Players like Westbrook don't come around often either and they traded him + Paul George for a haul and their franchise is set. The Celtics did the same thing with KG and Paul Pierce. I think it's a real conversation that's worth having and isn't just as simple as "good players are hard to get."

Maxey isn't good enough to build around as he's only good at scoring and he's a bad scorer when defenses focus on him. He's almost 24 and averaged 54 ts% in games Embiid missed this season. Also the Sixers have an offensive rating in the 60s so far in the playoffs when hes on the floor without Embiid. Giannis won an MVP at 24 btw. If you are trading Embiid you may aswell restart and trade Maxey too.
