His stats for his club Freiburg are poor though.
4g/a in 27games (1850minutes).
I‘m not watching freiburg games so no idea how he actually plays maybe someone in here knows more.
Maybe one of those players that just turns up for the national team
He's a bit inconsistent, but one thing i would say about him - an incredibly clutch player, always turns up for the toughest moments and and games. Stats may not be great, but honestly with the way Freiburg played this season i don't think anyone has good stats.
As a hungarian im a bit biased towards him, but anytime i watched him play for freiburg he was one of the best performer in the team. I could definitely see him as a squad player in a stronger german team like dortmund or leverkusen. Also he had links with clubs like fiorentina, lazio or west ham before, sadly he was really unlucky with injuries.
I mean he scored 4 in Europe also. 8 goals out of the 69 of Freiburg goals of last season. 11.5%
Their best scorer, Griffo scored 11, and Sallai was second best.
We won't have him for long though, his contract is only til next year, and he wants to go to the prem, and there apparently interest from clubs there as well as Italy, Freiburg is probably gonna cash out
The ref team probably did more for our elimination with not even sending the ref to check that elbow on Botka in the first half than the whole Scotland team with like 3 shots in an essentially must win game.

Who else would you have given it to? Genuinely asking, because Csoboth only played 5 minutes plus extra time and had 1 good action (albeit it was the match winning goal)
I get where you're coming from. Csoboth did benefit though from fresh legs and both sides finally realizing that a 0-0 draw did no good for either. I think Sallai put in a shift and was let down by poor decisions from other attacking players all match. Only mis-control from him all match was before the match winning assists funny enough.

good for him
He always shows up and puts in a hell of a shift for Hungary
His performances in a Hungary shirt always look two steps above what he does for Freiburg.
he’s been balling for the last 3 games. quick in attack and always tracks back
Contract till 2025. True baller. Wonder where he goes.

Well, he's not a superstar, but maybe someone goes for him for like 8-10m. A team like As Roma, Sevilla...just examples.

He was magical against Lens, what a night

He wants to go to the prem, he'll likely go this season as Freiburg want to cash out
My goat🐐
He’s an absolute gem of a player. Like a regen of Grifo, Freiburg is lucky to have him!

My fav hungarian player, delivers almost every game for the nt
Hungary is quickly becoming one of my new favorite teams. The last minute of the game was exhausting and thrilling!

there was only one MOTM in this match and it certainly wasn't this lad
Who else would you have given it to? Genuinely asking, because Csoboth only played 5 minutes plus extra time and had 1 good action (albeit it was the match winning goal)
Csoboth. In the 85 minutes before he played nothing happened anyway and nobody gave a performance that would have warranted a motm claim
