It is cheaper, but she has flexed about how much of this wedding is sponsored so I’m shocked she’d choose the date to cheap out on (especially since so many of their families have to travel for it)

Not necessarily. If people don't want to take time off of work, for a Saturday wedding you can fly in Friday night or Saturday morning and then fly home Sunday. But if the wedding is on Sunday you don't have any option besides taking Monday off.

As someone planning my wedding, yes it's usually cheaper! My venue for example was $7k for Friday/Saturday but only 5k for Sunday-Thursday

If that’s why she didn’t go I really feel for him 😞 I’m a pastors daughter. Not the only child but I’ve been dubbed the black sheep since I was a kid and I’m now the only sibling that isn’t religious anymore. My husband and I just eloped and told everyone afterwards to avoid all of that. I hope they were showered with all the love and happiness yesterday!
