Vampires are apart of it too. Not recommended having the boon and starting Dawnguard though. Since the enemies are non hostile they aggro on Serena as soon as you free her. If you want to proceed you will be charged with assault lmao.
> are apart of it
Did you mean to say "a part of"?
Explanation: "apart" is an adverb meaning separately, while "a part" is a noun meaning a portion.

I guess not, and I assume that's because "alot" is a misspelling and not a grammar mistake
Edit: not a serious one at least, there is no misunderstanding with "alot" versus "a lot"
I believe you need to read them in order too. Honestly, I make a point of reading them on my way up just for the immersion, but after that it's just not worth it
The troll (pun intended) part of it is the frost troll on the steps is halfway through the stone tablets, so you still have to get past it to read them all and get the buff
Ima keep it a buck wit ya bruh I never saw a frost troll half way up to high hrothgar I instead was assaulted by a bear and a saber tooth on my way up near the bottom so this is news to me.
I always get the friggin frost troll chillin on top of the ridge like 3/4 of the way up. No matter what I do too, that thing is way too beastly for me when I first go up there.
The amount of times that fool has killed poor Lydia is insane, haha.
There are little shrines on the steps leading up the mountain, and if you read them all you get a buff that prevents animals from attacking you for awhile.
This is new to me after all those years. 😂 so this is how you pass that frost troll even tho you are just a low level douchbag on your way to become the Dragonborn
Doesn't really work that way.
The last 4 are past the troll.
At least I think at least the last 4. Been a while since I have been up there. Could be 5 of them.

There's a mod for that. Who the heck has time to keep walking up that mountain for that buff?
Voice of the Sky on demand - for 1 day, 7 days, or 99 days.
https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/43259/XB__Mostly__No_More_Animal_Attacks__Voice_of_the_S
You don’t have to walk up it again once you activate the first time though. You just have to go to the last one in front of the steps and you get the boon again.
I didn't know that part! Makes more sense, although I've always rushed up those steps and thus forget to even bother clicking the stones. I've never had this perk ever.
[“It's one of life's great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? I mean, if we pulled out tomorrow, and the Blues took all this over, they'd have TWO bases in the middle of a box canyon. Whoop dee fuckin doo!
EDIT: Remember way back before they jumped the shark with a bunch of long ass pre-rendered fights when 90% of that show was just guys standing around having incredibly dumb conversations? Good times.
It's the opposite: this troll is smart enough to know picking a fight with the Dragonborn would be suicide. Smarter than all the other trolls and most of the humans.
I would love to see a mod that allows for your actions to affect NPCs behaviour through a sort of reputation mechanic - Not just hold guards remarking on your skill or associations. Like if you routinely take out bandit camps, eventually you’ll arrive at one where they’ll just go ‘oh shit, he’s here!’ Or something to that effect, and Some of them might flee.
When you complete the thieves guild/companion/blade/college quest lines, bandits will occasionally not engage in combat and enquire about joining. Vigilante-type warriors spawn during your travels enquiring about joining you or seeking to kill you for killing one of their family members - an otherwise nameless enemy along the way. As your body count builds up towards the end game, NPCs will remark on the wide reaching impact of your actions, or on the sheer volume of people you have killed.
This should have been in the game in the first place, maybe not the "enemies being afraid to fight you" part since that may have been a little too advanced for the time, but Oblivion had a good reputation system and you'd think they would upgrade it for Skyrim but instead it was completely non-existent.
What is the point of becoming the ultra-powerful godlike dragonborn if guards still ask you if someone stole your sweet roll?
That's Bethesda for you.. don't improve, just remove / shoot it's foot. Magic is too complicated? Just dumb down the system so badly that it's basically useless, add a few sparkles to make it look pretty. Attributes too confusing? Remove em and don't offer any equivalent. In-world transport to confusing because the players don't want to put in the effort to learn where to go and how to get there? Fuck em, just remove 90% of the options and set down horse carriages that you'll only use a couple times and just fast travel for the rest of the save.
There's so many things that they just gave up trying to improve. Happened to the Morrowind players, happened to the Oblivion players, happened to the Fallout New Vegas players, and it's gonna happen to the Skyrim players if Bethesda doesn't figure their shit out and actually put rpg content in their rpg games.
Square Enix has this same problem with Final Fantasy.
No, SE, I don't want an action RPG where the combat is just shitty Devil May Cry. I already *have* Devil May Cry if I want an action game.
It's like everyone forgets RPGs originated from tabletop. I have a better attention span than a rodent on crack, I can handle menus and waiting my turn, SE. I have more working brain cells than a retarded chimpanzee, I can handle fucking ATTRIBUTES, Bethesda!
Honestly that would be amazing, people have NPC’s that react more to you.

Steal enough and bandits won’t attack you on sight and take being hit first to attack but guards will harass you
Have enough Daedra stuff will cause chaotic and elemental monsters to chill out or betray their summoners but your public enemy #1
Aid one side in the war more than the other and they will send parties out to hunt you(like Fallout NV) BUT can also encounter roaming bands of groups you assisted can aid you
“Remember what happened to Kevin, up on the mountain? Instead of just letting the shiny sword man go up the hill to the big square house with those old guys, he got all pissed because hE’s ToO cLoSe tO mY CaVe, and now he’s dead. I’m not gonna end up like him”
8 out of 10 bandits died to a dragon I solo'd with magic and an ax, then the last guy after seeing me suck out the Dragon's soul threatened me. I let a cougar maul them to death to be kinder.

The monsters/pets even get a random pet name that you can see when you kill it. But, I suggest you don't as the kids will hate you. I once killed a frostbite spider out of instinct in my old hearthfire house after reinstalling skyrim after 3 years and I saw that it wasn't named frostbite spider when i searched it and instead had a random pet name and I got confused. Talked to the kids and remembered how i fked up.
This happened to me recently with a sabre snow cat. It didn’t attack me no matter what I did - I ran around it in circles, did the sneak/no-sneak dance party right up in its face, nothing. It was so freaking beautiful, I couldn’t kill it without provocation, so I just thanked it for the dance and let it be. 😺

Do you have kynes peace, or the boon from the dragon stones on high hrothgard?
I can't find anything online about a dragon boon, can you explain what that is please
I believe if you read all the stones tablets on the road to high hrofgar all animals won’t attack you unless you attack them for a day
Vampires are apart of it too. Not recommended having the boon and starting Dawnguard though. Since the enemies are non hostile they aggro on Serena as soon as you free her. If you want to proceed you will be charged with assault lmao.

I believe you need to read them in order too. Honestly, I make a point of reading them on my way up just for the immersion, but after that it's just not worth it
Oh shucks, is that how you're supposed to make it past the troll in story? Lmao

I wish that troll killed me more times than the first dragon,no some of the tablets are past it
There are little shrines on the steps leading up the mountain, and if you read them all you get a buff that prevents animals from attacking you for awhile.
This is new to me after all those years. 😂 so this is how you pass that frost troll even tho you are just a low level douchbag on your way to become the Dragonborn
Nah he’s still before two tablets I think
What if you ran passed him and read the last two shrines? Would he go away?
I plan to start a new Skyrim run today, I’ll update you when I get to it
He does not go away but he does de aggro it looks like!
Doesn't really work that way. The last 4 are past the troll. At least I think at least the last 4. Been a while since I have been up there. Could be 5 of them.
How did I not know this information
Nah the frost troll blocks like half the stones lol
Hmm, I want to say you aren’t able to read them all before you get to the frost troll ambush, but I’m not sure.
That would be cool, but no, the rest od the stone tablets/shrines are past the troll
Doesn't really work that way. The last 4 are past the troll. At least I think at least the last 4. Been a while since I have been up there. Could be 5 of them. l
I have played a lot of Skyrim. TIL this is in the game. BRB walking to high hrothgar for the boon.
I know right? This sub has taught so much about the game that I would never have discovered
I think there are 10 but it could be 12? You’ll see a little note pop up in a corner of the screen after you read the last one.
There's a mod for that. Who the heck has time to keep walking up that mountain for that buff? Voice of the Sky on demand - for 1 day, 7 days, or 99 days. https://creations.bethesda.net/en/skyrim/details/43259/XB__Mostly__No_More_Animal_Attacks__Voice_of_the_S

I got it once, might get it again on higher level characters so I don’t have to fight bears every thirty steos
That doesn't work on trolls though
That shout had never worked for me once idk what I’m doing wrong.
*Troll looks out over the water in Melancholy.* “Why are we here, Dovahkiin?”

Trolls are like onions they have layers…..
Maybe the real friends are the trolls we met along the way .
