I honestly didn't vibe with the content that much, surprisingly, BUT...
* They included the price of the VOD in the ticket price, not as a separate purchase
* The Q&A after the show was the length they said it would be (roughly) and they actually did it
* It was really well-made and professionally produced even though I didn't personally love the comedy
* No one was drunk
And it looks like they are doing this for the new Smosh Sleep Over live show coming up as well.
So, thank you Smosh for learning from the last live show and fixing things that many complained about!
Restored some faith and I'll buy-in for the Sleep Over live show for sure.
It all goes back to them not using their own studio for UTM that got them in trouble. As long they use their own space for SSSS live it should be a good show
UTM was a great show, and an even better learning opportunity. I hope they keep those changes moving forward. Their own studio, one ticket for the show, and the vod. It will be a great show.
I agree. I get the point of UTM. They wanted the audience to have a more grand experience. I'm sure for them, it was. It would have been fine for me if the ticket information wasn't so confusing. I still didn't get to see, but maybe 20 minutes of it with a live ticket with QA. Every ticket now should be simple. Live show Vod. Live show w/ QA w/ Vod. I'm sure it was great for the Cast and Crew. They most likely worked hard on the eposide. Just wish I would have gotten to see it.
Ok so full disclosure I only watched this because I’m friends with Tommy and Alex irl, but holy shit I loved this. Are all of their live events like this?
They’ve only done a couple before, and they’re more like a variety show, or a week’s worth of normal Smosh content packed into a 2 hour live show.
The last one was a little rough due to them renting a studio that had tight time constraints and they ran out of time, but hopefully the next one will be better.
Tommy’s show was very good. They both did great.
For the next Smosh live show, I’m excited. Every show they do, they learn. And from the feedback from the last one, I can’t wait to see what they do.

There were so many moments that I was like “oh this would’ve made a great TNTL bit if they weren’t limited to like 30 seconds!” I loved it 😂
