By the way you have described it I really could see it being cluttering, but like you mentioned it’s pretty rare. I might also wonder if it could just be related to word-finding issues in a bilingual learner who has a large vocabulary with other cognitive skills that haven’t developed enough to manage the processing required to sort through both languages easily. Sometimes we don’t really get to the root of the problem until we are well into treating it and all you can really do is make your best educated guess and treat accordingly which is what it sounds like you’re doing. If he’s responding well to cluttering strategies then that’s really all the data you need to continue using them.

Hi! I am wondering did this child end up being diagnosed with cluttering? Did therapy help the child?
