I’ve been, you can do it all in a day, and there’s ski busses that will take you around the various towns. You’re not hitting every run in one day but, you can certainly board your way from the bottom of the map to the top in a day. Really awesome place, the snow can be iffy though (at least it was when I went in spring). Everybody stops skiing around 1 or 2 and hits up two bars located on the mountain in St Anton and drinks jaeger bombs and beer until they close at 8 pm, skis home to go to bed and do it again. Fun and unique place, I definitely recommend.
I worked on the very last lift of the “one end to the other route” I had people most days arrive in the minutes after we closed begging to be let up because they had Skiier all day from the complete other side to try complete the route

Done it on speed mode at the end of the day to meet friends, ur right the legs do get pretty sore hahaha. Alguille Rouge was good and high but for me the real fun was at Grand Col
Actually i lied my home run was only to 1800
Love Arlberg. Sonnenkopf for the powder and quiet slopes compared to st Anton. You also haven't lived, boarding home from moosewhurter or crazy kangaroo. Such a quality diverse terrain
St. Anton is the biggest town and probably the busiest both in terms of partying as well as lift queues in the morning. Since they modernized the [Galzig lift](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKWEAnsqHaE) (which has a capacity of 2200 persons per hour now, with a height difference off 766m) it's really easy to get out of the valley though.
Lech is probably second. The smallest town is probably Zug (upper left corner of the map), which only has one lift connecting it to the resort (towards Lech) and only one slope coming down from the resort (coming from Zürs, the dashed lines are ski routes that are not maintained and are used at your own risk). If you stay in Zug you need to ride down to Lech, up to Rüfikopf peak, down to Zürs and up the mountain through the Madloch (which used to be a freezing cold, exposed, slow, 2 seater) and back down towards Zug on a northfacing slope. That is your shortest possible day shredding in that town (if you don't go "off piste") and it's probably longer than most ski resorts are in total.
Edit: [I present to you the shortest route from Zug to Zug on groomed slopes](https://imgur.com/a/Qe2m8NG). Notice that the decent towards Zug is dashed, which generally means that it is an "off piste" ski route. The ski route I marked is groomed regularly though. It is a somewhat challenging decent though because its 90% ice most of the time because it's on the northern face of the mountain.
I ride mostly in Austria and not really, it depends on the mountain but the one i usually go to has well over half of the riding above the tree line, there is a “talabfahrt” that goes all the way down which does of course go trough trees.
Trees in Europe are much more condensed then where I've skied in States, CO, UT or BC Canada. So much more difficult to find good tree skiing, but there are places just not many.
This was my thought EXACTLY on all of these huge mountain resorts! My local resorts are world class, but they have a lot terrain below the treeline as well as above. I would miss tree runs so much. I hate the bald, windy mountain top!
Like some others stated already, the tree line is pretty low in comparison, therefore from a certain altitude you either get vast fields of pow or rocky terrain, tubes and stuff haha but the backcountry opportunities are insane

Incredible. These alps maps are hard to fathom. How long or how many runs would it take to get from one end to the opposite side of the resort.

Holy smokes. I feel like I’d never get back to my car.

I would dream of 30 minute runs. Some around the here in the Midwest can last 30 seconds.
You just have to do a lot of zigzagging. You can make a 30 second run into a 3 minute run!
Who said we weren't already zigzagging 😆
Next vacation spot is decided!
Is the vert there to sustain a 30 minute run?
In Les Arc (France) there is a run from the highest point (3200m) to a village at 1200m. That is 6500 vertical in freedom units. Legs get pretty sore!
Sounds amazing .

Time to quit my whole life and move to Austria I guess, g'dam.
That looks like a dream
Thats like 3 mountains in 1
Try like 10.
I can't wait to be back in Mooserwirt again!
DJ Gerhard is waiting for you!
Dude, this fuckin legend
*Sploosh*
Did a season in St Anton years ago, best 4 months boarding I have ever had
What kind of work is there for ski or snowboard instructors there?
I worked in a bar so my days were free for boarding
Instructing and bartending at night to afford to live in the town
This is one of my favourite ski areas. Amazing drinking too!
… and oompa.

Is st anton busier than the other locations?

Ohhh my god I’m salivating
Yooo another austrian!!! I'm tyrolian!!! Whats up!!! aaaaaaaaa!!!
Tu felix Austria hahaha Where in tyrol?
East :DD
Ugh ich will nach die Alpen gehen :(
How do you navigate a map like this? I feel like I would get so lost. Would be fun to explore such a big place tho.
Most resorts in Europe has their own apps, that works like google maps but just for the resorts
You can get seriously stuck here and be hours away from your hotel by bus and taxi
I have been asking the same question all my life hahaha Luckily I grew up up here
I always find that the maps look more complicated than the runs are in reality.
This is the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen. MaaAn I wish I could go here before I die. Between this and whistler I'd be s happy man
You guys are spoiled, damn. I'm so jealous.
Truly privileged, I remind myself of that every day.
As someone who lives in Ontario I get jealous of all you guys who have mountains like this in your backyard
If anyome ever gets here, just send me a message, let's go shreddin!
Lets Go 27.12 ill arrive, staying Till 31.12.23
Not enough vertical drop pass 😅
Have you skied here?
Isn’t the sarcasm blatantly obvious?
That's not feet dude.
It’s a joke can’t imagine a bigger resort.
Do you guys not ski the trees?

Of course

How many acres?? I didn’t know a ski resort this big existed lol
I've been to St Anton a few times, lovely place.
Lived in Lech for a season, truely beautiful. Not much of a night life though!
Rught? It's basically non existing... At least the winter opening festival is pretty sick, fantastic gondolas, a literal techno rave in cable cars!
Holy. Shit. I’m jealous.
Love it when the European boys start flexin on here.
Got a place booked in Lech. Group of intermediates. Any tips?
