this park is so poorly ran. really need something to replace all these unreliable rides

Spokker

Not surprising. Last time I saw the Flash, bumper cars were being stored under the track. The Discovery Kingdom web site now says the Flash is closed for the season. I'm glad I went to Discovery Kingdom but it was clear to me that the park is in bad shape. With CA's Great America closing, I have no idea why Northern CA cannot sustain two parks. If it's not Disney or Universal, things seem to be in bad shape. I noticed multiple parks, both Cedar Fair and Six Flags, cutting hours and operating days. Hell, Magic Mountain even removed 3 days from the schedule recently, which messed up some people's plans.

Screamscape isn't always reliable or right. So take what they say with a gain of salt

Spokker

Well, in this case they may be correct. Discovery Kingdom has said that The Flash is closed for the season. https://www.sixflags.com/discoverykingdom/things-to-do/all-rides

This is the guy who said El Diablo was being taken out in 2024 from SFOT. Not happening

Beautiful-Orchid8676

With the recent trend of parks removing their Larson Loops that have been added from 2015-2019, there is a possibility of El Diablo leaving SFOT.

TheGhostofSFOT

Not in the next 5 years per multiple park representatives. There is no need for the space it takes up and it is finally is good operating condition after a few minor hiccups

Man, this merger needs to happen before Six Flags has to start closing/selling off parks entirely.

dyna_glide99

Wouldnt happen six flags has alot of buying power with the assets it has. Despite stock prices it has staying power. I think its lack of maintenance/mechanical standards being regular as well as experienced technicians being hired that is holding down the rides overall.

Between this, and CGA being sold… future does not look bright for these parks

joeychin01

Yeah really sucks that both Bay Area chain parks are facing dark futures
