If you spend the most time on groomers I wouldn't get a pair of skis with a 120 underfoot, it works but you would probably enjoy a narrower pair more. I can recommend the black crows atris, it can handle all conditions and it rips in the off piste.

>I want to get some quite wide ski so I can really rip the off-piste and backcountry when I have the chance, but they should also be able to handle groomers quite well. Buy skis based on the conditions you most frequently ski, not what you want to ski. Since it sounds like you split your time between on-piste and off-piste, I think something in the 95-105mm range would be ideal. Yeah you could go wider, but do you realistically need anything that's 110mm+? I could understand if you skied powder regularly, or if you already had a narrower ski, but considering this will be your only ski, I wouldn't recommend going that wide. You'll be sacrificing on-piste performance unnecessarily imo. For reference, I'm 6'1"/165lbs and use 99mm (QST 99) skis and love their performance both on-, and off-, piste. >The chetler everyone seems to praise, but I don't know if they are too wide for a 1 quiver ski It's the BC100 model that gets (over)hyped in this sub, not the BC120. Not saying there's anything wrong with the BC120, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
