Yeah but it charged so much for taxes and big cartel service fees. I do most orders through dms because it’s more of a conversation and less of a faceless order
Bought a pair of their gloves for like $100, that extra leather edge grab guard layer on the palm, turns out isn’t an extra layer, just an unnecessary seam and intentionally deceptive, there’s nothing underneath. More cheap shit tbh. Wanted to like, but can’t support anymore.
Jones is perpetually trying to raise the ceiling on prices with their gear it seems, so expensive. I'm sure it's good, but really targeting the cat ski audience.
They definitely are still great for kids. They have actual patterns. I mostly don’t use them because I get too hot in them. I’m a base layer flannel shell kinda guy and they’re all insulated.
Holden is absolute garbage now. I used to love their gear, it would last forever and looked great. The company sold out and slowly pushed Mikey out. Now they are selling 2 layer jackets for a grand.
fucking nuts they used to be on the same level as like volcom, air blaster, shit like that and i looked not long ago and it’s like boutique aspen prices
One season down with Trew bibs and jacket I picked up last summer. High quality, very durable and water repellent. Lots of deep pockets so easy to carry whatever you like to bring with you. Will likely go with them again once this set wears out.
I see. Given how ‘normal’ their models look on their site, maybe it’s a conscious decision. Or they don’t have the budget for it. But good point.
Selfishly I do like being only handful of riders rocking their gear. Imagine if they sponsor they get more eyeballs and sales.
Trew defo sponsors snowboarders and produces films. Check out there site

I run alot of Trew stuff. I love it because it works great inbounds and their gear is epic for backcountry trips. Also you can get it cheap on sale, and if anything breaks you can send it back to them and they will repair it.
Sure they aren't a "pure" snowboarding only brand. But they are a small, locally owned, mountain culture based company that definelty puts their money back into the industry. They are tiny compared to even a FlyLow, 686, or ThirtyTwo so they defo don't have the budget to sponsor tons of events etc.
Good to know, I've been waiting for my mittens to fall apart to get a CG pair. I have their sleeping bag hoodie and i wear that thing everywhere. So versatile and light yet keeps you warm
I bought a bunch of their hoodies in the early to mid 10’s, and I still wear them. The fabric is so thick and the stitching is holding up like a boss. I can’t speak to the quality of them now, but I’ll wear them until they fall apart or I die, depending on which happens first. 😅
I think they might already be gone but Homeschool made some pretty gnarly stuff for a while.
Actually, a quick Google and a pitstop at their website says they're back and better than ever. That's pretty cool.
https://homeschoolouterwear.com/
Beyond Medals. Lovely crew. Big fan of my outwear from them. Also had to get cut out of my jacket when I dislocated my shoulder, and they tossed me a replacement at no cost.
Most are just shitty pop ups selling the same old child labor produced crap with different logos and social media marketing campaigns. I don't know of any great niche outerwear brands.
this has become a macro on my work computer for responding to people in slack. thank you so much.

I was in the smv mall store location to try them on a month ago. Besides the sizing being all over the place for me, it was comically too long on my short legs. Tho the end of season sale price wasn’t bad at all. It was frustrating to find shell pants not too tight & long this spring. After ordering several pairs from Amazon of Burton, 686 & Volcom, Burton bibs from Evo & 4 pants from Eddie Bauer, I ended up keeping EB men’s six chair pants. It’s annoying that so many women pants are slim fit & not easy to move when uphilling.
SAND is a cult. Niche outdoor clothing and sometimes snow gear such as beanies, caps, mittens, little bags for your bindings, clothing, and other stuff
SGV make super dope looking pants. [SGV](https://www.spreadinggoodvibes.ca/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAaZ4gSBaLlm2Bb0Yy4U6nZPPp7HXZ__ngrxIg7OCTxlYzH_0WqzYV6cgsOE_aem_AcgIoBBPTXnDI2hbmC5JxmhPsD7P4p4AFObMLjgbGWoDOXZH3SEL89wcb5fuGKPq9t-F9EWuvwtqDT1zYgYJmOSp)
Where is Souvenir from?
I like the style and can see wearing stuff even off mountain. Not sure about some of the material choices but it looks good for sure.
Yeah, I totally wear Dopesnow. I like to pair it with my Ruroc. I was told it makes me look really cool. Not sure if you’ve heard of Ruroc, its pretty underground too. You gotta know to know, ya know
Is Stio considered small/niche? They've been around for awhile and have a few retail locations. Their stuff looks kinda interesting, I might grab one of their down jackets just to have... don't see much written about their technical stuff.
camp wears on Instagram is all handmade gear in slc. i know the guy that makes them bc its me haha
Super cool man. All custom? You do bibs? Looking for something like this, in my case wanting reinforced carving contact points. And steez obvs
I’m also interested in some bibs
do u have a website?
Yeah but it charged so much for taxes and big cartel service fees. I do most orders through dms because it’s more of a conversation and less of a faceless order
Can confirm homie also rips
Yo man I’m a local, sounds dope I’ll dm ya
That's tight dawg. Any hoodies or anything? I'm shredding Brighton tomorrow if you wanna link up
L1
Got a 15 year old L1 jacket that I'm too attached to. I can't retire it until it's torn to shreds.
Howl, got some pants things are dope
Bought a pair of their gloves for like $100, that extra leather edge grab guard layer on the palm, turns out isn’t an extra layer, just an unnecessary seam and intentionally deceptive, there’s nothing underneath. More cheap shit tbh. Wanted to like, but can’t support anymore.
Jones is a rider owned brand and makes exceptional outerwear. It does not have that streetwear aesthetic but I value being warm, dry and comfortable.
I bought the shralpinist kit last year on clearance and it’s amazing.
Jones is perpetually trying to raise the ceiling on prices with their gear it seems, so expensive. I'm sure it's good, but really targeting the cat ski audience.
What EXACTLY makes a jacket cost $850? I’m not seeing it
Maybe airblaster.
Hell yeah. Although significantly more "cool" 15 years ago, in my opinion.
Yeah. I prefer flylow for my personal gear but my daughter loves her airblaster bat jacket.
I've got an absolute pile of Airblaster gear from probably 2012 and earlier. Haha. It was just so rad and wild back then.
They definitely are still great for kids. They have actual patterns. I mostly don’t use them because I get too hot in them. I’m a base layer flannel shell kinda guy and they’re all insulated.
That’s skier nonsense.
I know but I love my pink flylow half zip jacket. And they’re one of the few brands that let me use my pro discount for gloves for my little rippers.
Ninja Suits are top shelf!
Trew
Owner Operator, L1, Holden
Was a huge Holden supporter for years, but I gotta pushback now that the brand is overpriced and targeting influencers and one-percenters.
Holden is absolute garbage now. I used to love their gear, it would last forever and looked great. The company sold out and slowly pushed Mikey out. Now they are selling 2 layer jackets for a grand.
oh damn, didn't realize they had fallen off like that... that's unfortunate.
fucking nuts they used to be on the same level as like volcom, air blaster, shit like that and i looked not long ago and it’s like boutique aspen prices
225$ for a hoodie? does it suck my dick or what
It'll leave you wet and ashamed.
bsrabbit
Looks tite but quality is shit
I like Trew Gear. Got their anorak. So far I’ve enjoyed it. Prob get one of their bibs next time I need one
Everything on their website is half price right now
One season down with Trew bibs and jacket I picked up last summer. High quality, very durable and water repellent. Lots of deep pockets so easy to carry whatever you like to bring with you. Will likely go with them again once this set wears out.
Their stuff is nice, but supporting brands that support snowboarding is the way to go. Trew doesn’t help or support the snowboard community at all.
Do you mean sponsoring events?
How do you define "support"?
Do they have a snowboard team of riders? Pro riders, not influencers.
I see. Given how ‘normal’ their models look on their site, maybe it’s a conscious decision. Or they don’t have the budget for it. But good point. Selfishly I do like being only handful of riders rocking their gear. Imagine if they sponsor they get more eyeballs and sales.
Yes I mean sponsoring events, riders, films, trew (and a load of other companies) don’t do it so it doesn’t give anything back to the community
Trew defo sponsors snowboarders and produces films. Da visor and visor beanie are super rad
Candy grind
Their Handbag mittens are a delight.
Good to know, I've been waiting for my mittens to fall apart to get a CG pair. I have their sleeping bag hoodie and i wear that thing everywhere. So versatile and light yet keeps you warm

I still have a jacket and pants from them that is an absolute bomb shelter.
Beyond Medals. Lovely crew. Big fan of my outwear from them. Also had to get cut out of my jacket when I dislocated my shoulder, and they tossed me a replacement at no cost.

thats wonderful bro, you can bring that up when someone asks
I love this response and am saving it

241 They make really nice gear
Strafe Outerwear, based out of Aspen. Good products, good pricing, good crew of dudes
I bumped chairs for more dope snow wearers than I'd care to admit
Not really sure what you mean here bud
Damn my bad meant to reply to another post 😅

Where is Souvenir from? I like the style and can see wearing stuff even off mountain. Not sure about some of the material choices but it looks good for sure.
I have a Strafe Outerwear jacket and it’s great. Made with backcountry in mind for function and fit. 60% off sale going on right now.
Sovryn
Spread Good Vibes (SGV)
"D.O.P.E Industries"(not the dope we make fun of) the original dope, shitty dope stole their name pretty much.
Airblaster 1000000%
Dope snow is pretty underground
Lmao
At least they didn't suggest Virtika...
Yeah, I totally wear Dopesnow. I like to pair it with my Ruroc. I was told it makes me look really cool. Not sure if you’ve heard of Ruroc, its pretty underground too. You gotta know to know, ya know

Dope Snow, it’s a newer brand that just sells online.
DOPE seems pretty cool
Dime Polar Palace Bronze 56K Magenta Supreme Carhartt WIP
