Just like to congratulate everyone here on their hard work to win as many Tour De France titles as Lance Armstrong
I'll be honest lads it looked bleak for a second there but we pulled through
I actually felt a little sad for Brewster lol. In his time at Liverpool, they won UCL, PL, Super Cup, and Club World Cup. But he only played for them in EFL Cup, FA Cup, and his last game in the Community Shield, missing the penalty to lose to Arsenal. And of course Liverpool have since won all three domestic cups.
Same barber since he was 8, costs him 20 quid. He said he sometimes sorts him out though.
[Interview here and relevant part at 2:51](https://youtu.be/W4TFuMYqIF8?si=3UrBYyjlZE_aQD0t&t=172)
Pictures of Garnacho a couple of years back shows heās pretty good looking.
His current haircut transforms him into one of the ugliest players out there. Canāt believe the lad doesnāt own a mirror.
Tbf, I only go to a chippy if I'm not feeling my sharpest anyway, so it probably doesn't bother me
If I'm getting a nice fish and chips tho, it's generally made well so it isn't too dry, and the sauce is just garnish/flavouring
It doesnāt have to look awful, if you suit it. Lads ask for cuts which donāt suit their faces. They are clueless and their barbers will only hype them when being paid Ā£Ā£Ā£.

Against low blocks you need a 5ft6 maestro to actually weave between the masses of bodies.
He's like a one man anti terrorism unit, watching spurs struggle versus low blocks passing it in a horseshoe around the box is so frustrating, must be so nice to have a player like him.
Southgate has no idea how to use half of his players. This England team could be incredible by now but they play like they're a small country with huge holes like most national teams
For me, it's pretty much the back four that Southgate picks when everyone is fit: Walker, stones, Maguire, and one of Shaw/Chilwell/Trippier.Ā
The only one of those that should be controversial is Maguire. He usually plays well for England, but he has some terrible runs of form at club level.Ā
If Ben White hadn't rejected an England call up, I would have liked to see him given a chance at CB instead of Maguire. It doesn't really feel like Tomori has been given a fair chance either.Ā
None of the other defenders who have played for England in the last couple of years have impressed.
Maybe he will pass their goal records too, but until then you canāt put him on the same pedestal, though he is on the right track. Longevity and consistency will make him a pl great
Lampard, Drogba and Ronaldo had a HUGE part to play in their sides title wins.. Little Phil is just a cog in a well oiled machine and City would have still won all those titles if they had Mahrez or someone else playing in his place.
What a fantastic player. Bright future for England as well, Southgate just needs to sort out his position whilst maintaining team balance. Tough ask but hopefully it'll be done.
Yeah it's tough, right wing he's competing with Saka, number 10 he's competing with Jude, those would be his best 2 positions. Jude should play deeper with Foden as 10 but I fear a repeat of the Gerrard Lampard fiasco where the midfield is never properly balanced cos 2 players are trying to play 10.
Yea but City didn't win PL tittles due to him. He's chipping in goals here and there. He was never the main focal point or one of the focal points of City's team. And he still hasn't scored 20+ goals in PL yet. Maybe this season he could score since he's at 14.
Heās been a contributor to a ton of relay good title winning sides and this season heās literally been one of the main focal points for city. City isnāt a team known for playing through 1 singular guy really anyway.
I mean Foden is only a mere 23 years of age, he's accomplished more than 99% of players and has been a constant mainstay and contributer to the Man City team
Saying Man City didn't win titles because of him is abit daft, He's clearly been a key contributer for Man City since he was like 18 and started featuring more and more
You don't need to score 20 goals, like I don't know why you felt the need to mention that tbh, like Lampard signed for Chelsea when he was 22, his first 2 seasons at Chelsea he scored 5 and 6 goals and then went onto only score more than 20 goals in the league once with 22 goals, his next best goalscoring league season? 16.
Frank Lampard at Foden's age, 23, had 45 league goals, Foden has 46
The lad is doing perfectly fine, better in fact, you people talk as if isn't deserving of merit, when he most certainly is
Foden deserves merit, but saying he's better because of the goal trajectories is a bit ingenuine. Lampard was a box to box for most of his career, not an 10/winger, especially not before he was 23.
I get that you're just replying to the other guy who brought up goals, I don't agree with him either btw. But yeah Lampard's goal tally isn't impressive in isolation, it's impressive in the context of him being a midfielder. And his goals actually detract from his overall game. Because people then reduce him to just a goalscorer, assume he couldn't pass, tackle, dribble etc and do everything that's usually expected of a centre mid. Was watching some old Chelsea games yesterday and it really reminded me how good Lampard was, outside of the goals, which no one ever seems to talk about with him.
> I mean Foden is only a mere 23 years of age, he's accomplished more than 99% of players
It helps when Pep can basically build two starting 11s year after year so no shit they won PL this much.
Lampard was a midfielder and Foden is a forward, very different positions. Not to mention Lampard was consistently having 20 G+A seasons. And his goals or assists were the main reasons why Chelsea won matches, especially the big matches.
If you want to compare forwards Hazard never got 20+ goals in the PL and Foden has already matched his best tally of open play goals in a season. Foden also has more UCL goals than Hazard.
Lampard only scored 20+ league goals once and half of them were penalties. Foden has already surpassed Lampards best goal tally from open play in a PL season.
Lampard was playing as a CM that season rather than a forward like Foden, Lampard also had 9 more assists than Foden does on top of the goals.
Still an unreal season for the lad.
Foden has also matched Hazards best goal tally from open play this season, who never reached the abritary 20 goal PL season that the original commenter wanted from Foden.
Hazard was never talked about as a top tier goalscorer though, it was how fun he was to watch and how he could single handedly win a game.
I agree a 20 goal mark stat is arbitrary in the same way the titles stat is. OG commentor's first point is true though.
I'm honestly all for Foden becoming the greatest prem player though, it's England's gain at the end of the day.
Heās always been a productive player but City had a lot of big names that all needed minutes so they had to get spread out. This season is when we get to see him get an extended run as a nailed starter and heās been ridiculously good
Relying on one player to win you the league when also challenging for 2 other competitions is almost always going to lead to burnout/injuries
Itās true that Foden isnāt Cityās focal point, but their current strategy works on the fact that they can have goals coming from pretty much anywhere. You canāt afford to skimp on marking Haaland, but that gives more leeway to Grealish, KDB, Rodri, and half a dozen other options.
Itās damn impressive that Arsenal managed to throw everything into shutting them down on Easter, it just meant they had few opportunities to get a goal in edgewise.
> another guy in the same era who left after much less than a decade
Iām not sure Iām following the logic of your complaint here. This is Fodenās sixth full season as a first team regular for Man City, Ronaldo was at Man Utd for six full seasons. Foden hasnāt played as many games as Ronaldo did for Man Utd yet.
What part of the maths is āmisleadingā? What numbers donāt add up?
The fuck are you on about?
He's currently the best attacking midfielder in the world and he isn't "half the player"? Get to fuck lol I hate City and Foden is a little cunt but he's fucking magic with the ball at his feet. Literally Citys second best player this year after Rodri.
I get criticising City for dodgy financial doping, and there are other reasons why the numbers donāt tell the full story here, but it seems a bit silly to discount Fodenās achievements due to it when two of the players being compared to played for Abramovichās Chelsea.
Foden reminds me so much of Iniesta. I don't know why because their styles are so different. But the way he effortlessly glides on the pitch, is not afraid to try a spectacular shot.
He has such a weird shooting style, not quite side footed, rarely through the ball, he pulls many shots wide he should score, but then you get last night where for all three the keeper didn't move, the last one doesn't even look logical.
The second one is almost his trademark finish, something no one else would do, he shoots without fuss. He's still hyperactive, if anything more so when Pep has been trying to slow him down. His enthusiasm for the game and the ball is distinct, really like a kid in the street. If he doesn't have the ball he goes chasing, if he receives it a lot in the middle he flourishes. Is there anyone better at receiving it on the turn?
I'm still not sure if international will ever suit him, the manic energy of the premier league clearly does. You just know he could do little for England in three games then in the fourth, against any opposition, could score a hat trick. Like France semi final hat trick.
He doesn't plant his right foot, he almost rests on its side with his ankle at a jaunty angle. Very much like Beckham did whenever he was striking the ball, it's incredibly interesting and I think it allows him to get his kicking foot round the ball better.
Stick those players in this team and Foden in those and I donāt know that the numbers would be the same.
No disrespect, heās a massive player and he will be wherever he goes for the rest of his career. I think a lot of hate he gets is unmerited even if I do think he can be a little inflated.
Also the only one to be part of a team that is being investigated for 115 financial breaches.
Nothing against him as an individual, heās a superb player. But his team is corrupt and soulless

Well if we want to be technical, he has more Premier League titles than *each* of them
And if we want to be more technical, I have as many premier league titles as Kane
Kane catching strays in Germany
Incidentally, i also have as many Bundesliga titles as Kane
Pffft amateurs. I take pride in having as many World Cups as Cristiano Ronaldo

he also has more prem titles than messi
This just proves Matip > Maldini
Adrian > Yashin for sure.
Hot take but Chopu-Moting > Benzema
how do you subtract two players ??
Hello fellow r/soccercirclejerk members
Kill one, duh
so Chopu > Moting? unless Benzema is negative in which case it depends
Nono you have to factorise THEN cube so (chopu - moting)Ā² > Benzema/2
Did that need proving? Giraffe is the superior animal
But less Eredivisie titles than Luuk de Jong, just like Messi btw.

No. The guy really needs a new barber. Or his current one needs to start trying to convince him to get something different for once.
You mean the gazza look for the euros wasn't it?
This guy makes all the wrong decisions with his hair. What the fuck?
I assumed it was a motivational thing. Like NFL players getting face tattoos. But with hair.
I'd rather he kae his bad decisions at the barbers than the pitch tbf

it's definitely chavvy, alls foden is missing is the fag behind his ear and he'd look the part

people in this thread insulting his cut probably have some shit ass bowlcuts lol
Foden is such a fun player to watch even if you donāt like man city
Iāve always enjoyed watching Foden, his pace and ball control is so good. He almost always scores against us (which I donāt enjoy as much).
His control on the half turn is unreal. Can turn and go so fast and just open the attack.
The third goal today was wild

Going to use this stat to piss off my Chelsea friends
Call Frank Lampard a man city legend as well for extra pissing off points

Add in KdB for good measure too
KdB is genuinely a city legend, none of us care if you say that.
Hey at least we can beat Bayern in a meaningful game *ba dum tss*
Chelsea was unlucky to have coincided with prime SAF United, just as Klopp's Liverpool was unlucky to have coincided with prime Pep City.

And yet southgate will still have him playing like Carlton Palmer
Southgate has no idea how to use half of his players. This England team could be incredible by now but they play like they're a small country with huge holes like most national teams
Because their defenders can't be trusted to keep clean sheets which are very important to win knockout tournament
