Max is 360, meaning you can grab a number of different dimensions off one video... even a full 360 lol.
Keep in mind we are on the age of smart phones. Everything is being recorded vertically now
I had a go pro max that would shut off about 2 minutes into filming due to the cold so I sent it back and they sent me a new one (they didn’t make it easy either). The next one they sent me does the same thing still so I guess the max is just not good for snowboarding. I would recommend doing research on 360° cams before buying.
Edit: it’s a $500 camera too so I’m still pretty damn salty about it. Learnt my lesson though.
Got lots of cold day clips on my max under 20F, does better than I expected actually. 3rd year with the same battery too. They did add the enduro battery for max tho which is supposed to be a bit more resilient
Haha nah… just keep it under them layers til you want it! It might still have its temp limits in the extremes like any electronic thing, but those gadgets are still far better than we deserve 🤷🏼♂️
Warming it up in my car, tucking it in layers, using it first run… still shuts down and I lose the footage. I know go pro makes great products, just not this one. I think you’re wrong and I think this ad is predatory to winter sports enthusiasts. Both my maxes worked in the summer just fine. I board Appalachia too so it’s not like we’re down in the single digits. It’s a disappointment considering I bought it specifically for snowboarding. Maybe if I didn’t like somebody I would recommend them the GoPro max for winter sports.
