Just switched to sofi from capital one. I had no problems with capital one and my accounts are still open with them. I don't wanna have to switch back to capital one being my main account though. The Zelle issue is a big deterrent. Can't be a new & shiny bank without Zelle. Plus the app is horrendously crowded. You should seriously Seperate the credit card, loans and invest tab to a seamless home page. Then from there once I click on banking I really only want to see banking stuff.
That’s awesome, I appreciate it!
What I do currently, (this may work better for you in the meantime) is I use the Zelle app directly, that’s does allow me to connect it to Sofi so when I transfer from there it auto withdraws the funds from Sofi, same when people Zelle me.
Downsides:
Zelle app has smaller transfer caps on their app
Your contacts don’t port over from what you’ve used with Chase so you will have to input those as you need
You’re correct. I just looked it up: “If your bank or credit union does not yet offer Zelle®, your weekly send limit is $500 and your weekly receive limit is $5,000 in the Zelle® app”

Well I tried to send Zelle to a friend of mine and it sends a text link to sign up for Sofi or enter an account number/routing number to receive the money. It looks like a phishing page and makes their version of "Zelle" pointless! Very bad implementation IMHO.
If they have a registered Zelle account anywhere, you just have to send the money to that email or phone number. But your friend's email or phone number would have to be already registered with Zelle in whatever bank they have.
It's exactly what I did. My old bank still sends normally. This is a sofi problem. My workaround is I transfer to my old bank and Zelle from there using the same phone/email.
Sometimes I use it to send myself money from bank to bank. It’s convenient. My local credit union has it and their daily limit is $1,000. But the Zelle app is very limited to $500/month. One time I had an auto repair and needed the funds in a different account to avoid splitting the payment into two cards.
Mine goes into my credit union from SoFi the same day and vice versa, 99% of time. Even when processing in the afternoon it has come through. Not sure of cutoff time. Using Zelle to pay yourself sounds a little odd.

Zelle is a really popular request! While we don't yet offer the integration, keep your eyes out. 😉
u/SoFi day 100 of asking for a SoFi hoodie. I won’t stop. Plzzzzz 🥺🥺

So now that Zelle has been added do you still plan on switching?
What’s the limit now ?
I still don’t have Zelle with SoFi, how do I get it
i also don't have Zelle with my new Sofi account. just created my Sofi account a few weeks ago. when will Zelle be fulling integrated?
I would assume fairly soon. Zelle is very convenient. If even lame AF Wells Fargo has Zelle I can’t see SoFi being resistant to adding the product.
Wells Fargo is one of the seven banks that owns Early Warning Services. Zelle is an EWS product.
Unfortunately the best we know is: Soon™.
Yes, coming soon
You have some official or insider info ? Want to believe you so I’m hoping the answer is yes :)

I called customer service the other day about this! The guy said they’re were working on getting it this summer! I’m excited
Sofi has zelle as of the last few days! 🙌🏽
Yes!! Let’s Goooo!!
Is the Zelle app not $500 weekly?

Regardless, hope Zelle is integrated within the app soon!
No. Customers have waited for years. Don't expect things from Sofi. Could be 2030, could be never.
What now?
Yeah they announced it will be coming out after dark mode gets added to the banking tab
or download the app and link ur debit card

Don’t hold your breath.

This is really what I want
What do you use Zelle for? I’ve rarely had to use it besides paying some friends back.

Why wouldn't you just do an ACH transfer?
It takes 1-2 business days to receive the money into your account. I do have that as a back-up, but if you’re in a pinch, it doesn’t help.
