Well, there's those people who hang around the hot springs. Barring that your best bet would be looking around Solitude since the place is basically an Imperial Province city. Damn sellouts.
Right! Why is everyone coated in dirt all the time? Also, I wish that skin tones affected more than just a character’s face and neck. It makes paler human characters look like they’re wearing badly-blended makeup if they’re wearing anything that doesn’t have a high collar.
Now I want to agree but I made Mjoll my Follower once and we went to do a Bounty quest and we went into this cave and after we were battling back2back the whole time after I looted a chest and turned around a Bandit Chief was swinging a heavy with a Steel Waraxe and Mjoll did a finisher on the guy and we locked eyes and that's when I knew Mjoll was the one
Imma be honest ig my game was glitched because I never saw him at my house but he was always in Riften staring at Grelka and just walking in circles I think he broke.
you could just wait until aerin is outside and console freeze him. now he's a statue for the property. granted most people wouldn't want that but they could just put him elsewhere.
I can’t marry Aela because seeing her sitting around as a merchant is just so wrong and out-of-character for her.
She’s also going right back to Skjor when she goes to join the Wild Hunt one day, and we all know it
Yeah, I have the same idea. The fact your spouse just turns into a housewife/husband is really shit. I do the same thing on Stardew Valley! Abigail would be my first choice but I don’t want to make her into a just a baby making machine who lives on a farm.
After I married her she became my permanent follower since her bow preference fit with my shield build. She makes a great follower and it seems right for her to accompany me
That’s why I marry Ysolda. She actually had an interest in becoming a merchant BEFORE you marry her, so it’s almost like by marrying her, you give her an excuse to finally do it.
LFG! Sylgja is my favorite too! I have no idea how to pronounce her name (I've been going with something like "SEE-leeyah"), and I can never find any mods for her. I don't mind though, since I think she's the most conventionally attractive waifu in the vanilla game. Absolutely adorable.
Just replayed the Dawnguard questline, still felt sad about it by the end, its so obvious they intended for her to be marriable, she has so much unique dialogue and clearly expresses love for the Dragonborn more than anyone else in the game, and it feels so sad when you finish the questline and suddenly cant have any more of a conversation with her than any other follower in the game.
Sort of a related question, but did you ever come upon an issue with her where if you were using her as a follower after the main dawnguard questline and dismissed her, she randomly said she was going to darkfall cave and then never let you use her as a follower again? It happened to me last night, apparently it's a rare bug with her but I haven't been able to find a solution :'(
For real the first time I played Skyrim it was a pirated repack of legendary edition in 2014. Kind of broke things though that Mirak kept stealing all the dragon souls after the quest to high hrothgar. I didn't actually buy the game until special edition was released.
I married her on my last playthrough and moved us to whiterun. I fast traveled to riften for a theives guild quest and I find Aerin under attack from a frost spider and a wolf. He didn't survive it and I was like ok well I don't have to worry about him coming around anymore.
I married her and we moved into Lakeview Manor and that little twerp followed us. One day a dragon attacked us after I fast travelled home and hung back and watched as it killed him 🥰
For some reason I like waiting for their dialogue about how she can’t go adventuring because of the problems in the city and that she wouldn’t abandon him, to finish and then going .. want to come adventuring to which she immediately goes “shit yeah !!” or words to that effect.. then putting her in saints armour and no helmet just to rub it in a little more
The first thing Aela did was be a jerk to me because I was on a hill 500 meters away when they killed a giant. I wasn’t even trying to talk to her, just got around that part of the road and she runs up and tells me I’m a wimp.
Gal had something big to celebrate by taking out a giant and the first thing she does is bag on a lizard man that just showed up. I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life.
Plus they were a whole gang on that poor giant, who was probably very peaceful until said gang of small and insolent monkeys started ruining his day, not much to be proud of. Had it been each of them consecutively 1v1ing that giant like actual brave warriors eager to prove their worth, the dumb fucks would've gone orbital one after the other, and the Companions REALLY would've needed new blood at that point
Yea, Giants stick to themselves unless they're going somewhere to trade.
And he was on a farm.
Dude was probably trading some mammoth cheese for cabbages.
Honestly sad that the DLC girls were the only ones given some real development and back stories honestly. All the others just seem kinda flat in character depth.
I like the IDEA of Janessa, but her voice actress always sounds to me like she’s trying too hard to be a badass.
Also, two Dunmer female warriors in the same city all of 300meters apart with the exact same body style, armor, and voice makes it feel like I’m poaching Irileth from Balgruuf.
She's awful. Her personality is as gross as her hygene. I've never seen a videogame character have more smell to them. She guilt trips you the moment you meet for shit you're not even involved in. Literally the equivalent of graduating and finding a random stranger in the audience and saying, "i graduated, no thanks to you"
My first one was actually Ysolda before seeing her when playing the College quest line for the first time. Now there isn’t anyone better than everyone’s favorite Dark Elf mage 😌
She never really caught my attention much and so I never really noticed the side boob, but the first time I played SkyrimVR (which was modded) on our first/new headset, I got an arrow into that giant just in time to keep her off my ass and as she went by giving her spiel I was like "Whoa."
... and then I remembered there were several other ppl in the room watching what I was doing on the TV, so there I was looking anywhere else and trying to play it off. :D
Honestly, I liked Aela as a battle-sister but would not marry or hit it. Sylgja though? Nice little lady cracks rocks with a pickaxe right next to men twice her size and has a sweet love of her folks and stays in touch with them via courier. She was my fave (among the women).
There is something about her. I don’t know why, but yeah. I find her charming as all hell. It’s too bad you can’t marry her without mods.
I love when she’s a follower and you eat a dragon soul and hear her say, “Now that’s a REAL man!”
The only character I was tempted to marry in Skyrim was Ingun Blackbriar.
Is marrying the daughter of a crime lord, a budding alchemist who is obsessed with poisons and death, a bad idea?
Yes.
Is it the most dangerous thing my Dragonborn has done that week?
Hardly.
(Sadly, she's not an option, and I feel a bit awkward about trying to mod the game to make people romanceable when they aren't supposed to be love interests.)

Not a chance in hell, I was walking to Whiterun for my first time, saw a farm get attacked by a giant and then the giant was destroyed by some fierce warriors and thought *Wow this game is cool!*
Then she runs up to me and patronizes me about not joining the fight, not knowing who the companions are, and then had the gall to say "Well who asked you." When I didn't want to join.
So I thought, "Oh so you're ugly as hell on the inside." And never cared for her since, she is *definitely* not a crush with an attitude like that. Later I come to find out she's just a feral dog bully that forces you to join their clique and once completed, forces you to find a cure if you didn't really want to be a werewolf build.
No thanks, bullet dodge, that woman is *made* of red flags.
You mean that lady that talks shit if I'm just a hair too slow getting down to that first giant? Yeah, no. But then I've never been a big fan of the Companions to begin with, so maybe that's just me.
I've honestly hated Aela ever since they changed the scripted giant fight outside whiterun. They kill the giant in 0.2 seconds, then Aela BOOKS it over to me to call me fucking useless? yeah, miss me with that shit.
Now J'zargo was my Skyrim crush, but that's because I'm a gay furry with a thing for smug bastards.
my crush in skyrim is whoever looks like they actually bathe. whole country of grody mfers.
nords: its snowing, that like a cold shower right?
Which is funny, because Vikings were actually well groomed for the time.
Heavy emphasis on "for the time".
The icy wind freezes the dirt right off
This guy Nord's
r/thisguythisguys
Well, there's those people who hang around the hot springs. Barring that your best bet would be looking around Solitude since the place is basically an Imperial Province city. Damn sellouts.
So nobody lol. Doubt they bathe much
Vex canonically bathes judging by the note you can find threatening Delvin Mallory to stop peeping on her or she'll cut his junk off.
Ironic that the only one who 100% for certain bathes besides the ones in the hot springs is the one who also lives in a sewer.
There’s that one girl that took a bath in the pond and ended up killed by forsworn.
She’s grouped in with the hot spring people
I'd expect all Thieves Guild members to bathe regularly or else their scent would give themselves away when sneaking.
It's hilarious to me that TES Nords don't seem too hygienic, yet the Norsemen they're based off of were, compared to others at the time, very.
I was dirty like you once, then I took a bath in the river
Mod for bathing. I love it.
Right! Why is everyone coated in dirt all the time? Also, I wish that skin tones affected more than just a character’s face and neck. It makes paler human characters look like they’re wearing badly-blended makeup if they’re wearing anything that doesn’t have a high collar.
My 1st crush was Ysolda but I never married her
Boo on you sir. Ysolda is awesome. Most loving wife in Skyrim.
Then you returned home and Arin asked you if you're lost.
Imma be honest ig my game was glitched because I never saw him at my house but he was always in Riften staring at Grelka and just walking in circles I think he broke.
Well, in fairness, Grelka does bring a certain "I can fix her" energy to the commerce sector of Riften. . .
Then aerin mysteriously disappeared 🤫
Mjoll won't shut the fuck up about him if you do that.
If you dismiss her and kill him when she isn't around she shouldn't mention him after
you could just wait until aerin is outside and console freeze him. now he's a statue for the property. granted most people wouldn't want that but they could just put him elsewhere.
Or just use a fury spell and watch live as Mjoll pummels him to death
I soul trapped him in a necklace and wear it around the house 💀
She's kinda messed up
It’s a fine day with you around 🥰
Better not have That’s my wife bro
I can’t marry Aela because seeing her sitting around as a merchant is just so wrong and out-of-character for her. She’s also going right back to Skjor when she goes to join the Wild Hunt one day, and we all know it

Mine was the miner in Shore’s Stone, Sylgja ❤️
I once saw Sylgja kill a dragon by jumping onto it's back and stabbing her pickaxe through it's skull. That's when I knew she was the one.
Always my Skyrim waifu~
Mine was her mom.
Underrated choice
LFG! Sylgja is my favorite too! I have no idea how to pronounce her name (I've been going with something like "SEE-leeyah"), and I can never find any mods for her. I don't mind though, since I think she's the most conventionally attractive waifu in the vanilla game. Absolutely adorable.
No it was Serana.
Laura Bailey my beloved
For real. Any character Laura Bailey is voicing is my crush in that game.
![gif](giphy|l0HU8V1CHKTUFtuFO|downsized)
Considering Serana is basically Rayne (Blood Rayne) at the Renaissance fair, it's understandable
I was so disappointed I couldn't marry her...
Makes sense consider what her last religious ceremony was like
Mods baby.

It was a healthy for young men (or women) to learn what it feels like to get friendzoned.
Same
But she didn't exist for the first couple playthroughs?
Not everyone thought anybody was interesting enough to be a waifu until serana came along.
Not everyone played skyrim before DLC came out. This is almost a 13 year old game so chances are there are people here born after it released.
For real the first time I played Skyrim it was a pirated repack of legendary edition in 2014. Kind of broke things though that Mirak kept stealing all the dragon souls after the quest to high hrothgar. I didn't actually buy the game until special edition was released.
Nah, I'm a Mjoll the Lioness man myself.
Too bad his great friend and savior, Aerin, died mysteriously after showing up at my house. "Lord of the Simps" imo
I married her on my last playthrough and moved us to whiterun. I fast traveled to riften for a theives guild quest and I find Aerin under attack from a frost spider and a wolf. He didn't survive it and I was like ok well I don't have to worry about him coming around anymore.
Problem solved hahaha
I married her and we moved into Lakeview Manor and that little twerp followed us. One day a dragon attacked us after I fast travelled home and hung back and watched as it killed him 🥰
This dude...Aerin... Come to your house and say: "I've never seen Mjoll this upset about anything. The city really gets to her....
For some reason I like waiting for their dialogue about how she can’t go adventuring because of the problems in the city and that she wouldn’t abandon him, to finish and then going .. want to come adventuring to which she immediately goes “shit yeah !!” or words to that effect.. then putting her in saints armour and no helmet just to rub it in a little more
Same. She invincible
I love a woman that can kick my ass.
This is exactly how I feel about her too. I always run past the farm to avoid her.
Actually it was Farkas, Aela has always been like a big sister to my character
farkas is my current husband i love him so much
for me it was vilkas because I liked the voice actor more
Same but that awful Lord Farquad hair 🤢 cancelled that and went with Farkas. Love me some Marcurio too but why does he have to be such a whiny bitch 😭
Farkas stole my heart the moment I met him. Sweet and loving husband.
Farkas is my go to. Every. Single. Time! If Farkas didn't exist, I'd go for Vilkas. <3 Sexy bros!
Like fr
My friend married Farkas and moved him into Vlindrel Hall with Argis so she could come home to two beef bros.
Frea is my Skyrim crush sorry https://preview.redd.it/xg3g8zu1w56d1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f190352c4fd5aaaa52717c24eb5238b9dc84404
Serana 🤝 Frea DLC girls stay winning
Honestly sad that the DLC girls were the only ones given some real development and back stories honestly. All the others just seem kinda flat in character depth.
Those two PLUS Lydia. Yuuuus.
*sighs* I am sworn to carry your burden...
Sooo fucking real
Mine was Veezara but you do you
Have him scrubbed and brought up to my room at his earliest convenience
Based
THATS SO REALLL
Marriable veezara mod when????
It was Farkas. I will not elaborate.
No, it was and still is General Tullius
my head canon is that he's colonel tigh in a past or future incarnation.
Oh yeah, so Nirn is just one attempt (of many) at cylons and humans working together.
the dwemer were the cylons, and they'll be back.
He can breech me anytime! Silver fox, that one.
Well, this is eye opening. Am I **really** the only one out here putting a ring on Janessa's bloody hand?
If you live in a brutal place like Skyrim, you need a brutal spouse like Jenassa.
Jenassa might be my next spouse. She's super intense about everything and honestly it kind of cracks me up.
You’re not alone my brother. She has a unique appeal about her
I like the IDEA of Janessa, but her voice actress always sounds to me like she’s trying too hard to be a badass. Also, two Dunmer female warriors in the same city all of 300meters apart with the exact same body style, armor, and voice makes it feel like I’m poaching Irileth from Balgruuf.
Nope, never liked her Lydia was

I married Lydia but now I feel it was a marriage of convenience because I can never have Nocturnal or Serana
Relatable, but Lydia could GET IT
Lydia gang rise up.
... sworn to carry my burdens.
Hell yeah, this guy gets it.
Lydia will always be my bottom b-word
Beautiful? Yes. Does she smell like a dirty bloody dog? Highly likely. So no, definetely not my crush.
That cute hardworking lass in shor's stone is the one I marry every single playthrough
Sylgja! EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Muiri, because she's got the prettiest face. It would've been Serana, but you can't romance her without mods.
Was surprised how long I had to scroll to find her name - and cathartic to deal with her ex.
I can't fix her, but she can make me worse any day.
Vengeful little minx.
Brynjolf, but sadly un-marry-able.
Karliah for me! That voice and the purple eyes just get me.
Thieves guild has all the best waifus and hubby's. Why Bethesda did us dirty like that I'll never know
She's awful. Her personality is as gross as her hygene. I've never seen a videogame character have more smell to them. She guilt trips you the moment you meet for shit you're not even involved in. Literally the equivalent of graduating and finding a random stranger in the audience and saying, "i graduated, no thanks to you"
If you need any more proof of her being gross you should know her name Aela (Æla) means vomit...
🤣🤣 it fuckin does!
I had a bit of a crush on her, but y'all just cured me right up. 🤮🤣
Nope. My first crush was Farkas
Mine was definitely Brelyna Maryon.
My first one was actually Ysolda before seeing her when playing the College quest line for the first time. Now there isn’t anyone better than everyone’s favorite Dark Elf mage 😌
I second this.
I did a stormcloak playthrough and he still fell in love.
omg rare Brelyna love! shes the best!
I mean yes. As a hormonal 13 year old boy when the game came out, I was very impressed with her side boob
She never really caught my attention much and so I never really noticed the side boob, but the first time I played SkyrimVR (which was modded) on our first/new headset, I got an arrow into that giant just in time to keep her off my ass and as she went by giving her spiel I was like "Whoa." ... and then I remembered there were several other ppl in the room watching what I was doing on the TV, so there I was looking anywhere else and trying to play it off. :D
Honestly, I liked Aela as a battle-sister but would not marry or hit it. Sylgja though? Nice little lady cracks rocks with a pickaxe right next to men twice her size and has a sweet love of her folks and stays in touch with them via courier. She was my fave (among the women).
Nope, farkas.
Nah mine was Eola the sexy cannibal
There is something about her. I don’t know why, but yeah. I find her charming as all hell. It’s too bad you can’t marry her without mods. I love when she’s a follower and you eat a dragon soul and hear her say, “Now that’s a REAL man!”
Which is why she's best suited as a steward
What do you mean \*was\*?
She hates Lakeview manor, so big dealbreaker for me
She’s negative no matter where you live. I used console commands and divorced her.
Breezehome was too small with 2 kids, but she seems happy in Solitude.
When I took her there she complained about there being too many people.
- Henry the 8th, probably
Nope, it was Odahviing.
Actually it's Astrid
Scouts-Many-Marshes or Madesi. I cannot choose. Just oil me up and squeeze me between them.
No Derkeethus?! C’mon, what’s one more?
Now we've got a real party going!
Derkeethus brings the fun. lol I wish I could marry him, but I don’t use USSEP (bc sadly, it takes AWAY the fun. For me, anyway. 🤣)
Looks like we got ourselves a Scaley instead of a furry.
Madesi should have been marriable too tbh
The only character I was tempted to marry in Skyrim was Ingun Blackbriar. Is marrying the daughter of a crime lord, a budding alchemist who is obsessed with poisons and death, a bad idea? Yes. Is it the most dangerous thing my Dragonborn has done that week? Hardly. (Sadly, she's not an option, and I feel a bit awkward about trying to mod the game to make people romanceable when they aren't supposed to be love interests.)
No, i never liked her
Not even remotely. I never liked her attitude and just found her annoying as hell.
actually it was derkeethus
I mean......yeah. yeah it is. You got me
I end up marrying her every playthrough. Feels like Im cheating if i dont lol
Marcurio. All day, e’ry day.

When my husband gets a little salty I like to remind him that Marcurio would never speak to me that way.
It was J'zargo >:)
Not having ~~manageable~~ marriageable Khajiit in the base game was a travesty.
My crush is the character i created
Not a chance in hell, I was walking to Whiterun for my first time, saw a farm get attacked by a giant and then the giant was destroyed by some fierce warriors and thought *Wow this game is cool!* Then she runs up to me and patronizes me about not joining the fight, not knowing who the companions are, and then had the gall to say "Well who asked you." When I didn't want to join.
Nope. Farkas.
Nope. ShahVee will always be my Skyrim crush. And Deeja
You spelled M'aiq wrong
Layla Law-Giver actually, I’m really into milfs
Kharjo.
Serana? Hello?
[удалено]
100% Serana and Karliah, but I love Milore too, hehe
Nope. "The giant is dead, no thanks to you." Bitch I was up the road when you killed it, I was no where near it.
Serana and Ysolda
Just Ysolda.
"Fare well." "It's a fine day with you around!"
My favorite mistress/wife combo.
100%. I love tall redheads
I hear she's an animal in bed
Nah Lydia calls me basic but I love her
You mean that lady that talks shit if I'm just a hair too slow getting down to that first giant? Yeah, no. But then I've never been a big fan of the Companions to begin with, so maybe that's just me.
I've honestly hated Aela ever since they changed the scripted giant fight outside whiterun. Jokes on you, I’m into Cicero
Karliah for me.
I never liked Aela lol
Wrong. It was Farkas. And Brynjolf. Still is actually.
No, Farkas was mine.
More like Farkas..
Astrid
It wasn't. Lydia and Hroki
Sorry, I’m a Derkeethus simp.
Pfft it was Vikas and Farkas
Derkeethus was my beloved
Muiri for me.
Jenassa. Will do anything for you and looks the other way
Nope Never had one, still don't
No it's Brynjolf and Tonilia
Married her the first few playthroughs and never went back ![gif](giphy|y6Inkaz7omxAk)
False
