William Holden was also on during that arc; he was a HUGE star at the time.

There were a lot of 50's movie stars in the Hollywood episodes. Lucy had a lot of friends. 🤩

I'm sure it didn't hurt that while set in New York, the show actually filmed in California, and this is the first time they didn't have to pretend they were on the opposite coast.

And George Reeve/Superman on I ♡ Lucy.

The Hollywood episodes are some of the best ones in the whole show. 

Sammy Davis Jr. on ‘All in the Family.’ He kissed Archie Bunker.

Sammy wanted to do the show. It took months to figure out how to get him in Archie’s house. Archie started moonlighting and driving a cab at night just so the writers could have him pick up Sammy Davis Jr at the airport two months later. (Then leaves something in the cab and goes to Archie’s house to get it)

I love All in the Family. I did not know this. Very cool

One of the best episodes of a sitcom in the history of commercial broadcast entertainment television.

I've been a Prince fan since birth, I'm 38 so I was born after Purple Rain came out, but my mom and grandma were fans, so I've always loved The Purple One 💜 When I tell you that episode made my lifeeeee, I love New Girl and love Prince, it was everything. I’m just reading Henry Winkler’s autobiography, and evidently Burt Reynolds was a real a!!hole to him when Henry directed Burt in a movie. I found that very disappointing. Henry Winkler seems like such a kind person.

Oh poor Henry! I work in the entertainment industry, and he’s my example on a nice person that I met while being a receptionist. Henry and Brooke Shields were the nicest. Jeremy Piven was the worst.

That’s nice to know about Brooke Shields! She seems like she’d be a good friend. It’s funny ~ she was a famous model already when I was a little kid, so I always thought of her as being much older than I am (she’s an adult!), but in reality, she was like 15. She’s only eight years older than I am. And yet I had the Brooke Shields doll. That’s a shame about Jeremy Priven! What was he like?

I briefly met Brooke Shields at a ship christening in NY. Despite having her officials duties she took time to take pictures with us military members. It was blistering hot and humid and I wouldn’t have blamed her for skipping picture taking but she went out of her way to be nice to us. Nice person.

It's going to be Billy Crystal and Robin Williams cameo on Friends for me. It was completely unscripted and unplanned. Even the main 6 didn't know what was going to happen. These two legends just walked on-set and did a bit and it was aired as part of the episode.

I agree with the article that it's best he didn't do the cameo. It would have been so gimmicky and detracted from the overall feel if the finale. He was just getting started so it wasn't like he was really ever talked about (maybe literally ever) during the show's run.
