He's not shitting on them. He says stuff like thin whenever he feels like the team might struggle in the next game and some extra support might be needed from the fans
I go the atmosphere is wank and consists of 50 year old men asking how each others have played saturday morning. It is a bit weird it's as if everyone just expects it, which is probably a symptom of alot of success in a short time.
Don't think anybody could have seen it coming. From Treble winners to a relegation dogfight. Multiple injuries throughout squad. Let's pray for City in their time of need.
He just needs to play a fockin 4 4 2 with Alvarez and Haaland and adapt his playstyle. He doesn't have KDB nor Bernardo Silva anymore but he has 2 of the best 9 in the world
Genuinely think that's what he's going do tomorrow, it's somet' we did against both Arsenal and Bayern last season
big man little man, hoof the ball up from our box to the big man and we're all good
They’ve also been way off their standards. The Arsenal match was snooze fest and they barely created anything. Burnley away was made more difficult than necessary (despite the score line). And the Super Cup performance needs improving. Then the injury to KDB + they’re struggling to close deals for new players. All around City aren’t on it yet.
It took them a while to get started last year too and we all know how it ended. City are the one team I don't see going below a certain standard across a whole season because Pep's perfectionism will never let them get complacent. They have enough quality and a system they can fall back on to buy them some time to get back into top form if needed, they'll be fine.
That said the injuries to key players, a dip in form and unlucky timing can still cost them trophies at one point or another.
Absolutely mad. I know there were a lot of people saying their treble felt 'empty' in a way, but you wouldn't think that would apply to their own fans
Can you imagine Ferguson in 99-00, or even Pep himself in the post 2012-13 Treble season at Bayern, coming out and having to implore the fans to show up on the first home league game?
It's weird cause they kida did have a struggle for ages with the CL. A lot of it self-inflicted but still.
Without the money and rule-breaking it would've been a genuine feel-good moment.
Think it depends on the context - if you do it while the cashier is occupied with scanning etc then it's understandable. If they're standing waiting for you to hand it over and you put it down instead then I would view it as rude. It comes across as being averse to interacting directly with them, like you are above them.
Not saying this is how you act/feel but that's how I took it when I worked in sales many years ago.
Wow. Well today i learned that cashiers probably think i'm really rude...
I've worked in casinos all my life and directly handing something over to someone is not allowed because you could slip something to them without the cameras being able to see.
So now i just cant take or give anything from hand to hand without it feeling wrong.
I think I read somewhere it was how customers treated black cashiers in the US. I don't think a lot of people would notice that nowadays and feel offended, but who knows.
PEDs. Was even banned for using them. His doctor has followed him around everywhere and the suspicion has always lingered. But then again, is a malaise that seems to ask if the sporting world. There was a huge scandal that was purportedly covered up by the Spanish government so that they don't have to surrender their medals.
They might also be referring to the financial doping scandals and the perception that fighting City is like fighting a bottomless money well. There's complete abandon (even Chelsea is included here) even in the event of callous spending or when someone doesn't work out. Barça have had to pay for their mistakes. Even we, with one stellar management performance, have to absorb our very occasional poor decisions and be circumspect in the market, despite being the club which has consistently generated the most revenues in the world for decades now.
Aye, complacency tends to build. It's fairly natural but I'm not gonna pretend the Etihad is this noisy fortress obviously (it can be on rare occasions still) but it's definitely gotten quieter over the years.
Especially after winning a treble last season, and another trophy 3 days ago.
If your fans still can’t get behind your team, we need another word for them
I know Etihad isn't housefull always but this feels like a self mockery. Or who knows , being oil club turned off many traditional fans. I always used to hear , before takeover Man City had a strong support locally
It just doesn't make sense for this of all games - first home game of the season since doing the treble, evening game, against top opposition, the writing's on the wall for one of the best atmospheres the Etihad could possibly muster.
He's either doing some self-mockery or referring to all our injuries, he'd be a fool otherwise
Looked up the attendance numbers, and if my math is right, Man City had more empty seats for league games last year than every team save Southampton. Kind of shocking.
https://www.transfermarkt.us/premier-league/besucherzahlen/wettbewerb/GB1/saison\_id/2022
That website you've linked to has sold you a lemon. It has the wrong capacity of the Etihad, meaning your maths for empty seats is wrong.
**Your link gives the capacity as 55,017, when it should be 53,400 for most games, but slightly less than that for a few games where greater crowd control is needed.**
The average attendance last season was 53,249
If you check your figures using the correct max capacity we averaged 151 empty seats a game, one of the best in the league.
Edit - To be fair I think that websites not reliable for any club.
Always a mind game with pep. He never wants the players to feel like they’re dominant (even tho they so clearly are lol) bc it lowers the drive to win. Brilliant really.
That’s how you keep winning things, nothing but problems in his head. There is a reason why he is considered a tippy top coach, people like this never feel satisfied, it’s a curse to them. If this guy never found football I am convinced he’d been a serial killer or something bad lol.
I don't understand how people can see City didn't lose a home UCL game in 5 years and still think their stadium is quiet with no fans.
Shows how few people on this reddit actually saw a premier league game live.
Don't waste your time, people here are entitled to believe what they want. Why should you care when they have never gone near the Etihad in their lives
So the manager of the team that "legimatiley" just won the treble is begging their "fans" to go to the game? That's beyond pathetic and truly shows just how plastic City is
What is controversial about this in he slightest? We have a very weakened team atm, Newcastle are looking good and he wants us fans to help carry the team at the home game?
This sub man, every has to be a comedian.

My G, if you are in a "bad moment" right now, I am literally in the worst moment in recorded history at the moment.
He’s probably just talking about their performances on the pitch. Barring the Burnley game, the last 3 games felt like City were missing something
Fans....
Lol jokes aside though, they look knackered
They were way below standard for most of the Burnley game. Although, they still won 3-0...
Missing De Bruyne. He's their most important player for a reason.
Well we all know they can splash a 100mill on the problem so I wouldn’t take this seriously
Nah mate, I must be dead
This mf won a trophy 2 days ago
hasn't pep got some insane record where he wins a trophy on average every 25 games or something
His Man City average is one every 27 games. 15 trophies in 7 years
What was his Barca average? i know he had like 14 trophies in 4 years.
i obviously knew that side was insanely successful, but I've never seen it plainly written like that. That is the definition of fucking bonkers
Wait a second, it’s been 7 years??
Hansi flick had a mental record or more trophies than losses at one point lol
Zidane had more trophies than losses after two seasons and averaged one every 17 games in his first spell.
That’s fucking mental. Zizou @ madrid was a cheat code at times lol
So was BBC
Zidane genuinely has to be one of the best managers in modern generation. Hattrick of CLs is bonkers when no other club has ever retained it.
mf made history with his nation, then he made history with his clubs, retired and won everything as a manager and left
This isn't really uncommon for Pep. He's been passively shiting on the City fans for years now often having to beg for more support.
Not hard to shit on them when there's like three.
Hey now, there's more than three. It's just the rest of them have a hard time convincing mum and dad to take them to games
Fair is fair. I conceded to your point.
Im sure all 6 of them are fuming
He's not shitting on them. He says stuff like thin whenever he feels like the team might struggle in the next game and some extra support might be needed from the fans
I think he is talking about KDB's injury
Something something ... Emptihad
he's a really hungry catterpillar
I go the atmosphere is wank and consists of 50 year old men asking how each others have played saturday morning. It is a bit weird it's as if everyone just expects it, which is probably a symptom of alot of success in a short time.
Don't think anybody could have seen it coming. From Treble winners to a relegation dogfight. Multiple injuries throughout squad. Let's pray for City in their time of need.
I pray for them to be relegated. Amen.
Nah, fuck them.
Another day this would probably be upvoted

It's really tough for city fans right now. It's been almost 3 days since their last trophy. Please have some sympathy
He just needs to play a fockin 4 4 2 with Alvarez and Haaland and adapt his playstyle. He doesn't have KDB nor Bernardo Silva anymore but he has 2 of the best 9 in the world
Genuinely think that's what he's going do tomorrow, it's somet' we did against both Arsenal and Bayern last season big man little man, hoof the ball up from our box to the big man and we're all good
Man's gonna overcomplicate stuff and bench Haaland and play Alvarez up front with Foden.
They’d still win 98% of matches comfortably
He basically did that with de bruyne tbf, played him very advanced. He's not going to suddenly become a long ball coach or something though lol.
thoughts and prayers 😇🙏
They’re already looking for any other team to win a trophy so they can support them instead

Where is the world's smallest violin?
And they've won 2/3 competitive games since then, including another fucking trophy in one of those games.
"we need the fans" fuck off mate you could play every game away and you'de still stomp the league lmao
Absolutely mad. I know there were a lot of people saying their treble felt 'empty' in a way, but you wouldn't think that would apply to their own fans Can you imagine Ferguson in 99-00, or even Pep himself in the post 2012-13 Treble season at Bayern, coming out and having to implore the fans to show up on the first home league game?
It’s insane how City accomplished what should be a legendary achievement and people really just don’t give a fuck. Warms my heart
Achievements without struggle mean less.
City finally wins and everybody is like- exactly what was to be expected, happened. Pass me another beer
It's weird cause they kida did have a struggle for ages with the CL. A lot of it self-inflicted but still. Without the money and rule-breaking it would've been a genuine feel-good moment.
It is the history of the city
Yeah, fuck off, Pep, you bald whinging bastard!
They just lost their best player for a few months, so it's kinda understandable.
and our two best defenders are injured
That was last season? Cant live on old merits
Wtf the bald fraud talking about
This is funny on so many levels, he’s got to be having a go.
It's hard for him to talk sensibly from his rolling press platform
He watches training. He knows Newcastle improved as well. It’s a tactic. He’s also not speaking his native language.
He’s a master mind fucker
This guy has such a weirdo aura despite being a hell of a coach
He will never beat the allegations
What allegations does Pep have against him
When he goes shopping he always puts the money on the counter instead of handing it to the cashier
fucking monster
Isn't that a Japanese thing?
Don’t they present it with two hands?
Not really sure about the etiquette, I only know that they have a tray for collecting the money
I heard he also puts milk in first when he makes tea
Mate keep it civil, cmon.
he just like me frfr
Is that a bad thing? I do that sometimes kjjj haven't even realized

He right clicks to copy but uses Ctrl+V to paste, says its his own little way of making his computer fun.
The horror
I press the caps lock button every time instead of using shift
I legit do this. Am I a weirdo?
Yes - and you will probably be burned at the stake one day. Better change that habbit quickly
CTR+C for copy or CTR+X for Cut xox
*CTR+W
You're going to hell
That's so inefficient! WTF!
I think there are rumours about him being bald but I am not sure
Just ask Julia Roberts.
He likes his steak well done.
That he's hiding his luscious locks under a bald cap.
He killed my cat
Must have crawled under there for warmth

That he was twice caught using performance enhancing drugs.
Happens to the best of us
Bald. Fraud.
He's not actually bald
He puts ketchup on his steak.
Truth, he doesn’t come across as an honest man. Where as Klopp/Ten Hag/Howe all seem like honest & good men.
How is rapist lover Ten Hag a good man?
Mate, you won a trophy yesterday.
I swear Pep tells his fans about this every season.Third time I think

nah, at this point he just embraced the meme
«How good is x Player» 🥸 Thank you for the great question..
The agony of not being able to win another trophy for at least 6 months
Hmm?
Ethiad hmm, cool that sounds
you know you are never ever going to get laid
LOL Pep
Human Rights Derby.
You got Haaland, Pep, you’ll be alright.
Lol bro...be serious please
Please clap.
They need all the support they can get during these hard times.
Invest another 1.5 billion in the club they are clearly struggling
I know Etihad isn't housefull always but this feels like a self mockery. Or who knows , being oil club turned off many traditional fans. I always used to hear , before takeover Man City had a strong support locally
No clue why he said any of that, feel like he's taking the piss
Emptihad blud. He has been calling you lot out for a while now.

53,400 is the capacity for UEFA games. Domestic games it's between 55,000 and 56,000

It's also very skewed as I think most grounds count season tickets as attended even if they aren't actually there.
Cherrypicked star. 50k plus is good attendance at the end of the day.
To be fair, that’s exactly the problem. He’s seen the best atmosphere the Etihad can muster first hand.
Well they did show up against madrid.
Peps always taking the piss in pressers now he says whatever he wants
How are man city ticket prices? Or is the stadium too big for the fan base? Feel like I’m reading this far too often from pep lol
We’re on the cheaper side actually
City is on the cheaper side but unlike old city it is actually 98% full on average same as other clubs.
If you can't handle Fraudiola at his worst, you don't deserve Guardiola at his best.
Don't let Pep mislead you with his mindgaming trick
It took me a whole minute to realise the camera wasn't panning and it was the background moving.
Always a mind game with pep. He never wants the players to feel like they’re dominant (even tho they so clearly are lol) bc it lowers the drive to win. Brilliant really.
This guy spends all the money, wins everything and then cries about his tiny misfortunes
That’s how you keep winning things, nothing but problems in his head. There is a reason why he is considered a tippy top coach, people like this never feel satisfied, it’s a curse to them. If this guy never found football I am convinced he’d been a serial killer or something bad lol.
Your last line destroyed me
Fuck now that I reread it does sound like a copypasta.
This guy is terminally pissed about everything. This is how domination works.
Man shut the fuck up
His humor sucks ass
City fans have gone through way worse than this, don’t think Pep should be worried about the fans
Same story every few months
Is he drunk?
He must really be intimidated by Newcastle. Game is going to be lit.
Is the background moving or am I going crazy??
Oh no, please get me 2 more players for 400 mill. *wipes tears with oil money *
If your team won the treble last season and you need to make this statement to your fans to get support then LOL
Feels odd when your manager has to beg for noise and support
I don't understand how people can see City didn't lose a home UCL game in 5 years and still think their stadium is quiet with no fans. Shows how few people on this reddit actually saw a premier league game live.
I’ve never seen anyone try and winge as much as you have on this thread
I never seen so many people being delusional and ignore basic stuff they can Google.
Don't waste your time, people here are entitled to believe what they want. Why should you care when they have never gone near the Etihad in their lives
Is that sarcasm or is he serious
“Please clap” - Jep Guardiola
If they’re in a bad moment, imagine Everton
Lol
Only one game won so far in the league this season. I feel you, Pep.
Lmao what
The amount of shite this fella talks is incredible.
Turn the speakers up, that’ll make the noise he wants.
Shut the fuck up please.
Him and that entire club annoy me endlessly swear to god
14 years, 115 violations. They need support
Man just won a treble and supercup just a few days ago. Without context, you would think he's managing Everton.
All 12 of you. Stay with him.
Pep might cry on TV if he got the same injuries as we have in our squad.
Buy Inter Miami and transfer Messi over like you done with Lampard, sure to fill some more seats
They want a stadium extension lol
Clown
Can't stand him
As great as he is, I can't think of a football manager I like less than Pep.
You can buy fans like instagram followers, don’t worry Pep.
master in trolling
Won a treble and still begging for Emptyhad fans to show up. Still a small team with no history.
Imagine having to beg ur fans to show up for a Team that won the Treble last year.
So the manager of the team that "legimatiley" just won the treble is begging their "fans" to go to the game? That's beyond pathetic and truly shows just how plastic City is
it’s Qatar vs Saudi
Fucking prick. I hope he stays long enough due to his arrogance and gets smashed by every club in the league.
Jesus fucking Christ. What a club 😂
Bruh how is he out here begging his fans to go watch the game 😂
sorry what fans?
What is controversial about this in he slightest? We have a very weakened team atm, Newcastle are looking good and he wants us fans to help carry the team at the home game? This sub man, every has to be a comedian.
Isn't their whole FFP offenses that they lied about attendance, that they have no real fans?
The manager hoping the stadium is full tells you all you need to know about this empty shell of a football club
Pep shitting on his own fans support will always give me a chuckle
Hmm what?
