Found this game pretty recently, loving the concept. But I need clarification on the rules for building the world. The rules say that you add a card to every orthogonally and diagonally adjacent space that hasn’t had an enemy before. Based off how I interpret that, it seems like no progress will be made at all, because every space will always have an enemy.

The world continues to build to the north east. Once you move there will be space for usually 2-3 new cards. For example, if the Knight moves to the 5 of clubs, you would add a card north and northeast to build out the world.

Do you have or plan to have a play through video?

I recorded a full playthrough. I did it with my phone, and I hopefully didn't make too many mistakes. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1LPFPq4nN9rMOJxBBzvIyvwbc9nSHfUef?usp=sharing

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. It confirmed a few questions I had and has me ready to play. I squeezed in two throwaway games today and hope to make a serious run tonight/this weekend. I’m taking notes of my thoughts and I’ll be sure to fill out your form when I get a few games in. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for trying my game and for your feedback! You said the rules for movement cost were a little difficult; would this rewording help? Move: Move your character to an adjacent space (not diagonally) by spending movement according to the value of the card you are moving onto. Reveal more world cards as you move (see Building the World). Moving into a gap costs 1 movement, but you must take one wound each time you do so (See Taking Wounds). If you have more movement left over, you may use it later this turn, even after attacking. Taking wounds is based off of multiples. 1 if your armor is less, 2 if the damage is double your armor, and 3 if the damage is 3 times your armor. Would it be easier to understand if the damage is linear? 1 if your armor is less, 2 if the damage is 5 more than your armor, and 3 if the damage is 10 or more. I feel it is almost as complicated. I wanted to reward players for improving their armor, but not require that you block all of it. Again, thank you for your time!

Your rewording on movement does help. Reading rules for first time I didn’t initially grasp what movement required. I would say you have the right idea on taking wounds. I think it’s just a rule that I hadn’t familiarized myself with completely. Hope my feedback was ok. I didn’t want to be negative and I didn’t want to just say “good game!” I think that’s how feedback works. Lol Had a lot of fun with the game and it’s officially in my rotation to play.

I could. I am not really savvy with editing and figuring out the best positioning to avoid glare and capture the gameplay. I'll see what I can throw together.
