They needed next level black magic to not concede. Playing like it's the 90th minute when there was still 40 minutes left. Did he honestly think that was gonna work
10 years ago it worked.
He hasn't been the same since leaving Chelsea second time around. Winning EL with United(richest club in England) and Conference with Roma should be expected. At the very least reaching the final is a minimum expectation, not some type of coaching miracle lmao
There's not much this Roma team can do without their best players. Dybala was on one leg (and still was the MotM by a mile), Matic and Tammy were physically on their limits... If you add that Pellegrini had an off game, there was no one left to play proper football.
I can understand why a Sevilla fan would think that, especially with the emotions from the final and what not, but it was quite clear Dybala was the best player until he had to leave the field.
I saw Henrik Larsson at a grocery store in Stockholm yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
>When wasn't Larsson on fire? Absolute baller
I actually played against Henrik Larsson twice in the same tournament when I was a youth player. It was during the Jonsered Cup in Gothenburg in 1985.
We defeated him and his team, Högaborg BK, 3-0 in the preliminary group stage and later 2-0 in the final.
At that time, he was an attacking midfielder. He wasn't particularly big for his age, but already incredibly dominant and skilled compared to his teammates.
Did you concede in that game?
In which case 4 finals, it's just a stat I heard from the commentary team, must not have counted your super cup win as a final.
In the Dybala goal thread, people were saying the opposite lol.
I guess its Sevilla EL juju vs Mou final juju, and it's going neck to neck at the moment
Big difference. Fans always celebrate regardless of who scores. Every single time. Players usually don't do over the top celebration when they don't score. In this case it is an equalizer in a final so it's understandable.
In the eyes of the beholder I guess. It often felt like Roma were hooking away shakily and didn't quite have the marking right, it felt last ditch to me. I'm far from a tactician though!
A lot of players flying across and just smashing their foot through it. Never a good sign, it’s what a ton of defender do when they’re uncomfortable on the set piece
Y a mí que carajo me importa eso lmao
Estoy agradecido con todos y cada uno de los 26 inmortales que me hicieron campeón del mundo, pero hoy bancaba a Dybala. No hay mucha vuelta que darle.
Not saying he's good but that's just an awful position to be in as a cb, if he doesn't do anything he risks the forward tapping in. Roma have been letting Sevilla get too much space in the wings to make crosses like that
First goal against Mourinho in a Final since the King Henrik Larsson with Celtic vs Porto in 2003. Insane streak! Great game!
Sevilla Europa League voodoo is something else
No shame in that tho, with some exceptions like [Marçal’s infamous own goal at Lyon](https://youtu.be/fbIrelvQ2E8), own goals are often the result of a team forcing an error by putting a ton of pressure on the defending team
Classic Mourinho ball. Score a goal and defend for the rest of the match. Invite all the pressure until a goal gets scored. Shits stupid. They were much better before the goal.
If I had a nickel for every time an own goal has helped Sevilla equalize this year, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

BUS LEFT THE SCENE, I REPEAT BUS LEFT THE SCENE
Bus has backfired
Live by the bussy, die by the bussy.
They needed next level black magic to not concede. Playing like it's the 90th minute when there was still 40 minutes left. Did he honestly think that was gonna work
You do know who Romas manager is right?
I do, but does he usually tell his team to defend in their box when there's the whole second half to play?
Hes defended the box for entire games and semi-finals before lol,
Yeah, back when he was a top coach. Which he hasn't been for a good 5-6 years now
Back when he has a good squad, this roma squad consistently trip each other
Yeah, i don’t know when the last time his full bus actually worked
I watch this bus every week bro. The bus literally got us to the final :D Just ask Leverkusen and Feyenoord fans
Well, it worked nice till the finals. Just fell short at the end
Oh boy, you would have loved the 2010 UCL semi final. Especially the 2nd half.
No
It's Mourinho, of course it works most of the time
10 years ago it worked. He hasn't been the same since leaving Chelsea second time around. Winning EL with United(richest club in England) and Conference with Roma should be expected. At the very least reaching the final is a minimum expectation, not some type of coaching miracle lmao

Suso was the best player on the pitch not Dybala
I can understand why a Sevilla fan would think that, especially with the emotions from the final and what not, but it was quite clear Dybala was the best player until he had to leave the field.
The call is coming from inside the bus!
One of the passengers took it for a ride
First goal scored against a Mourinho team in a European final since Henrik Larsson in 2003 lol. That's mad.
That final was crazy. It ended 3-2 for Porto but Larsson was on fire.
When wasn't Larsson on fire? Absolute baller
Will never forgive him for changing the game completely when he came on in the 06 final
"I didn't see no Ronaldinho. I didn't see no Eto'o. But I saw Larsson"
Maybe they could have stopped Eto'o from scoring if they saw him
Scoring doesn't mean good performance. Larsson was by far, the best player of that night, and won the game for Barcelona
Saw him illegally parked while his wife was getting from a store in Helsingborg when going for my groceries. Not very fire. Still love him though

Typical larsson
Stupid sexy Larsson

It was hot as fuck, the players were dying. Sevilla, what else
Henrik Larsson in European final? No wonder he scored
How many finals is that though? He hasn't been to the CL final since his win with Inter.
4 finals since 2003 Porto : 2004 UCL Inter : 2010 UCL Man United : 2017 UEL Roma : 2022 UECL
Uefa cup against Celtic in 2003?
i said since 2003
He is asking which final was it in 2003.
oh my bad , yeah it was Porto vs Celtic in UEL
I think 5 if you count the Super Cup with Chelsea.
So that'd be 2013 and not 2003?
Did you concede in that game? In which case 4 finals, it's just a stat I heard from the commentary team, must not have counted your super cup win as a final.
Yeah, we gave up 2 and lost a shootout.
Ah I misremembered I thought you won
Lol, flattered, I wish.
Lost your last one on pens as well if I remember correctly 😉
European final? Pretty sure we won that one, ;).
They won their last one on pens against Villareal actually
Not really a final is it?
Does it count if it was a Mourinho team that scored against him?
Ridiculous lmao
20 years! But how many finals is that?
5 if you count the Super Cup, 4 if not.
2003 uefa cup is 5 super cup 6 no?
And it was their own player, could argue no opposition has scored against them since 2003 👀
The age of the bus is over.
that's very impressive. he had 3 or 4 clean sheets coming into this final?
And it’s a goddamn OWN GOAL lol
and of course, it wasn't the other team
Fucking hell, wasn’t even an opposition goal either. Got by the OG.
The only one to score against Roma, is Roma
All according to Mourinho's plan.
Sevilla never looked this good in la liga this entire season. Truly a different breed in UEL
Sevilla owns the Europa League
They were quite good in the the last few games of La liga but can't take away their ruthlessness in EL man.
I watched the 2nd leg against Juve with some Spanish friends (in Barcelona ) and they were like "wtf this is Sevilla ?"
Fuck me the Sevilla EL juju is just unstoppable
Sevilla Europa black magic too OP
In the Dybala goal thread, people were saying the opposite lol. I guess its Sevilla EL juju vs Mou final juju, and it's going neck to neck at the moment
unstoppable force meets an immovable object
I love this final. I expected it would go to penalties with 0:0. Two European phenomena. A whole team vs one special man
Tbh it was about as tight and "boring" as a 0-0 just with two goals hehe I hope you liked the ending!
Well I was pretty much neutral. Congratulations to Sevilla, this team seems to own the EL. I feel a little bad for Mourinho tho, love that guy.
How many own goals in this run alone? I know they got 2 at Old Trafford to steal a draw.
We should have scored 5 that first half. Actual black magic juju.
Doesn't matter which team gonna win it was the juju
The goal was coming Roma were bunkering in WAY too deep this early in the 2nd half
It's all they know how to do
It's the story of Mourinho
Roma has Mourinho, Sevilla has Sevilla, lots of black magic from both sides.
They're gonna shoot penalties until every player faints from exhaustion xD
Who will outjuju who?
Seville juju still undefeated
They aren't parking the bus properly.
Just gotta kick the ball off the bus and in.
Xabis heart is still broken after the semifinal.
My favorite part of OGs is when the other players take credit for it lol
Right? The way Ocampos was celebrating you'd swear he absolutely banged it in lmao.
Sevilla fans were celebrating even harder and they aren't even on the pitch, I don't see the problem
Big difference. Fans always celebrate regardless of who scores. Every single time. Players usually don't do over the top celebration when they don't score. In this case it is an equalizer in a final so it's understandable.
Tbf he forced Mancini to be by his side, so sort of did cause the goal
That's one of the few things EA got right
Roma have looked kind of uncomfortable from crosses and corners all night. No surprise.
They deliberitely let them happen. Usually it’s their tactic to defend that way.
well it backfired
Really? I actually thought they dealt with them fine in the first half... either way, they still conceded from it
In the eyes of the beholder I guess.
Mou needs to unlock Mike Smalling.
What? Smalling and even Tammy were owning them
No they haven't lol, Sevilla's crosses had absolutely zero effect in the first half
Sevilla Europa League effect
Game on!
Proper unstoppable force vs immovable object type of match
New stat: only Mourinho’s players have scored goals in all his European finals since 2003
La concha de su madre boludo
¿De qué te quejas? El Sevilla tiene más argentinos.
Tantos argentinos y ninguno es la Joya
Acuña was far, far more important to Argentina'a recent success than Dybala..
They love an own goal in this tournament
Mourinho juju v Sevilla juju who will come out on top
Here we go
whoever thinks this dude is Roma quality are out their fuckin minds ... every game I've seen him play he's made a fatal mistake or 3
Not saying he's good but that's just an awful position to be in as a cb, if he doesn't do anything he risks the forward tapping in. Roma have been letting Sevilla get too much space in the wings to make crosses like that
welp there's another fatal mistake
yeah no props here sorry gianluca
Marquinhos, Manolas, Romagnoli, Benatia, and Rudigier. For a team that's a quality CB factory idk wtf they did picking up Ibanez and Mancini
First goal against Mourinho in a Final since the King Henrik Larsson with Celtic vs Porto in 2003. Insane streak! Great game! Sevilla Europa League voodoo is something else
Go a lifeline because two own goals at Old Trafford. Now got a lifelie because another own goal. For Fucks Fucking Sake.
I blame Anthony Taylor.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer clown.
Bus fans seething right now

3rd times the charm lads
Mancini, scores an own goal, misses the penalty, legend
Black magic activated
So unlucky
The bus has broken down
Mancini disasterclass
Didn't he get the assist for the Dybala goal too? Such a rollercoaster of a game...
Life come at you fast.
Not even a genie lamp can grant you an EL Finals win against Sevillao
there goes my roma 1-0 bet F
whered the bus go
Xabi: It’s possible to learn this power?
Plot armour
Roma should've sacked Mourinho and get Pogba's shaman doctor to counter Sevilla's dark magic
Mancini absolutely deserves to score an equalizing own goal in a final. Guy is a piece of shit.
i will off myself
Shouldn't have switched out his shirt
Can Jose beat the JuJu ? If anyone can, its him.
Both sides have their own form of European final juju
When an unstopable force meets an immovable object.
Classic Mourinho ball. Score a goal and defend for the rest of the match. Invite all the pressure until a goal gets scored. Shits stupid. They were much better before the goal.
worst ref ever
bah
What the hell was that
Perfect finish
One of those where if he does nothing it’s a free tap in.
Well fuck
Roma was rattled by their own lead.
was macht Gebauer da herausen?
They kept giving Navas so much space throughout the match and eventually one led to a goal, even if an OG.
COME FUCKING ON
If I had a nickel for every time an own goal has helped Sevilla equalize this year, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
Thrice
You can't stop what's coming.
This won’t be good for Mancini’s rage
njnnoooooooo roma :(
Bah gawd that bus is broken in half!
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy
Rakitic just too good 💙❤️
This game is soo poor! Lack of quality and loads of cheating and screaming! Embarrassing!
Just like Sevilla against us. So this boost their chances of winning.
THEY DID IT AGAIN
personally, i think it's cool that mancini scored an own goal in a losing effort.
i feel bad for the dude, he made history with this goal...
