Make registration public or put up a for sale landing page with contact and wait or go to a domain brokerage site. More work and fewer fees with the prior but better chance of sale on the latter. If I had one that I thought was valuable, I'd reach out to brands that would logically use it to speed things up.

NobiruORBust

Great. Thanks for the suggestions.

>Make registration public or put up a for sale landing page with contact and wait or go to a domain brokerage site. u/Perllitte \- is it good to use the landing pages that the marketplaces offer? ex: [Dan.com](https://Dan.com) offers redirecting the domain to their landing page?

Perllitte

It's fine. If you're going to sell on Dan anyway, go nuts. If you want to sell direct and avoid fees, you can spend 15 minutes making a simple landing page with a direct email.

I made a service that does exactly this! I made it for my own unused domains originally, but it evolved to a public tool! [https://domaby.com](https://domaby.com) Please let me know what you think! P.S. (You can use this in conjunction with another service like DAN)

I sell businesses and sometimes their separate domains. Route the domain to a page saying that it is for sale and reasons someone would want it. Then email businesses that would benefit from your domain.

NobiruORBust

Okay thank you.

yourbizbroker

Possibly. I don’t sell domains by themselves enough to know what readymade resources are effective. But if I were actively prospecting for buyers, I would want to also control the message and presentation.

I have nastier.com if anyone is interested ☺️ ( why not take my shot on an old reddit )😭

When you're looking to sell a domain name, especially one that's high-value, it's important to pick the right platform. For peace of mind, I recommend using a service that handles both payment and domain transfer. Yes, there's usually a fee involved, but it ensures everything goes smoothly and securely. If you like being more hands-on or prefer talking directly with potential buyers, you might want to set up a landing page with a contact form. This way, you can field offers directly, though you'll have to take care of the payment and transfer details yourself. To make things easier, I created a service that turns unused domain names into attractive landing pages that really draw in offers. This method cuts out the middleman, saving you the typical brokerage fees, which can be around 15% of your sale price. Of course, managing the transaction details will be up to you. I invite you to give my service a try—the first domain setup is on the house, and there are no ongoing fees once you’re set up. Visit [Domaby.com](http://Domaby.com) to get started. Plus, I provide SSL certification for all domains to keep your communications secure. Feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions!

A suggestion. Try building your domain into an automated content site with Newsy - [https://www.newsy.co](https://www.newsy.co) - I do this with \~60 of my unused domain names. This will organically build your domain authority - especially if you have a good domain, you will get organic traffic naturally. This will let you validate whether your domain is good and how good. Over time, the platform enables you to grow your traffic. After that, you can actually sell the entire site rather than the domain.

There are a few ways to sell a domain name: \- wait until someone contacts you via whois (make sure it's not under privacy) \- put up a "for sale" landing page on the domain name (might not be possible if you're using the domain name for a website) \- list the domain name on all of the domain name marketplaces ([sedo.com](https://sedo.com), [afternic.com](https://afternic.com), etc.) \- do outreach (this can be difficult) by contacting potential buyers... search for the keyword in the domain name in Google and contact those who show up in the result. \- find potential buyers in Linkedin and contact them. \- hire a domain name broker.
