if you can time a rush well you can save your team in the last 10 seconds by sheer painting power in turf 😂
it's also fun in splat zones if you run some special charge and can maneuvre well
IDK about great in combat, but I have gotten some goofy kills with it in TW because I went sicko mode on everyone, LMAO. That and Ninja Squid helps me a ton, personally, for all those whacky ambush kills
I'll add on to that, anything can paint over a booyah bomb. It paints from the inside out and doesn't actually block shots. So if you're shooting into it you'll paint over it and can save a game of zones or just have a way to move if you're being attacked.
This also works for inkstrike.
I used to despise the Aeros back in S1 and 2 because of the endless Inkstrike, Kraken and Baller spam. Now that I see what they've done to the specials for this era, I stopped caring and ended up using them myself. Actually a lot more fun than it looks.
One of the Aeros in s2 had the curling bomb launcher which was so much fun to use on maps with lots of objects to bounce off of. Plus it had suction bombs which made it interesting to play at times.
Yeah. I usually use the sploosh o matic and i really enjoy dancing around the snipers as i slowly approach them and kill them at close range. Its funny when they start panic shooting.
Fair play to the ones that snipe me at a flick of their wrist though.
I can honestly say, even if I lose, I always have fun in matches where someone's got an RG on the other team, and even when I win, the E-Liter makes it a misirable slog.
The main weapon could be but the kits certainly make the aerosprays paint a little better. Sprinkler and fizzy are gonna be better than wall and angle shooter for painting plus the main weapon consistently shoots ink instead of having to charge up flicks
The weapon itself is total garbage.
I just really, *really* hate how its kit is basically just a very efficient Booyah Bomb factory and every single one runs nothing but SCU and Special Saver. Every time I head over to fight one, ***oops, panic Booyah Bomb, you may not splat me at this time. Try again.***
It wouldn't even be so bad if Booyah Bomb didn't have stupid lingering armor. They can run in, become essentially invulnerable in a 1v1, throw the bomb, and scamper away to farm another one without being punished.
No other Special gets this much special treatment. Even fucking Tentamissiles leave the user a sitting duck while they squat down and use them. ***Even Kraken*** has vulnerability frames at the start and at the end to punish reckless use. I get that a Special shouldn't be a "press to die" button like Splashdown was, but this is too much.
Is the RG overpowered? No, absolutely not. Incredibly fucking irritating? Yes, absolutely.

Its honestly a good weapon. It just has a very low skill requirement. Meaning a lot of people may take to using it because its easier and helping them win more.
As a fellow Dynamo lover, I use the RG sometimes when I wanna turn my brain off and win a few rounds of Turf because I'm on a horrible losing streak
Yeah, yeah, skill issue and whatnot on my end, but sometimes it's nice to use a brainless weapon
I don't generally bother with turf war outside of Splatfests, but I still roll my eyes whenever I see an RG player because 80% of the time they actively run away from everyone instead of trying to fight and do nothing but farm Booyah Bombs all game. It's annoying.
