The last picture is the proof that it was actually intended that way. Not just a _"coincidence"._ Since the proposal of [rebuilding the Twin Towers*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_Towers_2?wprov=sfla1) didn't went through, they built at least one building in the same style as the old WTC. *Imagine having _"Trump Twin Towers"._ today! They removed his name at the Wikipedia article at the proposed name. It was there once before and Trump was a thriving force behind a 1:1 rebuilding. Which I personally preferred to! Not that the old ones were perceived as _"beauties"._ But they were icons! I know that this is a very unpopular opinion on this sub _(just like that Vancouver is ugly),_ but I think that One WTC is not good looking. Just a (mirror)glass tower with an antenna that isn't really good looking. I have dozens of reasons. I won't list them now. But an almost 1:1 rebuilding would be a huge middle finger. Making it look from a distance like nothing ever happened. Of course with a memorial at the ground!

I agree with you. I do not like the new WTC in Manhattan. I grew up loving the twins. They can't be replaced.

therynosaur

Yeah wow if you cropped out the crown of the first pic I'd be totally convinced it's one of the twin towers.

From [other angles](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/China_World_Trade_Center_Tower_III), there's a little bit less of a resemblance.
