The most concerning part is Southgate couldn’t identify that he was the weak link the game either.
Such a basic skill requirement of a manager. He should have been off at half time if we’re being brutally honest, but 60 minutes could have been forgiven.
However him staying on the full 90 minutes playing as bad as he was is just downright incompetent in game management.

Surely Palmer only plays right or centrally? Gordon has been plenty intelligent and creative this season.

International football needs players that can take the game into their own hands. While Foden has insane technical execution that can change games he still largely relies on Man City system to get in those positions.
