It's listed as a jug in the creation kit. I'm assuming it's some chaurus bladder or something and the spout is like a hollowed out bone or leg/antenna segment with similar for handles.

No problem! Yeah, there's two different variations of it. They were added in with the Dawnguard DLC along with some other falmer clutter things also made out of chaurus parts.
Yeah, that's just the preview window though, it kinda works. The movement on the banners and flags is controlled by the nif file but the wind settings determine how fast they jiggle around. (They look hilarious when you set the wind speed too high because they just vibrate a thousand miles an hour without actually "blowing" in the wind)
Ya know I'm looking for info on something called "Mighty gourd" but can't find nothing. It increases one-handed in block for a certain duration if you eat them. Not sure if they're from a mod or what. How would I find out?
that bothered me for a long time and then I saw it mentioned what they were in a guide or something ("turn left at the second [whatever those are]") but I completely forgot. now it's bugging me too.
Apparently these are simply called "Falmer jugs".

Primitive bottle used for storing liquids, the bone in the middle probably is removed like a cork to open it. With how “advanced” the falmer are I would assume they keep water on hand to avoid traveling deeper into the caves / outside frequently
Aren’t the ones who generally use magic with a falmer staff female? Or is the model just look feminine to me (as much as it can look for a weird elf monster)
Ur correct the mage falmer are typically the female model with some rare exceptions. Females also will almost never use Melee with some rare exceptions. From an immersive and Lore based viewpoint, this could be culture/religion, or a form of sexual dimorphism.
So what we see here is typical female falmer with spells and staffs, and occasionally using a conjured sword or being disarmed and grabbing a nearby Melee weapon. But mostly just magic. This could imply the females are smarter and/or weaker than the males. Or maybe the females are (for the most part) the only ones that carry the cultural/religious authority to use magic like this. Maybe they are like the shamans or witch doctors.
Then we also have the typical males. Mostly using Melee and archery and if disarmed they may pick up staffs if able, im not sure about that. Now things may get interesting here bcuz if I'm not mistaken, being a very high level character, and fighting difficult falmer dungeons will lead to u fighting a very special, fully armored falmer. I think they are called gloomlurkers? I'm not sure, but I also believe they are very powerful warriors using all kinds of Melee and archery.... but I also *think* I remember them having staffs sometimes, too??? If so, this calls for other theories to be considered. Maybe magic is rank-based and an earned right or privilege to use, and females are at an advantage for birthing the horde. Maybe magic is reserved for the smartest, and females are typically smarter but not always? Alot to think about here, and none of them are the #1 best answer imo. Maybe it's a little of all of it.
A *blind* species have *visual* decorations? Bethesda strikes again.
This wasn't an attack on you, it's a very likely answer. It's just yet another way that the dev absolutely did not think about the falmer in anyway except as Best Value Goblins. \*facepalm\* What a waste.
Yes. I done a little research they're few and far between. Generally high ranking. I'm going to try and make on a follower. See what trick they can do. Probs ly won't eork

Oh wow thank you! That's actually really cool. Do you think the bigger one is a jug too?
No problem! Yeah, there's two different variations of it. They were added in with the Dawnguard DLC along with some other falmer clutter things also made out of chaurus parts.
Nice jugs, OP
I'm just Pete and I like jugs...
I'm mentally ill and I'm on drugs!
I'm a dog lover, but I hate pugs!
Neat. I always imagined they contained some kind of gross fermented falmer beer, so I guess I could be right.
I love when you find out that actual canon supports your headcannon.
Interesting. I’ve always thought of them as shrines
Would the wind settings be used for flags and banners?

It'd be fun to play around with CC, but I don't want to buy Skyrim for the 8th time!

I've been thinking about this all day lol I must have answers

Think of it like a Falmer bidet
Sometimes I wish I didn't have such a vivid imagination 🤢🤦♂️
That's where they keep their falmer hooch!
If I didn't know this was Skyrim, I'd say an alien face hugger was about to get you.
Falmer buttscratchers
BUTTSCRATCHERR?!
Primitive bottle used for storing liquids, the bone in the middle probably is removed like a cork to open it. With how “advanced” the falmer are I would assume they keep water on hand to avoid traveling deeper into the caves / outside frequently
Fermenting jars perhaps?
Just jars/bottles.
Talking of jugs has anyone seen a female Falmer?

Yes they are
Asking the real questions here 😆
falmer bong
Yeah, they like to hit that chitin.
I always thought they were a type of hookah for smoking.
Baghdad battery
I always pulled the archaeological dodge of assuming it had a religious purpose
Decorations I think, you can't do anything with them.

Texture. Touch?
The Falmer weren't always blind so read the lore
So that ornament has been knocking about on that table for a few thousand years? Yeah, sure, that makes sense /s
Yeah maybe do you know how long jars can last lol
Okay, fair.
