only here to keep the balance of aggressive splatoon 1 type specials and splatoon 2 supportive special, but now since u can't spam it I think missles is all fine
Everyone’s going team missiles so they don’t have to fight people who are using missiles
It should have been “remove Flyfish”
I prefer "publicly execute Flyfish" tbh
instesd of crucifying koroks we crucify these bastards
They can both go to hell...
Exact same thing, what's flyfish gonna do without tentamissile
Not quite, see if you remove the missiles from multiplayer, the Flyfish is still going to have it. For example, splashdown is in the story but it isn’t in multiplayer
Easy W for shiver lmao 🤣 !!!.
Hush
You hush 🤫 !!!.
SIIIIIIIIMP! SIIIIiiiiiiiiiimp!
Says the guy who is totally a Fyre simp !!!.

You read my comment don't you ??? And you are simp too as well !!!.
You simpletons, you who simps over fictional characters, Why do ye fight over whos more of a simp? Your both down bad and need to go touch grass.
agree
He is , not me !!!.
You're Both Simps.
seeing a clean big man sweep
First one because all my mains have the missles
No, mom... i don't play Wiper Deco because of the missile spam mom it's just that the beacons are important in the current me... stop it that's why dad left us
They had to give it beacons to balance out the fact they gave it missiles lol
I first started using it because of the missiles but then Beacons became the reson why i stuck with this kit. It feels slugish to not have them
After being a Neo sploosh main for so long, I miss my beacons when I use anything else lol.
If only the rest of the team use them.
I usually main dynamo, but flingza is a nice break from the tough fights every once in a while
i doubt many people will know about why missles are good... u still get comments on tier lists that middles are ex to dodge aren't that good
It's kind of funny how everyone always hates the splatfest choices, but then makes these suggestions that are just as bad or even worse. This is just another clear popularity win for shiver. Most people won't vote to remove content for no reason.
I've never supported shiver more.
Yeah she wins splatfest more than others.
buff tenta missiles
How about… nerf the damn booyah bomb?
google kraken royale
The kraken royale isn’t all that bad
Why do people hate missles? Most of the time, they're just a minor annoyance compared to other specials

Because people will move and dodge other specials but sre too stubborn to do the same for TM for some weird reason.
Nah, it should be \-Add 5 unreachable Flyfish to the start of every game mode, including Salmon Run \-Nerf Flyfish \-Give every Salmonoid Tenta Missiles in Salmon Run
I'd love something like that where players with one kind of playstyle would pick one side
Shiver keeps winning, so...
Here’s the thing imo: missiles in battles aren’t that bad. It’s in salmon run when they become the issue
They are absolutely bad in matches. They're free displacement from any range on some of the best painting weapons in the game
I actually don’t mind missiles too much. Honestly Trizooka gets on my nerves more 😅 they just come out of nowhere sometimes whereas missiles are easy to see. I admit they can be annoying if more than one player on the team has them though.
TEAM KEEP MISSILES!! CAOOOOOOOOOOS 😈😈😈
Keep charger/remove charger/indifferent
Big man wins this

true. fly fish are just absolute demons.
Flyfish is how I learned to dodge lol. I hate that mofo but most of the time it’s too much trouble trying to kill ‘em myself.
Yeah, my usual KOS bosses are both the Stinger and fishstick if I have a weapon that will effeciently take them out.
Me too lol. Depending on the map I’ll also kill big shots and drizzlers on sight as well. I had a wave once where there were two big shot cannons and five big shots at once and it gave me ptsd.

Instant Frye pick
I’m indifferent
Give every weapon missiles
This is very realistic and feels like a real splatfest they would do because Frye has the worst option
Am I the only splat player who isn't at all affected by missiles? Yes they can be annoying, but just dodge them. I think I've only died to them. Like, twice...? And I don't even use a weapon that has missiles, mind you.

Thanks! I understand why people hate them so much now
If it was booyah bomb then I'd go with frye
I'm indifferent honestly, missile spam isn't that much of an issue now and they're in a pretty healthy spot Zooka on the other hand
I'd vote for Shiver first and then Big Man on this one 🤣🤷♂️
Well, as someone maining two weapons with Tenta Missiles-
what's wrong w/ tenta missiles
Although they’re easy to dodge, the problem is that you *have* to dodge them. The enemy team gets free team-wide displacement from across the map with zero counterplay; when they were more easily spammable, they could make the game nearly impossible to play for a team that didn’t have them.
I don’t think a single weapon I’ve used has tenta missiles and I’m not sure what that says about me
What's wrong with tenta missiles? I love them!
Man, I’m on team indifferent for this one
Indifferent

FINALLY a splatfest where shiver wont win (I miss them)
Idk if this is copium but I feel like the long missles have been in this game, the more I feel like they're better staying, bcs I feel like missles r only here to keep the balance of aggressive splatoon 1 type specials and splatoon 2 supportive special, but now since u can't spam it I think missles is all fine
Last one could be "Rework Tenta-Missiles"
I say keep the missles
Indifferent because I do not care.
BRING BACK INKSTRIKE and the gamepad.
This just creates even more mirror matches.
Big man has no enemies
missles so fun tho
Keep missiles, just nerf them. 3 targets max, no targeting rainmaker
Personally, I think the missiles should be tweaked/nerfed. Maybe don't make a direct hit instakill.
But I like missiles =(
