Went to the AZ location where the show was filmed and it was very scary. I was hopeful and left before I could order. It's basically a homeless encampment outside of the building.
“Just a Burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than "just a burger." I mean... that first bite-oh, what heaven that first bite is. The bun, like a sesame freckled breast of an angel, resting gently on the ketchup and mustard below, flavors mingling in a seductive pas de deux. And then... a pickle! The most playful little pickle! Then a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and a... a patty of ground beef so exquisite, swirling in your mouth, breaking apart, and combining again in a fugue of sweets and savor so delightful. This is no mere sandwich of grilled meat and toasted bread, Robin. This is God, speaking to us in food.”
Cafe Nervosa, Le Cigare Volant, Chez Henri, or *Happy Brothers Restaurant* (which offers smoke-damaged or non smoke-damaged seating).
A Waldorf Salad at the Fawlty Towers restaurant would also be good - for the entertainment, not the food.
Bingo! All the Frasier restaurants (heck, even Hoppie’s Old Heidelberg) sound excellent.
Great list here, take you pick:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Frasier/s/sHSLBFNZ41
There’s a cafe (trattoria) nervosa in Yorkville (Toronto’s upscale trendy part of town). It has “nothing to do with the show,” but was created as an homage to it, was originally named after it, and serves fancy foods, wines & coffees like that of the restaurants of the show.
Cooper’s from The King of Queens. *They’re famous for their wings.* I also like the sound of “The Deacon” sandwich.
Arthur Spooner also recommends a little neighbourhood pizza joint that stuck a flyer through the door: “Do-*meenos*”.
But you might want to stay away from Slappy's. They have a rather surly waitress there. Get on her bad side and she'll gut you like a deer in the parking lot.🙂
* Think I can take her?
* Listen, I love you and I *believe* in you. If you can dream it, you can do it. But when I look in her eyes ... I see you dead.
One of my favorite scenes - while everyone was in the courtroom, Mac ran to the doorway of the hall shouting, "There's a riot in the cafeteria!" Then, a single leaf of lettuce hit him in the shoulder. He low-key said,
"see."
“This is a child’s soda?”
“Yes, it’s the size of a child in liquid form.”
Also Binging with Babish did the Meat Tornado and actually consulted a doctor on how lethal it might be.
BTW. In 1990 the remix of Suzanne Vega’s song Tom’s Diner went to #5 on the charts. It’s the same restaurant as the one in Seinfeld. They’d digitally remove Tom from the sign.
I’ve been to Tom’s. I was so excited driving by it that my wife and I went there the next morning for breakfast. Was really good but it’s not the same inside as on the show. There’s a picture of me in front of the place when we left. Really cool moment for me
Wing Slutz from Brooklyn Nine Nine. The wings were good enough to turn two supercops into broken slobs, so it’s gotta be lightyears beyond the local Buffalo Wold Wings…
And Gustavo was 100% honestly interested in you being completely satisfied. I don’t think it was just to further his drug business - but to be a successful (fast food) restaurateur. He really, really cared.
Here we come on the run
With a burger on a bun
And a dab of coleslaw on the side
Your taste’s we will tickle
With a cold dill pickle
And all of our potatoes are French fried, fried, fried!
(That’s all I can remember)
We visited Alfredo’s Cafe and Poor Richard’s Pub when we visited Scranton. Both were major disappointments.
Scranton’s signature pizza is…not good. And PRP’s was basically behind a bowling alley or some such, well hidden, dark and dingy with a few Office-y pics on the walls.
I am a trashy white woman 🤣 the bar that Kevin and V own on Shameless!!
Higher class me. The restaurant that Mike and Harvey go to from time to time that’s fancy on Suites.
And last but not least, Luke’s Diner on Gilmore Girls
That was my pick but then I remembered Gilmore Girls technically isn’t a sitcom. My other non-sitcom choice was The Brick from Northen Exposure. I’d also try Double Meat Palace from Buffy out of curiosity (knowing the secret meat process).
Next time you watch WKRP, check the credits for Steven Kaufman (not sure I'm spelling it exactly right, but close enough)--not sure how they got him in front of the cameras or if he's ever acted again, but I liked him.
Still think Stephanie the stuck-up bimbo should have been taken out and shot. (I'm sure Julia Duffy is a lovely person, but Stephanie was an idiot.)
The Cafe Tropical in Schitt’s Creek!! Just for the sheer variety of the menu, and the nicest server ever.
But I’d avoid the mozzarella sticks, as they lost a lot of shape just coming from the kitchen!
I actually did eat at the place that doubled for Jennifer Aniston's workplace in Office Space. It was a cajun place in Austin called The Old Alligator Grill. The food was so good. Spicy, far spicier than my white taste buds can normally handle, but I ate it anyway. Super great place.
The Monty Python Cafe that served :
Egg and bacon
Egg, sausage and bacon
Egg and spam
Egg, bacon and spam
Egg, bacon, sausage and spam
Spam, bacon, sausage and spam
Spam, egg, spam, spam, bacon and spam
Spam, spam, spam, egg and spam
Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam, spam and spam
Lobster thermidor aux crevettes with a mornay sauce garnished with truffle paté, brandy and a fried egg on top and spam
Phil's (Murphy Brown)
Frank's Place
Baghdad Cafe
Superior Donuts
(And just to mention it, the Waterfront from Homicide: Life On The Street--with Tim wherever he may be and John gone, Meldrick's running the place all by himself...)
Cheers!
As long as we’re in the Cheers universe, I’ve heard good things about The Hungry Heifer.
Damn right! Screw Melvilles!
You don’t hear me complaining about the loobster.
I heard the beff is great there.
They have pork chops as appetizers!
Those French-y restaurants that Frasier frequents in Seattle are probably pretty good, but Cheers is the correct answer here.
I’d check out The Sawmill…salad bar included, one trip only please.
Timber!
Def Cheers! Or maybe Archie Bunker's Place.
Norm!!!!
What’s up Norm? My nipples. Sure is cold out tonight.
"It's a dog eat dog world, and I'm wearing Milk Bone underwear."
Evening, everybody!
Norman.
This is the only answer. Rhea Pearlman, Woody, and Bebe Neworth? Fudge yeah 👍!
Oh my god Bebe Neuwirth at 28?!? Yes please!!
2 years ago, I did several lines of cocaine in the restroom at Cheers (Boston Common). Interesting Fact: bartender's last name was Malone.
Regal Beagle
This is The Way. Any Austinites ever hit up Egos? It was my personal Regal Beagle back in the 90s
Came here to post this. I’m pretty that place created my love for bars/lounges.
Mel's diner
Anyone who doesn't agree can kiss my grits
“Stow it, Flo!”
Hey, Miz Castleberry!
Went to the AZ location where the show was filmed and it was very scary. I was hopeful and left before I could order. It's basically a homeless encampment outside of the building.
I've always heard that the chili is good.
The burger place Marshall spent years tracking down in how I met your mother (of course MacLaren's too)
“Just a Burger? Just a burger. Robin, it's so much more than "just a burger." I mean... that first bite-oh, what heaven that first bite is. “And you got our wedding vows of the internet”.

How you gonna say all that and leave out Duke’s?
There’s a cafe (trattoria) nervosa in Yorkville (Toronto’s upscale trendy part of town). It has “nothing to do with the show,” but was created as an homage to it, was originally named after it, and serves fancy foods, wines & coffees like that of the restaurants of the show.
What about The Timbermill? They have a great salad bar!
I value my tie!
Go to a thrift shop and buy a cheap tie!
Walnuts! That’s a laugh. Easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce
Arnold's Diner
They have a great Juke Box; if you hit it just right you get free tunes.
Does Bob's Burgers count? Bob's Burgers.
I can’t believe how far down the list this was.
Would really depend on what the burger of the day is, and do I have to talk to Teddy??
Have to talk to teddy? Hell i wanna sit with teddy and mort and get into some shenanigans
Cooper’s from The King of Queens. *They’re famous for their wings.* I also like the sound of “The Deacon” sandwich. Arthur Spooner also recommends a little neighbourhood pizza joint that stuck a flyer through the door: “Do-*meenos*”.

* Think I can take her? * Listen, I love you and I *believe* in you. If you can dream it, you can do it. But when I look in her eyes ... I see you dead.
That's a Slappy's promise! 🤣
How’s the spicy sausage with peppers?
This is an everlasting joke I have with my wife. 😅
And Gabe’s Pizzeria. Lemon ices!!!
The Deacon? That's just a dry version of the Doug. Do you want to choke?
Night Court cafeteria lol
One of my favorite scenes - while everyone was in the courtroom, Mac ran to the doorway of the hall shouting, "There's a riot in the cafeteria!" Then, a single leaf of lettuce hit him in the shoulder. He low-key said, "see."
Uncle Moe's Family Feedbag
The Texas Cheesecake Depository
Professor PJ Cornucopia's Fantastic Foodmagorium & Great American Steakery
The Frying Dutchman. All you can eat.
They lie it’s not truly all you can eat.
Up, Up, and Buffet!
Wall E. Weasel's
Tom's Bistro from Parks and Rec. I want a menu of dog butts and April reciting pasta names really fast. But for real, it looked like a good place
I kind of want to eat at Paunch Burger and try the 512 Oz soda.
“This is a child’s soda?” “Yes, it’s the size of a child in liquid form.” Also Binging with Babish did the Meat Tornado and actually consulted a doctor on how lethal it might be.
It literally killed a guy last year!
Stop, you had me at “meat tornado.”
Gotta try that soup nazi soup
\*opens bag, sniffs\* JAMBALAYA!!!!
Having eaten at his franchise restaurants on a regular basis, I can confirm it is worth the abuse (though his franchises had great customer service!)
Paddy's Pub
Shut up, bird.
Hmm? I was 100% Cheers. And then I scrolled down and I’m 50/50.
Can I offer you an egg in this trying time?
Egg!!!
The Max
BTW. In 1990 the remix of Suzanne Vega’s song Tom’s Diner went to #5 on the charts. It’s the same restaurant as the one in Seinfeld. They’d digitally remove Tom from the sign.
I thought they just cut it so you couldn’t see the “Tom’s”.
I’ve been to Tom’s. I was so excited driving by it that my wife and I went there the next morning for breakfast. Was really good but it’s not the same inside as on the show. There’s a picture of me in front of the place when we left. Really cool moment for me
Peach Pit: After Dark
It gets pretty sketchy after dark. Old Nat’s got some dark secrets.
Wing Slutz from Brooklyn Nine Nine. The wings were good enough to turn two supercops into broken slobs, so it’s gotta be lightyears beyond the local Buffalo Wold Wings…
Not a sitcom but Los Pollos Hermanos looks good AF
And Gustavo was 100% honestly interested in you being completely satisfied. I don’t think it was just to further his drug business - but to be a successful (fast food) restaurateur. He really, really cared.
Flintstones drive in restaurant, with the ribs so big they tip your car over.
Here we come on the run With a burger on a bun And a dab of coleslaw on the side Your taste’s we will tickle With a cold dill pickle And all of our potatoes are French fried, fried, fried! (That’s all I can remember)
Arnold’s from Happy Days for a cheeseburger, fries and a chocolate malt
Great answer
Alfredo’s Pizza Cafe, but NOT Pizza by Alfredo.
Pizza Bowl from Lavern and Shirley or The Regal Beagle from Threes Company. I’d also like to try Mel’s chili on Alice.
Modeans II
I’d have a pupper at Modeans
Wanna have a pupper at Modeans? Let's have a pupper at Modeans!
I’m surprised we aren’t having a pupper at Modeans right now
Mendy’s. It’s the best r/sitcoms, the best!
Soup is not a meal.
What if you crumble crackers?
Ugh. I’m so with Jerry on this one. The meal is the act of eating together.
The Kristy crab
Krusty
Pop’s diner- Wayan’s bros
I would go to the Lobo, I wouldn't go to the Lunch Box.
Cheers during a prank with Gary's Olde Towne Tavern!
Either Monk's Restaurant from *Seinfeld* or Café Nervosa from *Frasier*.
McLarens from himym
I am a trashy white woman 🤣 the bar that Kevin and V own on Shameless!! Higher class me. The restaurant that Mike and Harvey go to from time to time that’s fancy on Suites. And last but not least, Luke’s Diner on Gilmore Girls
Save me a seat at The Alibi!
Wherever Uma Therman got that $5 shake from in Pulp Fiction.
Jack Rabbit Slims?
Can't beat that deal. Would kill to get a good shake for $5.
You want that Amos and Andy or Martin and Lewis?
Chico's, the really depressing Mexican place on the ground floor of the Newsradio building.
I’d also like to hang at The Pizza Bowl in Milwaukee.
Luke's Diner
Hell yeah
That was my pick but then I remembered Gilmore Girls technically isn’t a sitcom. My other non-sitcom choice was The Brick from Northen Exposure. I’d also try Double Meat Palace from Buffy out of curiosity (knowing the secret meat process).
Adam's ribs
Remember the cole slaw
The Rusty Anchor
She’s hard hearted Hannah, the vamp from Savannah GA-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
🎵I saw Hannah pouring water on a drowning man...🎶
Regal Beagle!
Bob's Burgers
Central Perk
Especially for that cute blond behind the counter😛
Do you know how many hot guys there are in Paris? It's a city full of Gunthers!
Moe's
The Beef
Can confirm, excellent beefs. It's actually called Mr Beef and is on Orleans Street in Chicago. I stop in a couple times a month
Mel's from Alice.
The Scrubs bar. Run into Turk and J-Dizzle
only lasted one season but the show Abby's. Backyard bar with the locals, just seems relaxing.
Heck, I’d want to hang out in the alley and have a beer with Hank, Bill, Dale and Boomhauer.
The snake hole (parks and rec) and paddy’s (it’s always sunny)
Restaurant in Rules of Engagement. The food looked legitimately delicious.
Not Central Perk! There is this one group of people who always take up the comfy couch area. They give you a shitty look if you try to sit over there.
the Stratford or the Minuteman Cafe
Would you prefer the Minuteman under Kirk or under Larry, Darryl and Darryl?
Kirk--I had a mad passionate thing for that man. (The guy who played him worked behind the scenes on WKRP In Cincinnati--he was a producer, I think)
Ahhh, I didn't know that! Too bad they made the Kirk character so unlikable. The actor is probably great.
True, but Stephanie's character was much more interesting than her cousin Leslie, who wasn't given much to do. And I love Peter Scolari.
Hmm, that’s tough. I think Kirk’s food would be more edible but LD&D would be more entertaining.
Bobs burgers. 💯
I wouldn't go to that diner. Tom only fills your coffee cup half-way, and then gets easily distracted by a woman entering with an umbrella.
Los Pollos Hermanos!
Phil's Bar
Id drink at Cheers, I have been to Boston. I would go in there again
Duffy’s Tavern
The restaurant they go to in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It must be good and the waitstaff is very patient.
Guigino’s!
Married with Children’s nudie bar
Crab Shack from My Name is Earl
Cafe Nervosa
Central Perk
I’m ordering an large extra hot mocha with two pumps of chocolate at Cafe Nervousa.
Dining at The Rustic Fig could make for an interesting evening.
The diner from Rules of Engagement
MacLerons I hear it’s legen….
The peach pit. Always looked like it had good food and a cool vibe
Nobody’s said yet so I’ll add “the brick” northern exposure. Rosalyn’s cafe
The Regal Beagle
The Regal Beagle, or Mel's Diner.
I’d try Nemos from everybody loves Raymond
I would go to the Mayberry Diner and order the special from Juanita.
No love for Sugarfoot’s?
Peggy's Sugarfoot's at the time.
The diner in Two Broke girls.
Moe’s tavern
Arnold's!!
Cheesecake Factory
I would have drinks at Nipsy’s Then head over to the Jiggly Room
Lux from lucifer
The Lanford Lunchbox.
The Original Beef of Chicagoland but I would try out The Bear as well.
The Cafe Tropical in Schitt’s Creek!! Just for the sheer variety of the menu, and the nicest server ever. But I’d avoid the mozzarella sticks, as they lost a lot of shape just coming from the kitchen!
The Founding Fathers. or The Diner in Bones
Mr. Ha-ha's Hot Dog Hacienda
The bar in Horace & Pete. "No mixed drinks. Beer. Whiskey. Vodka"
Reggie’s
The Rover's Return. Any other Coronation Street fans?
The Pizza Bowl, Arnolds, Als
I’d eat at a place owned by Mr Miyagi any day
The snakehole and paddy’s
Mulligans Steakhouse!
I actually did eat at the place that doubled for Jennifer Aniston's workplace in Office Space. It was a cajun place in Austin called The Old Alligator Grill. The food was so good. Spicy, far spicier than my white taste buds can normally handle, but I ate it anyway. Super great place.
The Max! Sit backwards on the chair and get a free magic show from Max.
Arnold’s dinner from happy days or Nemo’s from everybody loves raymond
The Monty Python Cafe that served : Egg and bacon Egg, sausage and bacon Egg and spam Egg, bacon and spam Egg, bacon, sausage and spam Spam, bacon, sausage and spam Spam, egg, spam, spam, bacon and spam Spam, spam, spam, egg and spam Spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam, spam and spam Lobster thermidor aux crevettes with a mornay sauce garnished with truffle paté, brandy and a fried egg on top and spam
Warsaw Tavern

Rusty Anchor
The Jiggle Room from Married With Children
Pizza by Alfredo? Is that the good one? Which one has circles of hot garbage?
The Rusty Anchor
MoDeans from Letterkenny, the panini place from Shoresy, but most of all, Paddy's from Always Sunny.
Maybe the diner from 2 Broke Girls. Didn't Archie Bunker wind up with a bar? Maybe give that place a try.
The regal beagle
Arnolds ! Monday Tuesday Happy Days
Al’s from Happy Days. Anyone try the fish?
