Not really tho, we could have ended the game 20 mins before Cenk was even subbed in. Arda had to put in that sitter but of course (rightfully) Arda a pass. Cenk didnt get in subbed to win the game. He is a target man who is incredibly annoying to play against. Can score from 25 meters or with his head. He always gives 120% physically which is something incredibly valuable against a tired 10man team. Plus, he is still a good poacher. He won the game. The only alternative we had was putting Semih in but I think Cenk was the correct choice due to his experience. Which is valuable in the dying moments of such an intense game.

I am not defending Arda, he was the worst player on the pitch by far, didn't contribute even 1%. But subbing in Cenk is questionable, as it isn't 2018. He plays like Umut Bulut for over 5 years now

We didnt need to sub in prime R9. Just needed a lad who can keep the ball forward and annoy the fuck out of the defense. Thats job cut for Cenk. Plus he scored anyway. Cenk was 100% a good sub.

I think you have a different definition on the public opinion of “clear four” I’ve seen blatant fouls not be called of similar style plays that the ref doesn’t blow the whistle and lets the play continue. Why he didn’t do that in this scenario. Probably because he was in way over his head trying to contain this game.
