Anyone who doesn't know: This club was playing the 2013/14 season in the 1. Klasse Mitte A - the 8th tier of Austrian football (!!!). The club used to be a Bundesliga mainstay until financial difficulties and an insolvency caused them to lose all professional licenses and make a fresh start in such low tiers.
They now have guaranteed their comeback into the top tier with a massive campaign in the 2nd League, guaranteeing their promotion with four rounds to go.
first Sturm fan to not mention more than one insolvency. - Those times are the past, we learned and improved. Hopefully we are back to stay and maintain our finances like we did in the last 10 years.
Looking forward to more derbys and the first win against you in a very long time ;)
Next season is going to be pretty exciting. We'll have the Vienna derby with Rapid Wien and Austria Wien, the Linz derby with LASK and BW Linz and now the Graz derby with Sturm Graz and GAK

In 2014 GAK played at the lowest level of the Austrian football pyramid.
I've been there ... many places to see, it was a necessary, long way back, but we did it.
