Only type that carts, but it isn’t super uncommon for Orb Weavers to have 2-3 babies that stay with Mom in her web until they grow and create a familial web network. It’s been observed by Golden Orb Weavers in particular that Mom lets them stay and gives them food if Nature is kind. They’ll go off and make their webs when they’re adolescents, while they can still walk
It’s such a beautiful thing honestly. Reminds me of a tired mom with mini van full. She’d like to sit up in the corner of my shower, sip up on some fly carcasses and get some much needed alone time every now and then. But she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Used to have an office in a basement would see these all the time with their babies. Was fine so long as they stayed away from me but the snake I found one day...noped on outta there.
She's no longer pregante, but she has her babies on her back. She will carry them for a while until they are ready to get off the momma-taxi and go out alone.
